    A Force of Nature with Chrissy Heyne....

    My guest on episode 26 of “Tight 10 with Dave Dyer” is Chrissy Heyne. Chrissy hails from the City of Chicago. She’s an Iowa Hawkeye. She worked for Teach for America, Failure Lab, she’s been an education consultant and executive coach for years.  She has two beautiful children, Jonas and Ruby.  She is also one of my favorite people to work out with (even though we haven’t in years) and she and I finished 5th out of about 40-50 teams in a CrossFit Competition called “Compete with a Cougar or WOD with a Sugar Daddy” where the teams had to be a man and a woman at least 10 years apart in age and we were BY FAR the oldest team there. She’s a force of nature and amazing friend, it’s Chrissy Heyne!!!     Defending the Flag and Fixing RV's with Chad Randall...my friend.

    My guest on episode 25 of “Tight 10 with Dave Dyer” is Chad Randall. Chad retired as a Lt. Colonel from the Michigan National Guard a couple years ago. He was a Ranger in the Army.  He’s a father. He’s a husband. He’s one of the best people in the world to have a beer with. He and I have the honor of being kicked out of a bar owned by our boss during our company Christmas party. AND if you need to borrow a tool, ask Chad because he owns two of everything ever made.  He was the Best Man in our wedding and I love him dearly…it’s my friend, Chad Randall!!!     On Wings of Gold with Comedian Tim Finkel.....

    My guest on episode 24 of “Tight 10 with Dave Dyer” is Tim Finkel.  Tim is a comedian, husband, father, and education software sales manager. He won the Single Speed Elite Class at the Iceman Mountain Bike Race in Northern Michigan in 2011 and 2012. He’s a man who never settles for stock and upgrades everything. On a serious note, Tim started doing stand up after losing his brother 11 years ago as a way to deal with the grief. And last year, he and his lovely wife Angie and their son Wyatt, sadly said goodbye to their son, Ryder who passed away after a valiant battle with a cancer called DIPG (Diffuse Intrinsic Pontine Glioma).  Before his passing and since then, Tim has made tremendous efforts to bring awareness to the struggles with DIPG and advocate for the research to find a cure.     Channeling The Bandito with Motorcycle Racer Skyler Howes!!!

    My guest on episode 23 of “Tight 10 with Dave Dyer” is professional motorcycle racer who hails from Souther Utah by way of Riverside, CA.  He’s raced in the Dakar Rally (where he finished 3rd in 2023), the Abu Dhabi Desert Challenge, the South African Safari Rally, the BP Ultimate Rally-Raid in Portugal, AND the Vegas to Reno Race!  He has what’s widely considered to be the best mustache in the motorcycle world, but maybe not in the hot air balloon world!  It’s Skyler Howes!!!     Movin' On with Radio Legend Michelle McKormick...

    My guest on episode 22 of “Tight 10 with Dave Dyer” is radio icon and thrift shop virtuoso, Michelle McKormick! Michelle started her career in 1984 at WGRD in Grand Rapids, MI while she was still a student at Central Michigan University. She then went on to New Jersey, came back to Grand Rapids, went to Detroit where she was part of a very successful show with Gregg Henson.  Came BACK to Grand Rapids and worked with Scott Winters, Kevin Matthews, Tony Gates, and GREGG HENSON again!! He’s hosted TV shows on the Science Channel, The Game Show Network, and “Movies at Our House” on AMC.  He worked with Conan O’Brien on “The Tonight Show” and on the TBS show “Conan”.  He’s been the host of the successful AND pioneering podcast “Never Not Funny” since it started in 2006.     Staying Focused with WNBA Player Grace VanSlooten....

    My guest on Episode 20 of “Tight 10 with Dave Dyer” is WNBA player, Grace Van Slooten.  Grace grew up in Toledo, OH where she was a stand out basketball player at Notre Dame Academy.  She spent her senior year playing hoops at the IMG Academy in Florida.  By her high school graduation, she had received over 30 Division 1 full ride offers to play basketball in college. She chose to go to Oregon and after two years transferred to Michigan State (Go Green)!  She’s represented the U.S. on three occasions in tournaments overseas and last spring she was selected 39th overall in the WNBA Draft going to the Seattle Storm before being picked up on waivers by the Indiana Fever.  She’s also the daughter of my brother and sister-in-law…so that makes her my niece.  Ladies and gentleman, it’s professional basketball player, Grace Van Slooten!!!  You can find Grace on Instagram at @gracevanslooten.     Drawing a Line in the Sand with 2-Time Dakar Rally Winner Ricky Brabec!

    My guest on this Episode 19 of “Tight 10 with Dave Dyer” is Professional Motorcycle Racer and 2-time Dakar Rally winner, Ricky Brabec!  In 2014 Ricky won the Baja 1000, the Baja 500, and the San Felipe 250 Endurance Races.  He’s represented the U.S. in the International Six Days Enduro competition, which is the oldest sanctioned competition going all the way back to 1913.  Oh, and about those Dakar Rally wins…Ricky’s the first American to win that race on a motorcycle…take that, rest-of-the-world.
