    EP 76: Jesus Rebuked This Church for What They Tolerated! | Thyatira

    EP 75: Are You Compromising Your Faith Without Realizing It? | Church of Pergamum

    Can you love Jesus, stand firm in your faith, and STILL be compromising in areas of your life? Welcome back to Seasoned Sistas! We're continuing our Bible study series on the Seven Churches of Asia in the Book of Revelation, and in Episode 3, we're studying the Church of Pergamum in Revelation 2:12–17. Pergamum was surrounded by idolatry, emperor worship, and cultural pressures that challenged the Christian faith. Yet Jesus commended the believers for holding firmly to His name, even in the face of persecution. But there was a problem. Some within the church were holding to the teachings of Balaam and the Nicolaitans, which Jesus confronted because of their connection to idolatry, sexual immorality, and spiritual compromise. And here's where this gets personal. What happens when the things God has called us to reject slowly become things we've learned to tolerate? In this Bible study, we're breaking down the historical and cultural context of ancient Pergamum, examining Jesus' warning to the church, and exploring what spiritual compromise looks like for Christians today.     EP 74: You're Suffering, But God Hasn't Forgotten You | Church of Smyrna

    Can you be faithful to God and still experience suffering, hardship, and opposition? Welcome back to Seasoned Sistas! We're continuing our Bible study series on the Seven Churches of Asia in the Book of Revelation, and in Episode 2, we're diving into the Church of Smyrna (Revelation 2:8–11). Unlike many of the other churches addressed in Revelation, Smyrna received no correction from Jesus. This church was experiencing persecution, poverty, and intense pressure because of their faith, yet Jesus described them as spiritually rich. And that raises an important question: Have we started measuring God's faithfulness by how comfortable our lives are? In this Bible study, we're exploring the historical and cultural background of ancient Smyrna, its loyalty to Rome, emperor worship, and why following Jesus could come at such a high cost. We'll also break down Jesus' message to the church in Revelation 2:8–11 and discuss what it means for Christians today.     EP 72:  Is It Spiritual Warfare or Is It Self-Inflicted?

    As we close out Mental Health Awareness Month, we're ending with one of the most important conversations we've had all month: Is it spiritual warfare... or is it self-inflicted? Many Christians have been taught to see every struggle as an attack from the enemy. But what happens when the real issue isn't spiritual opposition — it's unhealed wounds, poor boundaries, unhealthy patterns, pride, lack of discipline, or decisions we refuse to take responsibility for? In this episode, we dive deep into: • What spiritual warfare actually is according to Scripture• How warfare differs from consequences• Why some struggles require deliverance while others require discipline• How unhealed trauma can create vulnerability• Why pride, denial, and lack of accountability keep us stuck• How poor boundaries can create access points in our lives• The difference between spiritual attacks and self-inflicted cycles• Biblical examples from Jonah, Saul, Israel, Elijah, and Job• How to correctly identify the root of what you're facing We also discuss: • Mental health and personal responsibility• Emotional healing and self-awareness• The dangers of misdiagnosing the problem• Spiritual maturity and discernment• Why accountability is essential for growth This conversation isn't about minimizing spiritual warfare.
