This Is My Baby

Green Olive Creative

This Is My Baby – the podcast where we celebrate the achievements that don’t come with a ring, a registry, or a tiny human. Because not all life milestones are weddings or babies…some of them are quitting a job, surviving a year, finishing the thing, or finally choosing yourself. Every episode, we give flowers to the wins that usually get a polite nod instead of a party. So if you’ve ever wanted to say “this is my baby” - this podcast is for you. Oh, Baby: Meet Scott Wiener's Pizza Baby (Yes, Really)

It's time to meet Scott Wiener -- creator of Scott's Pizza Tours, founder of Slice Out Hunger, and one of the world's leading pizza experts (where was this on Career Day?!) -- and celebrate his pizza baby! Enjoy our most delicious episode yet. - - Scott’s love for pizza began in suburban New Jersey, where weekly pizza runs created a subliminal dietary requirement. A simple love of pizza turned into obsession as he realized the history, science, and culture of pizza were responsible for the various methods and styles. When he started making expeditions to historic pizzerias, family and friends requested to tag along. These adventures grew into Scott’s Pizza Tours, a tour company based in NYC. Scott’s tours have been featured as a top tour on TripAdvisor, Yelp, Lonely Planet, Rough Guides and several others. Scott also writes an award-winning column for Pizza Today Magazine, contributes to PMQ’s Pizza Magazine and PizzaMarketplace.com and judges pizza culinary competitions across the planet. Scott’s pizza pontifications have been featured on The Tonight Show, CBS Sunday Morning, Travel Channel, Cooking Channel, Food Network, Discovery Channel, The Atlantic, Wall Street Journal, New York Times, Vice, New York Magazine and millions of other tasty media outlets. He is also the author of Viva La Pizza! The Art of the Pizza Box, a book about his Guinness World Record collection of pizza boxes. There’s also a full-length documentary about Scott’s pizza-filled lifestyle. Scott also founded Scott's Pizza Tours, which builds strong connections between members of the pizza community and their neighbors in need to fight food insecurity across the US. To date, the nonprofit has raised over $2 million! Oh, Baby: Meet TV Writer Hallie Cantor's Debut Novel

It's time to meet Emmy-nominated TV writer Hallie Cantor and celebrate her debut novel Like This, But Funnier! We are so excited to share this hilarious and insightful conversation about the process of writing a book, forging your own career path, and deciding whether to become a parent. - - ABOUT THE BOOK: TV writer Caroline Neumann is thirty-four and mired in professional envy and self-hatred. Even Harry, her usually supportive therapist husband, thinks it’s time for her to press pause on her career ambitions and focus on getting pregnant, despite Caroline’s serious ambivalence about having children. When Caroline accidentally stumbles on Harry’s patient session notes and offhandedly mentions what she finds in a meeting with a producer, the momentum of Hollywood takes over. Before she knows it—and unbeknownst to Harry—Caroline finds herself pitching a TV show about the deepest, darkest secrets of her husband’s favorite patient, a woman known to Caroline only as the Teacher. Amid the indignities of the Hollywood development process, Caroline must balance her burning desire for professional validation against her own morality and the health of her marriage. And when Caroline forms a real-life relationship with Teacher herself, the lines between art and life begin to blur further, shaking up Caroline’s understanding of what it means to be the “likeable female protagonist” of her own life. ABOUT THE AUTHOR: Hallie Cantor is an Emmy-nominated television writer for shows including Arrested Development, Lady Dynamite!, Dollface, and Inside Amy Schumer. Her work has been published in The New Yorker’s Shouts & Murmurs, New York magazine, NPR’s This American Life, and the humor anthology Notes From the Bathroom Line. She lives in Los Angeles with her husband, who is—yes—a therapist. Like This, But Funnier is her debut novel. Stream our latest episode and help celebrate Hallie's baby today!  - - JOIN THE PARTY: Video episodes on YouTube: @thisismybabypodcast Follow on Instagram: @thisismybabypodcast To request a transcript or submit a celebration: thisismybabypodcast@gmail.com Learn more: thisismybabypodcast.com
