Send us Fan Mail Healing the parent wound begins when you understand why the boss who's never satisfied, the partner who runs hot and cold, and the friend who drains you all feel so familiar. This episode brings together inner child healing, soul contracts, energy work, astrology, and cord cutting with the archangels to help you release resentment and stop attracting versions of your parents. The word resentment comes from the French ressentir, meaning to feel again, and that one definition explains so much. Resentment is re-feeling the same hurt, and whatever we keep feeling, we keep practicing. I walk you through why this happens from three angles. Spiritually, karma is unfinished energy, and our parents are often our first and most intense soul contract, so when a lesson isn't learned with them, it gets reassigned to someone new. Energetically, resentment creates cords held in the heart, solar plexus, and throat chakras, broadcasting a frequency that draws in matching people. Psychologically, Freud's repetition compulsion and Harville Hendrix's Imago Theory show that part of us is still hoping for a different ending. For my astrology lovers, we map the parent wound in your birth chart through your Moon, Saturn, Chiron, South Node, and the fourth and tenth houses, and talk about why your Saturn return between 28 and 30 so often brings these patterns into the light. You'll also hear five of the most common ways the loop shows up, including the one I've lived again and again: friends who leave. Then comes the part you'll return to. Your toolkit for breaking the loop includes the trigger trace, three simple questions that turn any trigger into medicine; the unsent letter for clearing the throat chakra; the Hawaiian practice of Hoʻoponopono; an EFT tapping setup statement for resentment; a cord cutting prayer with Archangel Michael and Archangel Zadkiel; and the practice of rewriting your response when the next lesson arrives. We close with a guided release meditation to meet your younger self and let the cord go. If you're driving, save it for when you can close your eyes. Journal prompts from this episode: Who in my life right now reminds me of a parent, and in what way? What am I still hoping that parent will say or do? What role did I play in my family, and where am I still playing it? What would I do differently if I no longer needed their approval? If I fully release this, what kind of people would I make room for? Releasing resentment doesn't mean what happened was okay, and your boundaries are sacred. It means you take your energy back, and when you heal this, you heal backward through your lineage and forward for the next generation. The loop isn't happening to you, it's happening for you. If this stirred something up, you don't have to do this work alone. Come heal with us inside the Soul Shine Collective. 💜 Support the show ✨ Loved this episode?
