Friends tell me they’re suffering, I hear them. This year’s been long. But not half as long as the one before that. When my guts were pulled out. Entrails, trailing me. As I walked the in-between. As I walked the in-between. As I walked between town and my flat. Entrails. Leaving my blood splattered past the Waterloo clock, and onto the northern line then angel, and later on the same journey back. We all face times like that, she told me, and I liked her. She seemed to care a lot. And patient after patient. It can’t be such an easy job. I sent an image of my face to my friends, as I careered across… A continuation to come, in some form.
