What Does It Look Like To Act On Your Faith? | 30 Days To Greater Faith

What does your belief in Jesus actually cause you to do?If you’ve just made a decision for Christ, please respond HERE: https://cypresschurch.tv/following-jesusTo support this ministry and help us continue to reach people all around the world click here: https://cypresschurch.tv/giveIn Week 3 of 30 Days to Greater Faith, we explore the connection between faith and action. Biblical faith isn't simply something we believe in our minds—it is something that changes the way we live.James 2 reminds us that faith without works is dead. But that doesn't mean Christianity is about trying harder to earn God's approval. The gospel works in the opposite direction:JESUS → FAITH → TRANSFORMATION → FRUITJesus doesn't ask us to become perfect before following Him. He calls us to remain connected to Him. When we abide in Christ, transformation begins to happen, and eventually, our faith becomes visible in the way we live.In this message, we'll explore:Why biblical faith always moves us toward actionThe difference between earning Jesus and being transformed by JesusWhy abiding in Christ comes before producing fruitWhat it looks like to trust Jesus in practical waysThree questions to help you live out your faith this weekGreater faith isn't just believed—it is lived.Ask yourself:Where is Jesus asking me to trust Him?What action would demonstrate that trust? What fruit is Jesus trying to produce in my life?Don't just believe something about Jesus this week. Abide in Him. Trust Him. And then act on it.Scripture References:James 2:14John 15:4If this message encouraged you, like this video, subscribe, and share it with someone who wants to grow deeper in their faith.Cypress Church | Columbus, OhioAt Cypress Church, our mission is simple:Know and Experience GodFind Friends and FreedomMake a Difference🌐 Website: https://cypresschurch.tv📍 Plan Your Visit: https://cypresschurch.tv/visit🙏 Need Prayer? https://cypresschurch.tv/prayer▶️ Subscribe for weekly messages and encouragement.#30DaysToGreaterFaith #Faith #James2 #John15 #AbideInChrist #ChristianSermon #BibleTeaching #Jesus #GreaterFaith #CypressChurch #ChristianFaith

How Do I Pray? | 30 Days To Greater Faith

What if prayer became more than something we do when we need help? What if it became the foundation of our daily relationship with God? In Week Two of 30 Days to Greater Faith, we explore the Four P's that make prayer work: Priority, Place, Plan, and Persistence. Jesus modeled a life of intentional prayer, and when His disciples asked Him to teach them how to pray, He gave them a pattern that continues to shape the way we approach God today. Through the Lord's Prayer, we discover seven powerful ways to strengthen our prayer life: Connect with God relationallyWorship His NamePray His agenda firstDepend on Him for everythingGet your heart right with God and peopleRecognize the battleExpress faith in God's abilityPrayer isn't about finding the perfect words. It's about learning to recognize who God is, surrendering our agenda to His, depending on Him daily, and trusting that He hears us. Join us for 7 Days of Prayer beginning Monday, August 10! Handling The Pressures Of Life With The Armor Of God | 30 Days To Greater Faith

What does it take to build greater faith in a world filled with distractions, discouragement, and spiritual opposition? In this message, we begin our 30 Days to Greater Faith journey by exploring one of the Bible's most powerful passages on spiritual growth and spiritual warfare: Ephesians 6. The Apostle Paul reminds us that our greatest battles aren't merely physical—they're spiritual. But God hasn't left us defenseless. He has given us everything we need to stand firm. You'll learn:Why we should never underestimate our spiritual adversaryWhat it means to be strong in the Lord instead of relying on ourselvesHow each piece of the Armor of God equips us for daily lifeWhy truth, righteousness, peace, faith, salvation, and God's Word are essential for spiritual victoryHow remaining connected to Jesus gives us the strength to withstand life's battlesFaith isn't built by avoiding battles—it's built by standing firm in the middle of them with Christ as your strength.Scripture References:Ephesians 4:17–18Ephesians 5:1–2Ephesians 6:10–20John 15:5John 8:31–322 Corinthians 5:21Matthew 6:33Psalm 91:1Psalm 119:241 John 1:9John 14:27–29John 10:27–30If this message encouraged you, be sure to like, subscribe, and share it with someone who needs to be reminded that God has equipped them to stand firm.Cypress Church, located in Columbus, Ohio, is a vibrant, welcoming church dedicated to helping lead people to Christ and provide steps to follow after him. The Impact Of Delayed Gratification | Genesis

God has always used imperfect people to accomplish His perfect plan. Throughout the book of Genesis, we see failure after failure. Adam, Eve, Noah, Abraham, Sarah, Jacob, and many others all made significant mistakes. Yet the hero of Genesis isn't any of them—it's God. His faithfulness never wavered, even when His people did.In this message, we look at one of the most tragic exchanges in Scripture: Esau trading his birthright for a bowl of stew. In a moment of hunger, he surrendered something eternal for something temporary. It's a powerful reminder that the enemy rarely asks us to reject God outright—he simply tempts us to settle for less than God's best.Today, we face similar choices every day. Will we choose temporary pleasure or lasting joy? Popularity or integrity? Convenience or obedience? Entertainment or spiritual growth? While repentance restores our relationship with God, our choices still carry consequences. Thankfully, Jesus modeled a better way. Where humanity often chose immediate gratification, Jesus chose faithful obedience, refusing temporary satisfaction in order to fulfill God's greater purpose. No matter your past, God is still writing your story. Creation didn't stop in Genesis—and neither has God's work in your life. He is still forming, shaping, and renewing His people.**Key Takeaways:*** The hero of Genesis is God's faithfulness, not human perfection.* The enemy tempts us to exchange eternal purpose for temporary satisfaction.* Small compromises can have lasting consequences.* Repentance restores our relationship with God, even when consequences remain.* Jesus chose faithful obedience over temporary comfort.* Don't trade God's future for something that only satisfies you for a moment.**Scripture References:*** Genesis 25:29–34If this message encouraged you, be sure to like, subscribe, and share it with someone who needs to be reminded that God isn't finished with their story.

It's Time To Let Go | Genesis

What does it look like to trust God when His instructions don't make sense? In Week 3 of our Genesis series, we dive into the story of Noah—a man who remained faithful in the middle of a world consumed by wickedness. While humanity continued to reject God, Noah chose a different path: one of faith, obedience, and close fellowship with the Lord. Genesis reminds us that God's righteousness requires Him to deal with sin, but His grace always provides a way of salvation. Noah found favor with God, not because he was perfect, but because he trusted God enough to obey Him. This message explores three essential qualities that marked Noah's life and continue to shape the lives of Christ followers today: faith that changes behavior, obedience without applause, and remembering God's faithfulness through every season. The ark ultimately points us to an even greater rescue—Jesus Christ. Just as Noah and his family were saved through the waters, baptism symbolizes the new life we have through the death and resurrection of Jesus. Key Takeaways: God is both perfectly just and incredibly gracious.Faith is belief that shows up in behavior.Obedience often feels foolish until God's promises come to pass.Walking closely with God prepares us for seasons of uncertainty.Remembering God's faithfulness gives us confidence for the future. The story of Noah ultimately points to salvation through Jesus Christ.Scripture References: Genesis 6:5-9Genesis 6:22Genesis 7:12-16Genesis 9:15-16Hebrews 11:71 Peter 3:20-22If this message encouraged you, be sure to like, subscribe, and share it with someone who needs encouragement to trust God's plan, even when it doesn't make sense.
