    The Alphabet Murders: Three Girls, Three Initials, One Unsolved Mystery | Part 1

    Between 1971 and 1973, three young girls disappeared in broad daylight from Rochester, New York. Carmen Colón. Wanda Walkowicz. Michelle Maenza. Their first and last initials matched—CC, WW and MM. Even more chilling, their bodies were discovered in locations beginning with those same letters: Churchville, Webster and Macedon. In Part 1 of our investigation into the Rochester Alphabet Murders, we look back at the city before the killings, reconstruct the disappearances of all three girls and examine the unsettling similarities—and important differences—between their cases. We also explore the investigation’s first major suspect: Carmen’s uncle, Miguel Colón. Was Rochester being terrorized by a single serial killer, or have three separate tragedies become connected by one of the strangest coincidences in criminal history?     Jennifer Quijano Pleads Guilty to All Charges in Sam Nordquist Murder Case

    Another defendant has admitted responsibility in the torture and killing of 24-year-old Sam Nordquist. Jennifer Quijano became the third defendant to plead guilty in the case, admitting to every charge against her—including murder, kidnapping, conspiracy, aggravated sexual abuse, concealment of a human corpse and endangering the welfare of a child.
