Faith, Grief, and the Healing Power of Storytelling with Award-Winning Author Faye Roots

Faye Roots Award-Winning Author, Storyteller, and Christian Creative Sharing a Lifetime of Faith, Imagination, and Inspiration. I am an Australian author, storyteller, wife, mother, grandmother, and woman of faith whose life journey has been shaped by love, loss, creativity, and an enduring search for truth. My husband David and I lived for 41 years on a rural block of land in the peaceful community of Wolvi near Gympie, Queensland, before moving to a retirement village in the beautiful coastal town of Caloundra, also in Queensland. Together, we have shared more than fifty-six years of marriage, raised three wonderful children, and been blessed with five grandchildren. Looking back, I see a life woven together with both extraordinary joys and difficult challenges, each one teaching me something valuable about faith, resilience, and the grace of God. Long before I became a published author, I was simply a little girl with a vivid imagination and a love for stories. At the age of twelve, I won my first essay competition, and from that moment, writing became a lifelong passion. Over the years, I have written short stories, devotionals, novels, memoirs, poetry, inspirational books, and a children's book series that continues to bring joy to young readers. Writing has never been just a creative outlet for me. It has been a journey of discovery. Throughout my life, I have been fascinated by one question: What is truth, and what is imagination? That question has guided much of my writing and ultimately led me to a deeper understanding of faith, purpose, and the God who created us to dream, create, and hope. My first novel, ‘Beyond the Ashes,’ was truly a labor of love. Although the characters were fictional, they became very real to me, and their story simply had to be told. Later, I wrote ‘Marranga Limga’ and its sequel, ‘Legacy of Limga,’ historical fiction novels set in nineteenth-century Queensland that explore faith, courage, and perseverance during the challenges of early settlement. One of the most meaningful books I have written is ‘Shafts of Gold,’ my memoir. It was never intended to shine a light on me, but rather to honor the One who has guided me throughout my life. Encouraged by family, friends, my Christian mentor, and especially by the memory of my beloved daughter Alison, who went home to God in 2021, I shared my story of faith, discovery, heartbreak, and hope. Through every chapter of my life, I have witnessed God's presence in ways that were often unexpected, profound, and sometimes miraculous. Now in my eighties, I continue to write because I believe stories have the power to encourage, heal, and connect us. Whether I am writing fiction, memoir, poetry, spiritual reflections, or children's stories, my desire is always the same to leave readers with hope. I love speaking about faith, creativity, the writing journey, family, resilience, grief, aging with purpose, and the lessons learned from a lifetime of following God's leading. If my experiences can encourage even one person to keep believing, keep creating, or keep moving forward through difficult seasons, then every word I have written has been worthwhile. After all these years, I still believe that every life tells a story, and some of the most meaningful chapters are often written after we think the story is finished. Robbie Mould on Turning Coaching Interest into Client Conversations Through Better Websites, Clear Positioning, Trust, and AI Discovery

Robbie Mould Helping Coaches Turn Interest Into Client Conversations | Creator of the Interest-to-Client Framework I’m Robbie Mould, Managing Director of Mativus. I work with experienced coaches, particularly ICF-accredited coaches, to help them turn the interest they are already creating into more of the right client conversations. My background is in websites, digital strategy and technology. Over the years, I started noticing the same problem with many very good coaches. They were doing all the things they had been told to do. They were posting on LinkedIn, speaking at events, appearing on podcasts, writing books, networking and building strong reputations. Yet all that activity was not always turning into the number or quality of clients they expected. Usually, the problem was not that they needed to work harder or become better at selling. There was simply a gap between someone becoming interested in them and knowing what to do next. That is what led me to develop what we now call the Interest-to-Client Framework. The idea is simple. If somebody hears you on a podcast, reads one of your LinkedIn posts or sees you speak at an event, what happens next? They might visit your website. They might look at your LinkedIn profile. They might read a few pages, disappear for a week and come back later. They may be interested, but nowhere near ready to book a discovery call. I believe coaches need to make that journey easier. Not by using aggressive sales tactics, complicated funnels or constant follow-up. In fact, most coaches I meet are uncomfortable with traditional marketing because it often feels at odds with how they want to work with people. My approach is different. I look at how coaches can create a clear, useful path that helps the right person understand who they help, recognise themselves in the message, build trust and decide when they are ready to have a conversation. Through Mativus, we help coaches put that thinking into practice using their positioning, website, content, lead capture, follow-up and CRM. But I am much more interested in the thinking behind the system than simply talking about websites. Some of my favourite conversations are around questions such as why an impressive coaching website can still fail to generate clients, why more LinkedIn activity is not always the answer, how coaches can market themselves without feeling pushy, and what actually happens in the weeks or months between somebody discovering a coach and eventually deciding to contact them. I also have a growing interest in how AI is changing the way people find experts. More potential clients are now asking tools such as ChatGPT questions they would previously have typed into Google. That creates a completely new challenge for coaches who want to be discoverable and understood online. Hosted by Simplecast, an AdsWizz company.
