From champion schoolgirl swimmer to a life-changing accident, Helena went on to achieve world records and international medals in disabled swimming, later receiving the Medal of the Order of Australia for her service to swimming. She also had the honour of presenting medals at the Sydney 2000 Paralympic Games. But Helena’s story goes far beyond sport.     Send us Fan Mail Heather Robilliard nee McGuire – A True Sporting Pioneer This week on The Victory Wrap, Rick "RJ" Jullienne and Dale "The Coach" Eggleton welcome the remarkable Heather Robilliard, recently inducted into the Central Coast Sporting Hall of Fame after an extraordinary life in sport.Heather’s story began with a love of horses at Gosford Race Club and led to her becoming a true trailblazer — the first female jockey in Australia to be granted an unrestricted licence by the AJC to race against male jockeys.Her journey has taken her around the world representing Australia, but it hasn’t been without enormous challenges.  After suffering a devastating broken leg in 11 places, Heather discovered snow skiing during her recovery.  What began as rehabilitation became a whole new sporting career, with Heather applying the same determination, courage and competitive spirit that had driven her as a jockey.She went on to become an accomplished alpine ski racer, teacher and instructor. Her contribution to the sport was recognised in British Columbia, Canada, where a black diamond ski run — “Robilliard’s Rush” — was named in her honour.In 1985, Heather also founded Ski Adventures, creating personalised ski holidays for couples, singles and families in destinations around the world.Heather’s life is a story of resilience, reinvention and refusing to be defeated by adversity.  From horse racing to alpine skiing, business ownership and personal health challenges, she has continued to meet life with positivity, determination and toughness. Jake Fitzpatrick’s journey began with the Toukley Hawks as a four-year-old and has come full circle as the player-coach who led the club to its first-ever First Grade Premiership in 55 years, before backing it up with consecutive premierships and four straight Grand Final appearances. Along the way he’s represented the Central Coast, NSW Country, played with the Parramatta Eels, Canterbury Bulldogs and The Entrance Tigers, and earned a reputation as one of the game’s sharpest rugby league minds. Today we’ll talk about the highs, the setbacks, the lessons learned, and the culture of courage and camaraderie that’s helped shape one of the Central Coast’s most respected rugby league figures.     THE VICTORY WRAP - With Peter Batty

    Send us Fan Mail Rick "RJ" Jullienne and Dale "The Coach" Eggleton interview Central Coast boxing legend Peter Batty in Episode 16 of The Victory Wrap Podcast Series. Peter AKA "Cracker Butcher" entertains us with stories of his illustrious boxing career throughout the 70s and 80s.  Peter commenced his career as an 8-year-old attending the Lithgow Police Boys Club, learning not only his boxing skills there, but many life skills as well. Peter took out the Australian Amateur Light Welterweight Championship in 1971.  He married his childhood sweetheart, Sharon and left Lithgow for the Central Coast and swapped boxing for a butcher shop in Umina until the fire burned again in his belly to be back in the ring and it was at this time he decided to turn professional, winning his first 13 fights earning the respect of sportspeople all over the Central Coast and how the nickname "Cracker Butcher" became his calling card. In 1982 he defeated Billy Mulholland taking out Australian Junior Welterweight Professional Boxing Title. He had a total of 32 fights, 19 wins (9 by KO) 4 draws and 9 losses, an amazing record!     THE VICTORY WRAP - With Michael Hull

    Send us Fan Mail  Rick "RJ" Jullienne and Dale "The Coach" Eggleton interview Central Coast "Super Adventurer" and "Super Athlete" Michael Hull in episode 15 Season 2 of The Victory Wrap Podcast series. Michael's conquests include the summit of Everest, the North and South Poles, Mount Kilimanjaro in Tanzania and Mount Elbrus in Russia, just to name a few.  Michael is a 17-time ironman finisher competing across Australia, Asia, Europe and New Zealand. Craig is one of Australia's most accomplished baseball players, born and raised on the Central Coast, Craig's remarkable career took him from local junior baseball to the international stage, including representing Australia at two Olympic Games, a World Cup, and multiple World Baseball Classics. A former professional with the Seattle Mariners and Baltimore Orioles,  Craig is also an Australian Baseball League record holder, and Hall of Fame inductee, and a passionate advocate for Baseball on the Central Coast.
