    S2E3: The Vitch w/Brooke Hahn

Season Two, Episode Three of Canada’s Number One Business-Comedy Podcast is here, and Brooke Hahn is back. Brooke, now CEO of Flockler, returns to the pod after delivering one of the earliest perfect pitches in YBIOTL history with BikeWash7000. Since then, Flockler got acquired, Brooke went on sabbatical, and somehow BikeWash7000 still has not been built. We are all disappointed. This time, Brooke joins Shubh and Philippe at Red Mile Records to pitch a new batch of ideas, including: The Vitch, a feminist answer to truck nutsA low-cost way to track kids’ lost water bottles, sweaters, and camp gearA legitimately useful personal life dashboard for insurance, benefits, passports, registrations, renewals, kids’ appointments, household admin, and all the adult responsibilities nobody warned us aboutAlso: Brooke finally receives her YBIOTL light bulb and immediately asks for merchShubh and Philippe debate trucker hats versus dad hatsRose, Bud, Thorn becomes a segment and then immediately turns into mostly thornsPhilippe gives another dating-life update, despite Shubh’s friendship hat trying to protect himBrooke explains why dating is terribleShubh complains about the beer selection at Tech Thursday LiveWe discuss corrupted audio, AI cleanup, Callaway Park, chimney sweeping, sauna insurance, passport chaos, and whether “the greatest gift is the present” came from Kung Fu PandaPlus, Shubh gives a deeply specific Flockler sales pitch and maybe invents “Thorns with Brooke Hahn” as a future Tech Thursday segment. S2E2: Shitbox & KnockKnockWhoisThere w/ Chad Hayden

Canada's Number 1 Business Comedy Podcast continues with its Number 2 season.  Shubh and Philippe record live at Motiv studio, with special guest Chad Hayden. Chad shares his extremely Albertan origin story, from roughnecking on drilling rigs to petroleum engineering, living in Denver and Houston, and eventually building Galatea, a venture-backed oilfield logistics technology company. Then he gets down to business and pitches Shitbox: a camera-enabled system that uses positive reinforcement to train your dog to poop in one designated part of the yard. The idea quickly expands to thermal cameras, Milk-Bone launchers, public shaming, geese, horses, cows and Shubh’s ongoing attempt to name his future dog something that will support a 12-year comedy bit. Philippe then explains a recent visit to the medical clinic, before Chad pitches Knock Knock, Who’s There?, a voice-activated door access system built around knocking, passwords and unnecessarily elaborate ways to let your friends into your house. That somehow turns into an even bigger idea: a company that creates elaborate real-world quests for gifts, birthdays, weddings and eventually venture capital term sheets. Chad also tells the story of attending one Tech Thursday and ultimately landing an investor he met there. They try to wrap. They fail. Instead, the conversation moves into suspicious vacuum stores, a potential investigative TV show about businesses that may or may not be fronts, Philippe accidentally getting free liquor, and finally his very bougie idea for a better Google Maps for boats. Ep30: The Secret Episode

Episode 30 of Canada's favourite Business-Comedy podcast Your Business Is On the Line is here, and it's a "secret". We go back in time to an episode recorded with little preparation, where Shubh and Philippe banter about audio improvements, a hockey-stick tape prototype, chart-watching as the show hits Canada’s top 100 entrepreneurship podcasts. We've got overly long intros, plus Chaz shares a life update about moving to a small Stratford apartment and missing a roommate’s cat. Chaos ensues as Lewis Horwood (PureLend) and Michael Rossi (NEO) are pulled into the room mid-recording; Lewis pitches “runmylife.ai,” an app that uses big-data-style insights to tell him what to do and reduce decision-making. The hosts help to define the product, discuss data access, and Mike riffs on dynamic insurance pricing based on real-time behaviour. Brought to you as always in part by the New Network. Ep29: RestJet + Seb Returns!!

Episode 29 of Your Business Is On the Line features returning guest Sebastian Hiscock (PureLend Co-Founder, creator of SalsaScore) as the hosts riff on SalsaScore, cowboy/Stampede energy, and bringing back “hit” guests and discuss PureLend’s rapid growth and hiring, including what it’s like working the top-of-funnel and the hard-to-test traits of resilience and doing the right thing under pressure. Philippe and Shubh brainstorm a business idea around simulated, high-stakes crisis scenarios as a hiring stress test ), then Seb pitches “RestJet,” a premium end-to-end travel service where customers are anesthetized, boxed, transported, and wake up in their destination bed. The guys also detour into inference data centers (GPUs, model hosting/partnerships), space data centers, and pop-culture references. Go watch this movie: The Game (1997).
