God is Good

In this podcast, we bring you the real stories of everyday people who have faced significant challenges and emerged transformed. Our mission is to shine a light on how God works in our everyday lives to help us overcome adversity.  In today’s digital age, we're barraged by stories of others living their seemingly best lives. Social media, in particular, can be an onslaught of happy stories and extraordinary adventures. When we’re struggling though, the constant displays of what appear to be the perfect lives of others can have a disastrous affect on us. We ask, why is everyone else’s life so perfect while I’m suffering? Here, we hope you'll find something different and inspiring. In each episode you will hear from courageous people who share their real-life struggles and tribulations. They tell us how their lives dramatically changed after an encounter with God. And they explain what their lives are like now. Are their lives perfect? Well, you’ll have to listen to hear the answer. We invite you to join us on this journey. We’re glad you’re here—get involved, tell us your thoughts, maybe even share your story of joyful transformation.  So grab a cup of coffee. Sit back, relax, and be inspired by the journeys of ordinary people who love God. And discover why God is good...all the time! Real People. Real Stories. Real Transformations.

    S1E24 - Amy's Story: Reflecting God

Amy grew up a devoted cradle Catholic with a strong formation in scripture and the sacraments. But during college, a relationship with a fundamentalist Christian family led her into confusion, fear, and deep questioning about salvation and the Catholic faith. She describes this as a season where God felt distant and she didn’t know how to find answers. Everything changed through a simple, profound moment with her mother—a moment that brought her back into the heart of the Church and set her on a new path. Over time, God continued to nudge Amy gently but persistently: to lead Bible studiesto write spiritually rich fictionto create a Bible study for Catholic womento speak at retreats and conferencesand ultimately—to lead pilgrimages around the worldA transformative trip to the Holy Land in 2016 crystallized her mission. Watching the sunset over the Sea of Galilee, she realized her calling: to reflect God’s light to others. Memorable Quote from Amy “I realized my story is to do whatever He tells me.” (Reflecting on Mary’s words at the Wedding at Cana, John 2:5) Amy’s Favorite Scripture John 2:5 — “Do whatever He tells you.” A verse she sees as Mary’s second fiat, guiding us to trust Jesus even when we don’t fully understand what He’s asking.
