It’s a busy one on The Debrief as Mark Chapman is joined by Dion Dublin and Jobi McAnuff as they react to an action packed Monday night which includes news of the FA Cup fourth round draw, Xabi Alonso leaving Real Madrid and Liverpool beating Barnsley. They start at Macclesfield, after the news that they will host Premier League side Brentford, who are 5th in the table, in the fourth-round of the FA Cup - that’s one of six ties with a Premier League club going away to lower league opposition. Macclesfield defender Sam Heathcote joins the pod after he was back working as a PE Teacher on Monday and gives an insight into a crazy few days for the club. After 20mins of praising Manchester City and wondering why winning 4 in a row is not garnering much fawning interest, Finally, and I mean finally someone said “Maybe it’s because they have 115 cheating and financial fraud charges pending, And other fans are all distracted by the massive Elephant in the room” Finally! The only podcast to even mention this obvious taint to the best League in the worlds beautiful game. Any Corporation that pays for TV rights needs to realise that their product is vastly weakened by the delaying and posturing of the accused. In America the College USC had to return all their NCAA titles for cheating in the last decade, and players personal trophies So, Does any of this mean anything at all ? until Manchester City are called to task come to court the league can only continue along with the very dark cloud they cast. As mentioned previously Football is tainted until then sadly, And I am sure it has to weigh on football purist (Pep I am looking at you) shoulders every Saturday. Jb.

I have no issues at all with the amazing podcasts from the football daily to the Monday night club but it’s a load of rubbish the rip off ad free because I paid the fee and it’s still full of adverts so it’s a complete rip off. No surprise as it’s the BBS and everything they do is a rip off or lies. WHAT A COMPLETE JOKE

This feed was at its best when it was the radio content packaged up to be consumed via podcast. It’s slowly felt like they’ve tailored it more and more into podcast form - and lost what made it different than podcasts. MNC is still there and is the jewel. Euro Leagues is enjoyable. Have enjoyed Commentators’ View but come on Saturday morn and there’s no postgame content from the Friday match like there was for so long here.
