This week’s episode is a live podcast recorded at our Skincare Secrets event with celebrity esthetician Sofie Pavitt. Do we all need to be eating sardines??? We learn about the early days of Sofie’s career designing underwear at Abercrombie & Fitch all the way to Michael Kors, where she got the inspiration to start Sofie Pavitt Skin during trips to South Korea. Freda Scheuer (Led CIA’s Hunt for Bin Laden)

Freda Scheuer was a pioneer of counterterrorism targeting and spent 33 years in the CIA running the al-Qaeda unit before, during, and after 9/11. Her all female team at the CIA was referred to as "the coven" (sweetie-coded), and they worked together to hunt down terrorists even when the old boys club refused to take them seriously. The media branded her the "Queen of Torture" after controversy surrounding the CIA's Enhanced Interrogation Techniques program. Despite this, she received the CIA's highest honor, the Distinguished Intelligence Award. We talk hunting down bad guys with the girls, what the summer before 9/11 actually felt like, getting called "emotional" while the men got called "decisive," Jessica Chastain's character in Zero Dark Thirty, imposter syndrome, and whether or not 9/11 could have been stopped if people listened to women.
