    32. What are you practicing?

In this week’s episode, I’m sharing a little about my own unexpected inward journey this summer and what I’ve been noticing as I move through a season of reflection, change, and growth. We often think of certain seasons as times to slow down and turn inward, but sometimes that process happens when we least expect it. I’ve been spending a lot of time listening, noticing patterns, and getting honest about the ways I want to show up in my life. This episode explores the question: What are you practicing? Because every day, through our thoughts, habits, and choices, we’re strengthening something. We’re practicing ways of relating to ourselves, to discomfort, and to the life we’re creating. I share how returning to weightlifting has become a practice in more than just physical strength. It’s been an opportunity to build self-trust, stay present through discomfort, and remind myself that I can keep showing up, even when motivation isn’t there. We’ll explore: Building self-trust through small, consistent choicesMoving from feeling like life is happening to us, toward becoming active participants in our livesHow our daily practices shape the relationship we have with ourselvesLearning to choose what feels true, rather than what feels expectedThis week’s somatic practice is a simple circular breath practice designed to soften effort, create space, and remind the body that it doesn’t always have to brace or push. As we move through seasons of contraction and expansion, we always have the opportunity to pause and ask: What do I want to orient to now? And what practices will benefit me in that? 31. Building Capacity, Not Just Calm

We often hear that we should "regulate our nervous system," but what does that actually mean? And what’s the point? This week, I’m sharing my recent experience of going to the depths. Of noticing patterns arising with radical self awareness. Of getting more honest with myself about where I am, and what I want. And making choices that reflect how I want to live my life. Life will always include uncertainty, grief, joy, anger, change, and heartbreak. The goal isn't to avoid these experiences or rush past them, but to build the capacity to stay present with them without becoming overwhelmed. Together we'll explore: Why calm isn't the destination. How awareness and nervous system safety work together. What it means to build flexibility instead of chasing constant peace. A beautiful poem by Henry Shukman that captures the depth of being human. I'll also guide you through a gentle somatic practice to help you build internal anchors—using your breath, the support beneath you, and memories of safety as resources you can return to when life feels overwhelming. If you've been feeling stretched by the uncertainty of the world lately, I hope this conversation reminds you that you don't need to hold it all together alone. If you'd like support in building a deeper relationship with yourself, I also share a little about my 1:1 Embodiment Sessions and how we can work together. 29. Learning to Sit in the Unknown

As we move through the intensity of changing seasons, shifting priorities, and all the transitions life quietly asks of us, this week’s episode is an invitation to reflect on what it means to trust yourself when life feels uncertain. In this episode, I share some honest reflections on navigating change, learning how to sit in the unknown, and why building a deeper relationship with ourselves may be one of the most important parts of healing and living well. So much of life teaches us to search outside of ourselves for answers. To override our intuition. To become who we think we need to be. But embodiment asks something different of us. It invites us to slow down enough to listen inward, notice what is present, and begin trusting what feels true for us — even when we don’t have the full picture. I’m also sharing some exciting news as I begin offering in-person Embodiment Sessions starting this July, along with a simple somatic practice to help you reconnect with your centre when life feels overwhelming. In this episode, we explore: • The complexity of navigating change and uncertainty • Learning how to move forward without needing all the answers • Why embodiment is ultimately about building trust with yourself • How healing happens when we stop overriding our inner experience • My transition into offering in-person 1:1 Embodiment Sessions • A guided somatic practice: Sitting in Your Centre If you’re feeling stretched, uncertain, or disconnected from yourself lately, this episode is a gentle reminder that sometimes the most important thing we can do is return inward. 🌿 Ways to work with me: 1:1 Embodiment Sessions (In Person + Virtual)Beginning in July, I’ll be offering in-person sessions on Fridays in Midland, Ontario.I currently have one 60-minute session available for $85 (30% off). 27. Days That Feel Off

In this week’s episode, I’m sharing honestly about moving through a period of low energy, functional freeze, and feeling disconnected while still showing up for life and responsibilities. We explore what happens when we stop judging ourselves for these experiences and begin relating to them as information instead. This conversation touches on nervous system states, self-compassion, and the importance of meeting ourselves where we are—especially during seasons of growth, transition, or inner change. I also share more about the heart of my work and the whole-person approach that guides Embodied Journey: supporting healing and awareness across mind, body, emotions, nervous system, energy, and soul. This episode includes a gentle somatic practice to help you connect with what is already supporting you and explore what it feels like to soften into that support. Together we explore: Functional freeze and feeling disconnectedNaming our experience without shame or self-judgmentNervous system care during growth and expansionWhy harder seasons are part of being humanA whole-person approach to healing and transformationA grounding somatic practice for safety and supportIf you’ve been feeling “off,” low energy, disconnected, or simply in an in-between season, this episode is an invitation to slow down, listen inward, and remember that you don’t have to navigate it alone.
