Whose Life Are You Paying Attention To?

Whose Life Are You Paying Attention To? It’s easy to become an expert on someone else’s patterns. What they’re thinking. How they might react. Why they keep doing what they do. And sometimes, without realizing it, we can spend so much of our precious attention there that there’s very little left for our own lives. In this episode, I’m talking honestly about something I’m still learning myself: the difference between being aware of the people we love and mentally living inside their experiences. We’ll look at why we do this, what it can cost us, and what changes when we trade blame, judgment, and trying to predict other people for curiosity about ourselves. Because maybe becoming more like ourselves isn’t another huge midlife project. Maybe it begins by noticing the woman whose life we’re actually living—what she feels, what she needs, what matters to her, and how she wants to show up. What might begin growing if we brought some of that attention home? You don't have to figure this season out alone. The Bridge Between Who You've Been and Who You're Becoming

Have you ever tried to believe something new about yourself... only to have your brain immediately reject it? Maybe the problem isn't that you're failing. Maybe you're trying to leap across a canyon when lasting change was always meant to happen one believable step at a time. In this episode, I explore why our brains hold so tightly to the stories we've lived for decades, why "fake it till you make it" often leaves us discouraged, and how real transformation begins—not with forcing ourselves to believe something impossible—but with becoming willing to believe that another story might be possible. We'll talk about the bridge between who you've been and who you're becoming, why God and life so often give us experiences that build the beliefs we're asking for, and how one small act of courage can become the evidence that changes the story you tell about yourself. If you've been wondering whether you're stuck, I hope this conversation reminds you that you're probably not. You may simply be one plank away from your next step. My hope is that this episode doesn't just give you something to think about. I hope it helps you lay one more plank as you continue becoming more like yourself. You don't have to figure this season out alone. What If We've Misunderstood What a Beautiful Life Feels Like?

When we look around at our lives and see so much to be grateful for, why do we sometimes still feel like we're not enjoying them the way we thought we would? In this episode, I explore the quiet guilt so many women carry in midlife when a beautiful life doesn't always feel the way we expected it would. Together, we'll look at how our expectations, grief, changing seasons, faith, and even our definition of joy may shape the way we experience our lives. What if gratitude was never meant to erase our humanity? And what if becoming more like ourselves isn't about feeling happy all the time, but learning to see the quiet beauty that's already growing—even in the middle of the storm? The Midlife Medicine We've Forgotten

What if one of the medicines we've been searching for has been beside us all along? In midlife, many of us spend so much time looking for ways to feel better—better sleep, hormones, nutrition, routines—that we can quietly overlook one of our greatest gifts: one another. Why do certain conversations leave us feeling lighter? Why does connection become harder in this season of life? What is it about another person's presence that can help us feel more like ourselves again? In this episode, I share what I've been noticing in my own life and some of the beautiful ways both science and my faith have shaped the way I think about connection. Because the more I learn, the more convinced I become that we were never meant to do this alone. You don't have to figure this season out alone. Are You Dismissing Yourself?

Have you ever said, "I'm fine," when you really weren't? Or answered, "I don't care," before you've even stopped to ask yourself if you actually do? Many women in midlife find themselves feeling more frustrated, disconnected, or resentful—but what if those feelings aren't just about hormones, stress, or everything on your plate? In this episode, we're exploring a quieter pattern that often goes unnoticed: the ways we slowly begin dismissing ourselves. Together we'll talk about why avoiding a few moments of discomfort with someone else can leave us carrying years of discomfort within ourselves, how this shapes the relationships we have with the people we love, and why rebuilding the relationship with yourself may be one of the greatest gifts of midlife. If you've ever wondered why you don't quite feel like yourself anymore, this conversation might help you understand why—and gently point you toward finding your way back. Your Body: From Project to Partner

For many of us, our body slowly becomes something we manage instead of someone we care for. We measure it. Criticize it. Push it. Compare it. We chase numbers, productivity, and expectations, often without realizing we've started treating our own body like a project instead of a partner. In this deeply personal episode, I share how my own relationship with my body has been changing through midlife—and how years of striving, perfectionism, and self-criticism are giving way to something gentler: curiosity, compassion, and trust. This isn't an episode about giving up on your health or lowering your standards. It's about shifting the why behind how you care for yourself. It's about learning to listen instead of constantly pushing, honoring what your body is carrying, and rebuilding a relationship that may have been neglected for years. If you've ever felt frustrated by a body that doesn't seem to cooperate the way it used to, or if you've quietly wondered, "What's wrong with me?" I hope this conversation reminds you that maybe nothing has gone wrong at all. Maybe your body isn't asking you to fight harder. Maybe it's simply asking you to become its partner. Because becoming more like ourselves may begin the moment we stop asking our bodies to become someone else. You don't have to figure this season out alone. Looking Both Ways

Imagine standing in the middle of a long road. For the first time, you pause long enough to look behind you at the life you've already lived... and then ahead to the road that's still waiting for you. That's what midlife can feel like. It can bring gratitude and grief, joy and disappointment, hope and uncertainty—all at the same time. In this episode, we're exploring why this season of life often invites us to stop and take it all in. We'll talk about the questions that naturally become louder in midlife, why they don't mean something has gone wrong, and how the 50/50 nature of life allows fulfillment and regret, celebration and longing, to exist side by side. Together, we'll consider how this pause in the middle of the road isn't something to fear or rush through, but a gift—an opportunity to reflect on where you've been, who you're becoming, and how you want to walk the road ahead with greater intention. You don't have to figure this season out alone. I'm Not in a Hurry: Choosing the Pace of Your Own Life

I'm Not in a Hurry Have you ever noticed how often your mind is rushing, even when your body isn't? The text message that feels like it needs an immediate response. The to-do list that never seems to end. The pressure to get through your day so you can finally relax—only to realize you've rushed through the very moments you wanted to enjoy. In this episode, I explore what I've recently discovered about living at a pace that wasn't really mine. We talk about the difference between being busy and being hurried, why midlife and perimenopause can make urgency feel louder, and how perfectionism, guilt, comparison, and a lack of trust can quietly shape the way we move through our days. This isn't about doing less or ignoring the people who matter. It's about reclaiming your pace, becoming more present, and learning that not everything deserves your urgency. If you've been feeling stretched thin, constantly behind, or like you're rushing through your own life, I hope this conversation offers you permission to pause, breathe, and remember that you don't have to earn your rest by rushing. Maybe becoming more like yourself begins with one simple sentence: "I'm not in a hurry." You don't have to figure this season out alone.
