    22: The Artist's Way | Morning Pages & Releasing Creative Blocks

    There is a kind of medicine that comes from picking up a pen and just letting go. Last year, I found the book The Artist's Way by Julia Cameron. I was working with a mentor at the time, trying to deepen my connection with my womb and my voice. This book cracked something open in me that I did not see coming. Morning pages are a simple writing practice. You just write whatever comes to mind, with no rules and no editing. This practice can help you break through creative blocks and feel connected to your own creative power again. I talk about why the process matters more than the finished product. I also share how to make white space in your day, and how to let go of old rules about what counts as creative.     I used to shape every part of myself to fit what other people wanted. I didn't even realize how much energy that was costing me until I finally stepped away from it.
