The Five-Day Fast Where You Still Eat Every Day

Fasting comes up with my clients all the time, and my hesitation has always been with women. So much of what gets recommended is either water-only or so aggressive that someone already running on stress ends up worse off. I wanted to see what a fasting mimicking diet looks like up close, so I asked Renee Fitton of ProLon to show me. She traced it back to Dr. Walter Longo, who spent about 30 years studying what fasting does at the cellular level. According to Renee, the fasting mimicking diet was first developed with cancer patients in mind, people who could benefit from fasting but could not afford to go without food or lose muscle. Her case against water-only fasting is that it’s hard to stick with, it carries a risk of muscle loss, and longer fasts can bring significant drops in blood pressure and blood sugar in vulnerable people. ProLon's kit includes some calories and a little glucose to protect muscle, and she points to ProLon’s own DEXA research. ProLon excludes people with a history of eating disorders, a BMI under 18, pregnancy or breastfeeding, anyone under 18, and anyone with a nut allergy. Over 65, she wants to build muscle first. Most people who use it do the five-day cycle three to four times a year. Renee also opened a fasting-mimicking box on camera. Five days of food in five small boxes: a nut-based bar to start the day, olives from Italy, almond and kale crackers, soups in five flavors, supplements, mint, lemon and hibiscus teas, and a small chocolate crisp at night. I thought it would all be powder. What I appreciated most is that the company supports practitioners one-on-one, because anything we recommend has to be easy for clients to follow. - - - - - About the Guest: Renee Fitton represents ProLon, the longevity nutrition company best known for its five-day fasting mimicking diet, developed from the research of longevity scientist Dr. Walter Longo. The company says its kits have been used by more than a million people and are shared by more than 20,000 healthcare practitioners in its network, supported by a team of dietitians and physicians. The Detox Step Almost Everyone Does Out Of Order

Warren Phillips has been in toxin work for over twenty years, and when someone asked him what he would do differently, his answer was not a more advanced protocol. It was to start with binders and stop there for a while. His reasoning runs through the bile. Fat soluble toxins conjugated in the liver leave through the bile into the small intestine, and Warren's position is that most of that load gets reabsorbed and sent back to the liver rather than leaving the body. Drive phase two harder in that situation, he says, and you are adding to a bucket that is already full. Put something in the gut that binds bile, and you interrupt the loop before you ask the liver to do more. From there we got into why the word binder covers materials that behave nothing alike. Carbon is the strongest bile binder he knows of in the research. Clay binds bile weakly and, at the pH of the stomach, is not what he would rely on for metals. Humics bind some bile, fulvics largely leave the gut, and zeolites prefer heavy metals. He is also blunt that contamination is common enough to matter, because a binder carrying lead is adding to the problem it was bought to solve. I told him about the 15 years I spent doing every holistic detox practice I could find, never using a binder, and testing with my toxin levels still off the charts. The part I keep thinking about is his line that detox should not make people sick. If someone feels worse on a protocol, his read is not that it is working, it is that something is being mobilized faster than it is being removed. We ended on the nervous system, which is where this comes back to my own practice: a body carrying a heavy toxic load sits in sympathetic, and no amount of nervous system work holds while that load stays where it is. Cyclic sighing is the tool I offer patients in the meantime, and Warren makes a fair point that the sickest patients often cannot manage even that at first. - - - - - About the Guest: Warren Phillips, MS, is an environmental scientist and non toxic living educator, known to most people as Non Toxic Dad. He holds a master's degree in geology with a background in environmental science, and he has spent more than twenty years in toxin reduction and detoxification, including eighteen years training practitioners. He is the founder of Non Toxic Dad and a founder of the supplement brand True Cellular Formulas, whose products include CytoDetox. His own recovery from toxic illness is what moved him from field science into this work, and his focus now is on making detoxification simpler and less expensive for the people who need it most. This Solves The Problem Your Supplements Still Have…

I came to this work as an herbalist, so a conversation about how plants deliver their compounds was always going to get my attention. Dr. Jeff Gross spends his clinical life doing interventional regenerative procedures for spine and joints. He stumbled into the plant side through a morning literature alert. He views exosomes as a communication system. Cells release membrane parcels carrying microRNAs, peptides, and growth factors, which the receiving cell takes in whole. Plants do the same to feed us and our gut microbes, which give back in return—a dynamic he calls a triangle. This contrasts with conventional supplements that break plant material open to isolate compounds. His view: nature already perfected the delivery vehicle; extraction discards it. What I appreciated is where he stopped. Asked about senescent cells, he admitted they haven't measured it yet. On brain fog, he sees too many patient variables to attribute relief to one capsule, pointing instead to preclinical markers and upcoming studies. We also discussed lab testing, landing on a truth I share with clients: there's no sense spending so much on testing that nothing is left for the treatments that actually change results. Practitioners running epigenetic panels will have the before-and-after data anyway. The rest is what's coming. A pomegranate exosome product built around ellagic acid (which gut microbes convert into urolithin A), and a sugar-free vegetable gummy for children. I care most about the latter; children's toxin panels are genuinely alarming, so anything they'll actually take is a win. His closing advice isn't about supplements at all: if your doctor lists options and a holistic route is never among them, ask. If it still doesn't come up, seek a second opinion. - - - - - About the Guest: Dr. Jeff Gross is a spine fellowship trained neurological surgeon and the founder of ReCELLebrate, his regenerative medicine practice, and ReCELLebrate Nutraceuticals, which makes the plant exosome supplement LONGEVEX. He studied biochemistry at U.C. Berkeley and took his medical degree at George Washington University School of Medicine. On air he calls himself a recovering neurosurgeon. His clinical work now runs to interventional injections using human derived exosome products for cartilage, joints and spine, and IV protocols for highly inflamed states. He came to plant exosomes through a standing morning literature alert, found a body of research he had not expected, and went on to build a supplement line around them. The Longevity Numbers Nobody Is Measuring On You

Bradley Davie spends his working life around measurement, and this conversation is what happens when you ask someone like that what the numbers actually mean. With roots in kinesiology, he joined InBody in 2016. Attending 150 events yearly across research, medicine, and longevity, he has a rare vantage point on healthcare's future. We start with trends. Bradley notes the time-based billing model is breaking, especially in independent pharmacies. Squeezed on margin and filling meds for metabolic patients who aren't improving, they are asking how to generate cash revenue while creating health. He highlights an Oklahoma pharmacist dispensing love via a coaching program—a concept credited to Dr. Kathy Campbell of the Wellness Pharmacy Network. He also flags hospitality as an emerging care delivery trend, connecting to my work on longevity resorts with Horst Schulze. Then we get technical. Bradley walks through his four-tiered model, explaining phase angle as cellular integrity, extracellular water ratios for metabolic efficiency, and visceral fat as his top metric. He notes that phase angle reference ranges rely on clinical consensus rather than published research. On GLP-1s, he is balanced: they brought needed support, but we must build nutrition and strength training around them. He also explains why early water and glycogen weight loss isn't what people think. We finish on the human side. He teaches me galumphing—exuberant, free play seen in children—and offers his mantra: the less I do, the more I get. He discusses foot and toe strength mirroring grip strength, anchoring a stable core. His closing argument isn't about tech. Data builds trust, but the goal is to stop selling and start solving. Beyond the data, we are human. - - - - - About the Guest: Bradley Davie is a longevity technology educator, systems developer, and process engineer working with health professionals globally. The Ozone Protocol Isn't The IV. It's What You Do Daily.

Blake Miller has been working with ozone since 1997, and he tells the origin story the way people tell stories they have told a hundred times. At twenty-three, he overheard a man at a party talking about ozone, found the sauna he’d been using in Texas, and did five sessions. That was enough. He bought a machine and started showing people. What I wanted from him was the practical layer. He starts with chemistry: ozone is oxygen run through a voltage, holding a third molecule and a charge for a short window. From there he makes his central argument: while intravenous ozone gets the clinical attention, it isn't where he’d start. His reasoning is about reach. IV won't touch the lymphatic system, so he prefers delivering it transdermally. He still outlines the four IV routes: drawing and returning ozonated blood; infusing it into saline; the direct syringe push (an aggressive method run via syringe pump); and EBOO, where blood is filtered, ozonated, and returned through the other arm over an hour. He rates EBOO highly but sets it aside for most since it’s expensive, invasive, and periodic rather than routine. The at-home material is where he actually lives. Ozonated water gets 15 minutes per liter; you blow off the surface gas and drink it within 30 minutes. The sauna takes 30 minutes, three times a week. Surprisingly, he doesn't fill the cabinet—he runs the hose into a kitchen funnel, holding it directly against the targeted body part. Then comes the daily 5-10 minute rectal application (the unglamorous backbone of the protocol), plus ear insufflation and a breathing attachment. Regarding equipment, he favors a cold plasma design over hot-running corona discharge, allowing his machines to run continuously. He also critiques rebranded "American-made" units. I had my own generator running under the desk the whole time. - - - - - About the Guest: Blake Miller is the founder of Ozone for Life and Ozone Purity. He came across ozone in 1997 at twenty-three, after overhearing a conversation at a party and tracking down an ozone sauna in Richardson, Texas. Within days he had bought his own machine and installed it in his father's house, and he has spent the years since refining protocols and building ozone equipment for home and clinic use. He is a practitioner and manufacturer rather than a clinician, and he is direct about the fact that he sells what he recommends. Water's Job Isn't To Hydrate You

Todd Shipman is back, and this time we go straight at water. He opens by throwing out the term everybody uses. Structured water, he says, is a marketing phrase. What he is actually after is revitalized water, and the standard he judges everything against is biomimicry: how does a river do this. That framing does a lot of work over the next hour, because once you are asking what nature does, the design questions answer themselves. He walks through what happens to water inside a municipal system, and the detail that stuck with me is the ninety-degree angles. Nothing in nature turns like that. The reframe I keep repeating came from his mentor, Jon Butts. Treated water is not dead water, it is dormant, and dormant is a word with a future in it. That is what flow form technology is meant to address, and Todd is specific about how it works and what is physically inside the units. He is also specific about what it is not. He will not tell you a wand holds coherence for six years, and his analogy for why is the best teaching moment in the episode: imagine picking one heart rate and holding it for six years straight, awake, asleep, mid-workout. That is not a feature, that is a broken system. Then we get practical, which is where most listeners live. Todd gives you an order of operations, revitalize last, and a straight read on each water type. Reverse osmosis is a tool he reaches for in specific circumstances rather than a daily default, distilled has its place, and real spring water is the ideal if you can get it. He is disciplined about disclosing that he sells what he recommends, and he is willing to say when the evidence is not there yet, including on red light and on structuring water in the sun. The line that ties it together is Butts again: people think water's job is to hydrate us, and it is not. Its job is to be a bridge of communication. Stay strong and live long. This conversation is for education only and is not medical advice. Todd Shipman has a commercial relationship with the products discussed. Individual accounts shared on air are personal experiences, not results you should expect. - - - - - About the Guest: Todd Shipman is a water and wellness educator who works with Natural Action Technologies. He has spent roughly two decades in alternative health and the last seven focused on water, much of it studying directly under the late Jonathan "Jon" Butts, a former military nuclear engineer who became one of the field's most consulted figures. Todd describes his own role as translation rather than research: taking dense material and making it usable by his 74-year-old mother and his 14-year-old twins. He lives in Sonoma County, California. Why She Walked Away From Healthcare To Work On Quantum Energy

Arabica Cunegin did not set out to work in this space. She spent more than ten years as a licensed nursing home administrator, and she says the thing she noticed long before she left was that the incentives around her were not pointing at wellness. When the vaccine mandate arrived she would not accept it as a condition of employment, and she walked away from a career she genuinely loved. Several months of unemployment followed, and then a call from a mentor about a company looking for a director of operations. Four years later she runs it. What she brought to the table, literally, is one of Leela Quantum Tech's Infinity Blocs. She describes it as a quantum energy field generator, and she is straightforward that how they charge the plates is proprietary and not something she will explain. What she will explain is the distinction the whole line rests on. These products are not designed to block EMF, they are designed to harmonize it, which means a meter in the room will still read the same signal. Their clothing line is the piece that actually blocks. She also talks about the wearable capsule, the frequency cards, and the company's own research file, including the wound-healing work they commissioned. I will be honest with you about the last part. I have recorded seven or eight of these today, and partway through this one I noticed something I would describe as calming and said so on the air. I would not have said it if I had not felt it. Whether that is the device or the day is not something I can settle for you here. What I can tell you is that Arabica is candid about which claims are theirs and which are still being studied, and if you are a practitioner curious about where this fits, she explains exactly how people are starting. This conversation is for education only and is not medical advice. The products discussed are consumer wellness devices and are not intended to diagnose, treat, cure or prevent any disease. Personal accounts shared on air are individual experiences, not evidence of a result you should expect. - - - - - About the Guest: Arabica Cunegin is the general manager at Leela Quantum Tech, where she has worked for four years. Before that she spent more than a decade in healthcare as a licensed nursing home administrator, and she holds a master's degree in healthcare administration. The Air In Your Home May Be Reaching Your Bloodstream

In this conversation on The Longevity Leaders Podcast, I talk with Larry Rothenberg of Agentis Air about a root-cause factor that is easy to overlook: the quality of the air we breathe indoors all day. Larry explains that as measurement tools have improved over the last five to ten years, researchers have been able to see much smaller particles than before, and the findings on those ultrafine particles are, in his words, "alarming." The reason they matter is where they travel. The smallest particles can cross the lung-blood barrier and enter the bloodstream, which reframes air quality as a whole-body concern rather than only a respiratory one. We also get into why so many people assume they are already protected and are not. The filter on a home HVAC system is there to protect the blower motor, and pushing air through a denser filter actually strains the system. Even HEPA has a real-world catch: as it loads with particles, back-pressure builds and performance falls off unless the filter is changed often. Larry lays out the alternative Agentis uses, an electrostatic capture method that charges particles and collects them on plates rather than straining them through fabric, and he shares the company's stated specs on coverage, noise, and cartridge life. It is a practical, engineering-first look at a piece of daily health that runs quietly in the background, and a fitting one given that both ASHRAE and the EPA have increasingly pointed to room air cleaners, especially during wildfire smoke. - - - - - About the Guest: Larry Rothenberg is the President of Agentis Air, the company behind the Brio air purifier. He comes to indoor air quality from a long career in technology, and he helped spin Agentis out of a University of Washington research group that developed the electrostatic-foam capture technology at the heart of the product. His interest is also personal: lung issues run in his family, which is part of what drew him to the science of cleaner indoor air. He explains the engineering in plain terms, grounded in research and real-world trends rather than hype. - - - - - Social Handles: Website: https://brioairpurifier.com - - - - - Dr. Isaac Jones, DC Websites: https://healthexpertsalliance.com/ , https://disrupthealthcare.co/drtalks Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/drisaacjones/?hl=en Linkedin: https://www.linkedin.com/in/drisaacjones/ Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/DrIsaacJones/ Youtube: https://www.youtube.com/@DrIsaacJones - - - - - PODCAST Thank you for listening.
