S1E21 - The House Of Luthor: "Top Of The World!"

Ah, The House Of Luthor. Yes, Lex Tower is a pretty neat place. It's got hidden wine cellars, trap-doored ceilings, glowing green cages, ample space for wedding ceremonies, a secret elevator, an excellent sound system, and -- DID YOU KNOW? -- it's the tallest building in Metropolis?! (Lex may have mentioned it once or twice.) The wedding between Lex and Lois is quickly approaching, and Clark & pals are intent on stopping it -- and bringing down Lex. Jack escapes juvie, Jimmy escapes a degrading job, and the newly-retired Perry tells Alice "I'm goin' fishing!" so he can hop a plane to Metropolis. Working together, the four of them manage to uncover the SHOCKING truth that Lex Luthor might just be "The Boss," a shadowy figure that basically runs Metropolis. But is it enough to stop the wedding? Oh, and did we mention Lex has Kryptonite? Listen along as we drop ALL our thoughts on this incredible first season finale! Our Special Feature this week is: The Official Lois & Clark Soundtrack! * * * * * The House of Luthor first aired on May 8, 1994 Written by Deborah Joy LeVine and Dan Levine Directed by Alan J. Levi Starring Lane Smith, John Shea, Teri Hatcher, Dean Cain, and Michael Landes Featuring James Earl Jones, Beverly Johnson, Chris Demetral, Richard Belzer, Phyllis Coates, Richard Stahl, J. Madison Johnston, Ryal Haakenson, and the distinct lack of a Mr. Cox. * * *  FOLCS Forever: A Lois & Clark: The New Adventures Of Superman Rewatch Podcast Hosted by Molly P., Julie P., and Jenn M. https://folcsforeverpod.wixsite.com/podcast https://www.instagram.com/folcsforever https://bsky.app/profile/folcsforever.bsky.social If you'd like to learn more about who we are, how we became fans of Lois & Clark (FOLCs), or how we became friends, check out our INTRO episode!

S1E20 - Barbarians At The Planet: "Size 7B"

It's hard to believe we're already to Barbarians at the Planet, the first in a two-part, angst-filled, drama-ridden, window-shattering showdown, with an ending so WHAMmy, it's a wonder anyone wanted to come back for the next episode. (We jest... we totally wanted more!) Lex Luthor, intent on securing Lois, sets off to destroy everything that matters to her. Meanwhile, Clark decides it's time to tell Lois that he loves her -- but it  just so happens Lois is ready to tell Superman that she loves only him! Lex also gets his hands on Kryptonite for the first time. With the Daily Planet destroyed and everyone scattered, can things EVER go back to normal? Join us as we discuss befuddling plot divots, ponder what Lois was ordering on that endless phone call, squee over the cuteness that is Martha and Jonathan (always), and share in our mutual relief over the fact that Lois somehow managed to rescue her hardy little desk plant. #GrantThePlant   Our Special Feature this week is: Teri Hatcher On Stage In The Addams Family! * * * * * Barbarians at the Planet first aired on May 1, 1994 Written by Dan Levine & Deborah Joy LeVine and Thania St. John Directed by James R. Bagdonas Starring John Shea, Lane Smith, Michael Landes, Teri Hatcher, K Callan, Dean Cain, and Eddie Jones Featuring Chris Demetral, Patrick Kilpatrick, Castulo Guerra, Beverly Johnson, Alex Nevil, Darby Hinton, Barbara Beck, and at least one very broken heart💔 * * *  FOLCS Forever: A Lois & Clark: The New Adventures Of Superman Rewatch Podcast Hosted by Molly P., Julie P., and Jenn M. https://folcsforeverpod.wixsite.com/podcast https://www.instagram.com/folcsforever https://bsky.app/profile/folcsforever.bsky.social If you'd like to learn more about who we are, how we became fans of Lois & Clark (FOLCs), or how we became friends, check out our INTRO episode!

S1E19 - Fly Hard: "Weekend In Handcuffs"

Today we're talking Season 1, Episode 19: Fly Hard, an episode that builds a strong case against going into work on the weekend. When a gang of baddies raids the Daily Planet in search of a Prohibition-Era treasure, the DP crew (and Lex) are taken prisoner. References to Die Hard abound as Clark struggles to save all his friends (and Lex) from harm. Meanwhile, Lois insists on playing the Chaotic card, while Lex just does whatever the hell he wants (classic Lex!) Some people try to be heroes (good effort, Jimmy!), some just make things worse (LEX), and -- in the end -- an unlikely hero emerges. (Her name? Elvira.) Join us as we discuss this action-packed, adorably flawed episode! Our Special Feature this week is: Cat Grant in the comics! * * * * * Fly Hard first aired on March 27, 1994 Written by Thania St. John Directed by Philip Sgriccia Starring Teri Hatcher, Dean Cain, Michael Landes, Lane Smith, Tracy Scoggins and John Shea Featuring Chris Demetral, Robert Beltran, Macon McCalman, Alexandra Hedison, Anthony Leonardi, Cole Stevens, Don Fehmel and Elvira, Mistress of the Dark * * *  FOLCS Forever: A Lois & Clark: The New Adventures Of Superman Rewatch Podcast Hosted by Molly P., Julie P., and Jenn M. https://folcsforeverpod.wixsite.com/podcast https://www.instagram.com/folcsforever https://bsky.app/profile/folcsforever.bsky.social If you'd like to learn more about who we are, how we became fans of Lois & Clark (FOLCs), or how we became friends, check out our INTRO episode!

    S1E18 - Vatman: "You're My SON!"

We're talking S1E18, Vatman, and once again, Lex is up to no good. He's created a clone of Superman and is raising him to kill the real Superman. Spoiler alert: He succeeds, and we're stuck with Supes #2 for the rest of the series. :( Of course we're kidding. That would be terrible. Which is to say, the clone is terrible. Please, showrunners... promise us -- no more clones? Ever? Anywayyy, join us for some split-screen shenanigans and wacky doings, including but not limited to: Lex giving Supes2 a piggyback ride! Clark walking on the ceiling! Lois throwing pasta! Perry jumping off a bridge! And Jimmy, dear Jimmy, losing his mind!   Our Special Feature this week is: (Unofficial) Lois & Clark Fan Clubs! Here's a link to the Krypton Club newsletters: https://www.kryptonsite.com/newsletter.htm * * * * * Vatman first aired on March 13, 1994 Written by Deborah Joy Levine / Story by H.B. Cobb Directed by Randall Zisk Starring Lane Smith, Tracy Scoggins, Teri Hatcher, Michael Landes, John Shea, Dean Cain, K Callan, and Eddie Jones Featuring Michael McKean, Ira Heiden, Sam Rubin, Wil Albert, John McMahon, Cynthia Ettinger, Tony Felice, Rob Sanchez, and a forgotten toupee lying somewhere beneath the Metropolis Bridge * * *  FOLCS Forever: A Lois & Clark: The New Adventures Of Superman Rewatch Podcast Hosted by Molly P., Julie P., and Jenn M. https://folcsforeverpod.wixsite.com/podcast https://www.instagram.com/folcsforever https://bsky.app/profile/folcsforever.bsky.social If you'd like to learn more about who we are, how we became fans of Lois & Clark (FOLCs), or how we became friends, check out our INTRO episode!

S1E17 - The Rival: "The Fudge Castle"

Lois and Clark are just friends. Nothing more between them. So... why does Lois get wildly jealous when her ex-friend starts romantically pursuing Clark, hmm? Maybe it's because the writers knew we'd love watching Lois jump on Clark's bed, start a fight at a press conference, squeak "How can you be so calm?" and discover Perry hiding in Clark's magical closet. Yes, this week we're talking about The Rival! And that ex-friend is Linda King, the first of many "pals from Lois's college days" to pop up on the show. Linda lies, she steals, she seduces, and she'll scoop your story right out from under you. And sure, Metropolis Star magnate Preston Carpenter is here, too, trying to take over Metropolis and eventually the world, but... is he even the real villain of this episode?    Our Special Feature this week is: The Ultimate, Definitive Guide to Clark Kent's Ties!  To visit an archived copy of the abovementioned website, visit: https://web.archive.org/ Then enter the URL: http://www.chantico.com/alastor/ckties/index.shtml Scroll to 1999 and click on December 16.
