    My Teacher Called Me from Prison

    We’re going back to school this week on Chris vs. The People because callers are sharing stories (or trauma) from their days in academia. First we hear from a caller whose dad turned her drive to school into a scene from a Mission Impossible movie. Afterwards, a caller comes clean about plagiarizing a song from a major movie, and another reveals that she got a call from prison…from her old middle school teacher. The episode is closed out with a tale of summer camp and an absolutely unhinged live action recreation of the Underground Railroad. And yes, you read that correctly.     Chris is joined by comedian Zachariah Porter and the stories are fully unhinged. From a fake Disney Channel casting call at age 11 to taking guitar lessons inside an active chicken coop, they trace the full gay awakening timeline (we’re talking NSYNC magazines, Nick Jonas medical dog tags, and a Shania Twain wall calendar). The two then take a hard left into vaping yourself into an ER scare, a mushroom trip that ended in a buffalo wing nightmare, and a Drew Barrymore Show segment with an unfriendly Vanessa Hudgens that went so wrong they had to add a laugh track in post.
