BREATHWORK TYPE: Activation (Up-Regulated) INHALE: Mouth - EXHALE: Mouth SCIENCE: This breathing pattern activates your body's natural fight or flight response. Blood redirects from less vital organs like stomach and bladder to the muscles and the brain. Heart rate increases, adrenaline kicks in, blood vessels constrict, pupils dilate and the mind sharpens, leaving you feeling awake, energized and ready to conquer the day.
