Comin' in Hot: Jay-Z's Cecred Vlog, Tia Mowry's New Boo, the N-Word Debate & June’s Black Media

Rae and Nai are coming in hot this week! The week had TOO much going on, chile. They break down Beyoncé's Cécred vlog "The Blueprint," the intimate moment that had everyone talking: Jay-Z combing out his locs, the backstory behind why he grew them, and what it means to see a Black father affirm his daughter's beauty through action, not words. They also discuss what Beyoncé's brand play says about the product and whether the Cécred era might be stealing her from the stage. Then things get personal. Tia Mowry's new man sparked a whole conversation about first loves, marrying young, and what it looks like to actually manifest a partner. Rae and Nai both share their own first love confessions and what they would and wouldn't do differently. And the Twitter debate: a viral tweet about growing up in an "N-word household" had the internet split. Rae and Nai share where they stand and what it actually says about how Black families have been shaped over generations. The episode wraps with the June Black Media Roundup. Nai spotlights Elmiene and Alicia Keys' Hell's Kitchen musical. Rae gives her flowers to the Black women honored this month, including Chaka Khan and Kelly Rowland at the Black Women in Music Dinner. Cuffed 2… Tay Keith, Michelle Obama, BET Show Revivals & BET Award Show Performances as Zodiacs

Cuffed 2… Tay Keith, Michelle Obama, BET Show Revivals & Award Show Performances as Zodiacs. It’s BET Awards month and we are fully leaning into it. This week for Comin' in Hot, we’re sending love to the late Tay Keith and his loved ones, gushing over Michelle Obama’s speech at the opening of Barack’s presidential library, and breaking down BET’s Comic View revival. Then we get into the main event. We’re pitching the BET shows we would bring back if we ran the network for a day. Baldwin Hills needs a franchise era. Hell Date needs Druski as a host and commentator. We have hella opinions per usual! We close it out ranking some of the most iconic BET Awards performances of all time, but make it zodiac signs! From Ciara’s jump split (Aries) to Kanye taking us to church (Pisces), we matched every sign to the performance that fits them best. The BET Awards air June 28th. Make it an event. Cuffed 2... Rae’s Birthday, Latto vs. Cardi & Tyler Perry: Black Drama or Black Trauma?

It's Gemini season and we're putting Tyler Perry on trial. This week, it's Rae's birthday and we're celebrating the only way we know how for Gemini season: with gossip, debates, and a little bit of chaos. Nai and Rae kick things off with Comin' in Hot and get into the Cardi B vs. Latto drama. Then it's time for Tyler Perry's Tribunal. The charge: Black Drama or Black Trauma? The jury is in session as C2C revisits some of Tyler Perry's most iconic (and controversial) scenes to determine whether they're meaningful storytelling or a bit too much. From Diary of a Mad Black Woman to For Colored Girls and Why Did I Get Married?, the ladies break down unforgettable moments and deliver their final verdict: Drama with a D or Trauma with a T? Of course, it wouldn't be a birthday episode without a little fun. RaeDay continues with birthday games, a fun "This or That", and so much love for our favorite Gemini. Happy Birthday, Rae!
