Episode 72: We’re Back! We Gave T’s Sister-in-Law a Mic… Family, Siblings & How to Actually Get Along

Episode Description: WE’RE BACK! After a little summer hiatus and four weeks of REWINDS, we are finally back on the mic together, and for our first episode back, we decided to keep things light, silly, and very PIPA. T’s sister-in-law Gina happened to be in town, so naturally, we handed her a microphone. What started as casual banter turned into a hilarious and unexpectedly sweet conversation about in-laws, sibling dynamics, family boundaries, and what it takes to actually build strong relationships within your family. T and Gina have known each other for more than 15 years, and somewhere along the way, “my husband’s sister” became simply my sister. We talk about why people constantly assume they’re actual sisters, how family relationships evolve as we get older, navigating different personalities and boundaries, and why making time for family feels more important than ever in this season of life. There are plenty of laughs, tangents, and family stories, but also a few moments that caught all of us off guard as T and Gina opened up about what their relationship means to each other. Basically, Gina came over to hang out and accidentally became our first guest back. And honestly? It was the perfect way to end our summer break. What We Talk About Why T and Gina are constantly mistaken for actual sistersWhen an in-law relationship starts to feel like your own familySibling and sister-in-law dynamics as adultsFamily boundaries and navigating very different personalitiesWhy some family relationships get stronger with ageMaking more intentional time for family in your 40sThe importance of showing up for your siblings, nieces, and nephewsMixing families, relationships, and all the dynamics that come with themWhy the relationships inside a family still take workAnd a LOT of completely unplanned banterPink Spotlights 💗 Christina: A $50 Oura Ring look-for-less that tracks sleep, activity, and more without the $500-ish price tag. And yes, it’s gold. We love an affordable find. T: In a very on-brand turn of events, T’s Pink Spotlight is yet another recommendation from Gina 😂 This week, she’s loving some affordable SHEIN finds for mixing high and low, trying something fun, or grabbing those unique pieces you might only wear once. Gina: Since we had her on the mic, she obviously needed her own Pink Spotlight too. Gina is loving mushroom coffee added to her regular coffee, especially for digestion, plus SpoiledChild liquid collagen, another staple in her routine. We missed you. We missed this. REWIND: Pretty Personal: When the Baby Blues Become Postpartum Anxiety & Depression

Episode Description Postpartum depression (PPD) and postpartum anxiety (PPA) can look completely different from one mom to the next, and they don’t always end when the newborn stage does. In this Pretty Personal episode, we share our real experiences with postpartum mental health, from anxiety, sadness and rage to feeling hopeless, overwhelmed, and simply not like yourself after having a baby. We recorded the new intro for this REWIND before the Lindsay Clancy trial began, but the timing now feels especially important. As postpartum mental health, including the separate and much more severe condition of postpartum psychosis, becomes part of a larger national conversation, we believe there’s value in continuing to share our stories and making it easier for moms to talk about what they’re experiencing. What We Cover The difference between the baby blues, postpartum depression and postpartum anxietyWhat PPD and PPA actually felt like for each of usWhy symptoms don’t always follow the postpartum timeline you expectAnxiety, sadness, rage, intrusive thoughts and not feeling like yourselfTherapy, medication, support and learning to ask for helpHow postpartum mental health can affect motherhood, marriage and your sense of selfKristina shares her experience with postpartum anxiety after her second son and again after having twins. Christina opens up about postpartum depression after her second baby, the anxiety that came with it, and what ultimately helped her begin feeling like herself again. But First… We have a NEW intro! We both read Yesteryear and… WHAT DID WE JUST READ?! No spoilers, but we need to discuss that twist. We’re also starting a Pretty in Pink Again Facebook page and hopefully a group where we can all talk about what we’re reading, watching and currently obsessing over. Consider this the beginning of the PIPA group chat era. 💗 Pink Spotlight Each week, we highlight a moment, product, or practice that’s bringing us joy: Christina: A simple morning and evening gratitude note on her phone that has become a running journal of the little moments she wants to remember. Kristina: Giving herself permission to recognize and sit with a hard feeling before immediately trying to fix it. If you’ve ever wondered, “Why don’t I feel like myself?” after having a baby, this conversation is worth hearing again. Love the Episode? If this conversation resonates with you, we'd love for you to share it with another parent who could use the reminder that none of us are getting it perfect, and we're all learning as we go. REWIND: Why Isn’t My Botox Working? What Actually Ages Your Skin, Best Anti-Aging Treatments & What’s Worth the Money with Olga Nelaj

Episode Description: We’re still enjoying a little summer hiatus, so we’re bringing back one of our most popular episodes. Apparently, we’re all wondering whether our Botox has stopped working. 😉 This week, we’re rewinding our conversation with Olga Nelaj, nurse, skincare expert, and founder of ON SkinCare, to talk about what actually makes a difference when it comes to aging well. From customized European facials to microneedling, peels, lasers, and injectables, Olga takes us beyond trends and into the habits and treatments that support long-term skin health. She explains what truly ages the skin, how collagen loss works, when devices are worth the investment, and why what you do consistently at home matters more than any single appointment. We also get honest about Botox and filler, what they can realistically do, why treatments sometimes seem to “stop working,” and how to avoid looking overdone. The biggest takeaway? Consistency beats intensity. Every time. In This Episode, We Talk About: • The biggest factors that age skin • Why sun exposure from childhood can show up decades later • How customized facials support long-term skin health • Microneedling, collagen production, and who it works best for • Light versus deeper chemical peels • Where lasers fit into a skincare routine • The truth about Botox and filler • Why your Botox might not seem as effective as it once was • How to avoid looking frozen or overfilled • Where to splurge and where to save in skincare • Red light masks, collagen powders, peptides, dermaplaning, preventative Botox, radiofrequency microneedling, and more Olga reminds us that in-office treatments can support your results, but they cannot replace the daily habits that build skin quality over time. 💗 Pink Spotlight Each week, we highlight a moment, product, or practice that’s bringing us joy: Christina: Her Pilates reformer. Five months in, and the real shift hasn’t just been physical — it’s the consistency. Having something that fits her life means she actually shows up for it. That’s been more transformative than chasing the “perfect” workout. T: Simple Mills banana bread mix… but upgraded. Real bananas, extra eggs, protein powder, chocolate chips. Her philosophy: start with a shortcut, customize it, and suddenly it’s something completely different (and so good). Olga: Microcurrent — consistently. Not occasionally. Not before an event. She’s been doing it regularly on herself and seeing real lift and tone over time. Her whole philosophy mirrors this episode: results come from commitment, not one-off treatments. REWIND: "KNOCK IT OFF!!!" Millennial Moms & Gentle Parenting: Breaking Cycles Without Losing Your Mind

Episode Description: We're taking a little summer breather and bringing back one of our most-loved conversations from last summer. This episode originally aired as Christina was about to turn 39... and now, one year later, she officially just turned 40. Funny how much can change in a year, yet this conversation feels just as relevant today. If you've ever ended the day thinking, "I swore I wasn't going to yell today," this episode is for you. What does gentle parenting actually look like when you're running on little sleep, juggling work and motherhood, and trying to unlearn the way you were raised? We talk about what gentle parenting really is (and isn't), how our own '90s childhoods shaped our parenting instincts, and why breaking generational cycles can feel both incredibly rewarding and incredibly hard. We also share the real-life moments where we've lost our patience, repaired with our kids, and reminded ourselves that perfection was never the goal. Because sometimes you're calmly validating feelings... and sometimes you're yelling, "Knock it off!" from the other room. Both can be true. 💗 Pink Spotlight Each week, we highlight a moment, product, or practice that's bringing us joy: Christina: Roe Mineral Sunscreen Powder with the built-in brush. It's an easy, mess-free way to reapply sunscreen throughout the day, especially on little faces.  Kristina: Splitwise, a simple app that makes splitting expenses with friends, family, or travel groups incredibly easy and keeps everyone organized. Love the Episode? If this conversation resonates with you, we'd love for you to share it with another parent who could use the reminder that none of us are getting it perfect, and we're all learning as we go. REWIND: Friendships in Every Season (from Middle School to Motherhood) & How Friendships Evolve

Episode Description: Between birthdays, anniversaries, and back-to-back travel, we needed a breather this week. Over the last month, our schedules have completely overlapped. Christina celebrated her 40th birthday with family and friends, Kristina and Nick traveled to Italy for their 15th wedding anniversary and her 40th birthday, and now Christina and Raj are away celebrating both her birthday and their 11th wedding anniversary. We came home to piles of laundry, overflowing suitcases, and real life waiting for us. So this felt like the perfect week to revisit one of our most-loved conversations. This episode was one of our highest-downloaded episodes last summer, and after listening back, we remembered exactly why. Friendships change as we grow. They become deeper, more intentional, and sometimes more complicated. In this conversation, we're talking about what healthy friendships look like in this season of life, how motherhood and marriage have changed our relationships, and why quality always wins over quantity. In This Episode, You'll Hear:  The friendship qualities we're most drawn to in this season of life  Why one-on-one friendships can feel different from group dynamics  How our friendships have evolved from middle school through motherhood  The difference between social friends and your closest friends, and why both matter  How we handle feeling left out  What loyalty really means (and what it doesn't)  Practical ways to build stronger, healthier friendships as adults 💗 Pink Spotlight Each week, we highlight a moment, product, or practice that's bringing us joy: Christina: Getting back into reading. She's only two books into her summer reading list, but replacing 15 to 20 minutes of nighttime scrolling with a few chapters has been one of the easiest ways to unwind before bed. T: A Gucci-inspired kitten heel sandal from Amazon that's chic, comfortable, and proof that none of us need to suffer through stilettos anymore. Love the Episode? Episode Description One year after one of our most popular conversations, PA Stephanie Gort returns to Pretty in Pink Again to discuss how the world of GLP-1 medications has evolved. When Steph first joined us, women were asking how to get these medications. Today, the questions are much bigger. Should you stay on them long term? What happens if you stop? Are the new pills as effective? How do you protect muscle, manage food noise, and separate fact from fiction? This episode isn’t about convincing anyone to take a GLP-1 or avoid one. It’s about giving women evidence-based information so they can have informed conversations with their healthcare providers. We discuss the latest research, common misconceptions, emotional eating, maintenance, wellness culture, and what the future may hold for these medications. Episode 70: Learning to Love the Body You’re In | Turning 40, Identity Shifts & Finding Confidence Again

This week’s episode is a personal one. With Christina turning 40, we’re having an honest conversation about something so many women experience but don’t always know how to say out loud: what happens when you don’t feel like yourself in your own body? And this isn’t just a conversation about weight, clothing sizes, or what we see in the mirror. It’s about identity. What happens when your body changes at the same time your lifestyle changes, your priorities shift, your career evolves, and the version of yourself you always knew suddenly feels a little unfamiliar? We’re talking about the complicated relationship women have with their bodies, especially through motherhood, aging, and major life transitions. The moments when your closet doesn’t feel like you anymore. When the things you used to wear don’t fit the life you’re living now. When you’re trying to show up confidently while privately figuring yourself out. In this episode, we talk about: • Why it can feel so hard to admit you don’t feel good in your body without feeling vain   • The “cascade effect” of multiple life changes happening all at once   • Losing your sense of style when your identity is shifting   • The frustration of looking in your closet and feeling like nothing represents you anymore   • Building confidence again when you feel disconnected from yourself   • The pressure women feel to embrace every change immediately   • Why sharing the “during” can feel so much harder than sharing the “after”   • Aging, turning 40, and letting go of outdated expectations   • Making peace with your body while still being allowed to want to feel your best   • How the way we talk about ourselves shapes what our children hear This isn’t a before-and-after story. It’s not about “getting your body back.” It’s about learning how to live in, care for, and appreciate the body that has carried you through every version of yourself. For anyone currently in a season where you don’t quite recognize yourself yet, this conversation is for you. Love the Episode?
