    Beyond Creation to the Source - #10319

    Just when you think little kids are pretty much all about their toys, TV, and what’s to eat, they amaze you again. Our daughter had one of those times when our grandson was puttering around the house in his jammies one early morning, and he wandered over to an East window. He stared out at the brightening early morning sky for a few moments and then he suddenly launched a question Mommy’s way, “Mommy, who painted the sky?” Before his mother could answer, our grandson answered his own question, “Jesus did.” I'm Ron Hutchcraft and I want to have A Word With You today about “Beyond Creation to the Source.” That little guy saw something in the beauty of creation that morning that many grownup people tragically miss: that there’s someone behind the beauty, and He is the point of it all! I mean, a two-year-old seemed to understand, in his own way, what many of us miss if we just admire the painting. The point is to know the Painter! If you consider yourself a spiritual seeker, it’s important to realize that God has, throughout your life and even now, been putting life experiences and life scenery in front of you for one reason. To get your attention, so you would give yourself to the One who does such awesome things. But so far, maybe you’ve missed Him. In our word for today from the Word of God in Romans 1, beginning with verse 19, God says of us: “What may be known about God is plain to them, because God has made it plain to them. For since the creation of the world, God’s invisible qualities - His eternal power and divine nature - have been clearly seen, being understood from what has been made, so that men are without excuse.” God says here, “After all the ways I’ve displayed My greatness and My power to you, you have no excuse for not having a personal relationship with Me.” He then spells out the tragic mistake that so many of us have made without ever realizing it: “They exchanged the glory of the immortal God for a lie, and worshiped and served created things rather than the Creator.” We’ve gotten hung up on what He made for us and missed Him. You’ve had a number of God-sightings in your life, even if you don’t realize it or acknowledge it. You got a glimpse of His power and love in the birth of a baby, in a time your life was spared, in encountering the amazing engineering of the human body, in the majesty of the ocean that you felt, the mountains, the skies, or some scenic rush you felt. You brushed close to your Creator when you were thinking about death and that it's inevitable; when you looked at the way a follower of Jesus lived or died, or in the question or insight of a little child. Over and over, your Creator has been trying to get your attention, trying to direct you to the one way you can have a love relationship with Him that you were made for. The Bible says, “Christ died for sins…to bring you to God” (1 Peter 3:18). The ultimate reach of God for you was the sending of His one and only Son to love you enough to die for the sin that has been the wall between you and Him. You may say, “Well, I believe in God.” The Bible says, “Even the demons believe (in God) and shudder” (James 2:19). No, the issue isn’t believing in God - it’s belonging to God. He’s the belonging you’ve been looking for your whole life. Here’s how it begins according to the Bible: “To all who received (Jesus)…He gave the right to become children of God” (John 1:12). Imagine, born into God’s family, loved and protected by Him forever. That’s the possibility God’s putting in front of you today. Your personal love relationship with Him begins when you tell Jesus that you're putting your total trust in Him to forgive your sin and to get you to Heaven when you die. He’s the only one with the power to walk out of His grave and He can deliver eternal life to your soul. Tell Him today, "Jesus, I’m Yours.” I think our website might help you to that point.     Gospel Without Detours - #10318

    Our friends Marv and Annie were with us at a convention in Chicago. They’re from Denver; I was in my hometown. Annie’s doctor had let her make the trip to Chicago even though she was eight months pregnant. Well, we had a reception our first night at the convention downtown. I jokingly told her, “Hey, if the baby decides to come tonight, just call our room. This is my city, girl. I’ll take care of everything!” Yeah, well, it didn’t turn out to be a joke. The call came in the middle of the night, and minutes later we had a lady in hard labor in my back seat. Oh, my goodness! I thought we’d have time to get out to our obstetrician in the suburbs. Not a chance! I had no idea where downtown hospitals were. I never needed one before. Oh, boy! I finally found one - a veterans’ hospital. No maternity ward! Well, eventually I found a hospital with great facilities - just in time. Today we all laugh about it, but it’s certainly not one of my proudest moments. I’m Ron Hutchcraft and I want to have A Word With You today about “Gospel Without Detours.” I almost messed up the beginning of a new life - all because I went in the wrong direction. That’s easy to do with what the Bible calls being “born again.” If you belong to Jesus, I’ve got to believe you know folks who don’t, and that you want them to be in heaven with you. That can only happen if they’re born into God’s family by putting their trust in Jesus Christ and what He did on the cross for them. But that rebirth can be aborted if you go the wrong direction in sharing Christ with someone. See, there’s a detour on the road to Jesus and you’ve got to avoid that detour at all costs. I call it the trap - one that is so easy to fall into when you’re having a spiritual conversation. When Jesus was talking with the Samaritan woman at the well, she tried to deflect Jesus’ claim on her life by using the trap. In John 4, beginning with verse 20, she tries to get Jesus to start down that deadly detour. Here’s what it is - talking religion. She said, “Our fathers worshiped on this mountain, but you Jews claim that the place where we must worship is in Jerusalem.” In other words, “Jesus, the issue is we have different religions. Yours is good for you; mine is good for me.” Sound familiar? Jesus won’t go there. In verse 24, He says, “God is a spirit, and His worshipers must worship in spirit and in truth.” In other words, “This isn’t about what religion you are, Ma’am. It’s about your relationship with God.” Then Jesus introduces Himself as the looked-for Messiah. Jesus makes Himself the issue, and He still is today. There’s just too much at stake for you to allow yourself to fall into the trap of talking religion with someone who needs Jesus. The issue really has nothing to do with religion. It’s whether or not you’ve had your sins forgiven so you can have a relationship with God. It’s really all about Jesus and all about his cross. Paul said that in 1 Corinthians 2:2 when he said, “I resolved to know nothing while I was with you except Jesus Christ and Him crucified.” It’s not about your religion. It’s not about your religious rules. It’s not about your rituals. It’s not about Christianity. It’s not about Christians. It’s not about attacking their lifestyle. It’s all about Jesus. So stick to Jesus. Keep bringing it back to Jesus; bring them back to His cross. Your mission is clear. To take a person that you care about by the hand and lead them up Skull Hill to the foot of an old rugged cross, and point to the Son of God dying for them, and say, “Man, this is how much He loves you.” Any other direction is the wrong direction - one that leads away from the Jesus that they need. So, take them straight to Jesus.

    Finally Clean - #10317

    My wife and I had been on the road for quite a while, and company was coming as soon as we got home. Frankly, with the whirlwind that preceded our departure, there was some unfinished work that we left behind at home. And, thankfully, a friend came over while we were gone and pitched in. One job my wife had asked her to tackle was to get some stubborn food and melted wax spots out of our nice red tablecloth. Well, one of the first things we noticed when we walked in the door after our trip was that tablecloth spread out on the dining room table, looking as good as new. And it had a handwritten note on it. It simply said: “I’m clean. I’ve been washed, and all my dirty spots came out.” Pretty amazing - a note from a tablecloth. That could only happen at our house. I'm Ron Hutchcraft and I want to have A Word With You today about “Finally Clean.” Not long after I read that note on the tablecloth, I thought to myself, “Ron, you should have a note like that on you.” Because those words describe what Jesus Christ did for me; something no religion could have ever done. “I’m clean. I’ve been washed, and all my dirty spots came out.” You know, actually, that’s the testimony of every person who has ever trusted Jesus to forgive their sins, based on what He did on the cross for them. And you know, it could describe you before this day is over. In 2 Kings 5, beginning with verse 10, our word for today from the Word of God, God tells the true story of a man who is a revealing example of how this dirty-to-clean miracle works. Naaman is a Syrian military leader who, for all his fame and success, can’t do a thing about the terminal leprosy he suddenly developed. Hearing about Elisha, God’s prophet, Naaman travels to Israel with his entourage to try to find a cure. He tries to buy the cure with the big money he brings with him, and the man of God won’t touch the money. Then, speaking through His prophet, God tells Naaman, “Go, wash yourself seven times in the Jordan, and your flesh will be restored and you will be cleansed.” Naaman is not about to humble himself and bathe in the muddy Jordan River. He tells his servants he should just go home and do it his way. But they urge him to give this strange prescription a try, and here’s the outcome: “So he went down and dipped himself in the Jordan seven times, as the man of God had told him, and his flesh was restored and became clean like that of a young boy.” Wow! Well, here’s the point: if you'll go to the place where God says you can be cured of your terminal sin-cancer and do what He says, He'll make you clean, He'll make you new. You can’t buy His forgiveness by giving Him money. You can’t earn His forgiveness by doing great things. You can only receive His forgiveness by going, in your heart, to Jesus’ cross and throwing yourself on His mercy and His love. He’s the only One who can make you clean because He’s the only One who could or would pay the death penalty for all your sin. So, this can be the day you can bring to Jesus all those mistakes, all the wreckage, the regrets of a lifetime, so you can be clean inside for the first time in your life. Doesn't that sound good? He’s waiting to hear from you. You can talk to Him something like this: “Jesus, You died on that cross to pay for my sin, and you know, I have never really grabbed you in total trust to be my Rescuer from my sin. But beginning today, Jesus, I’m pinning all my hopes on You, because I know you're alive. Starting today, Jesus, I'm yours.” You know, if you want that new beginning that only Jesus can give you, I urge you to go to our website and check out the information there from the Bible about how to know you have begun a relationship with Jesus and you belong to Him.     Women Fighting for What They Love - #10316

    It was a big deal when the Defense Department approved women being in combat roles. And however you feel about that, I’ll tell you this, women being in combat might be new for the military, but they’re not new at fighting a good fight. I’m Ron Hutchcraft and I want to have A Word With You today about “Women Fighting for What They Love.” I’ve been there when my wife brought a new life into the world. Believe me, she was a warrior. I’ve been close by when our daughter and daughters-in-law birthed our grandchildren. A battle they fought and won, big-time. I’ve joked that if men had to have the babies, the human race would probably be extinct in a generation. I know women who refuse to cave in to the “everybody’s doing it” pressure to give up one of their greatest treasures – their virginity. They insist – against the tide – that they will keep sex special for the man they will commit their life to. In many cases, that’s a lonely stand – one that merits a moral Medal of Honor. Some will call them weird. I say they’re rare – and, like collectibles, the less there are of them, the more valuable they become. There are the women warriors who fight for their marriage when others would have given up. They believe, as God does, that marriage is for life – while their world bombards them with the notion that marriage is until it gets hard. I just checked my Bible. It still says, “They are no longer two, but one. Therefore what God has joined together, let man not separate” (Mark 10:8-9). No matter what the latest opinion poll says, it’s nice to know you’ve got God on your side. Can raising a whole and healthy child in this culture be considered anything less than a battle? Today our kids are navigating a spiritual minefield, and it’s littered with moral IEDs that can blow up a life. But between many a child and those destructors stands a mom who’s fighting for them. Countering the lies of a deceived and deceiving culture with winsome truth about what’s really right and what really matters. Lovingly listening as a son or daughter grapples with the inconsistency between the lies they hear at school and the truth they hear at home. This woman winsomely sows – and models day and night – God’s ways from the Bible. Because it’s “a lamp to my feet and a light for my path” the Bible says (Psalm 119:105). The child who makes God’s ways their way can say with the psalmist, “I run in the path of Your commands.” Oh wait, you mean all bound by rules, right? Hardly. It goes on to say, “For You have set my heart free” (Psalm 119:32). And though the battle that rages for a child’s life can be scary, the medal-deserving mom doesn’t succumb to that paralysis of fear. She knows “God did not give us a spirit of fear, but of power and love and a sound mind” (2 Timothy 1:7). She refuses to just play defense, hoping she’ll raise a “survivor.” She plays offense, determined to raise a game-changer. The ultimate woman warrior is not the one with the M-16 and the body armor. She knows the ultimate weapon for winning the battle for a life. She’s a woman, on her knees, crying out to her all-powerful God for someone she’s fighting for. Here’s our word for today from the Word of God, 2 Chronicles 20:15, “the battle is not yours, but God’s.” This woman knows that prayer unleashes God’s power to, in the Bible’s words, “demolish strongholds,” to “destroy the Devil’s work,” to “remove a heart of stone” and “give you a new heart” (2 Corinthians 10:4; 1 John 3:8; Ezekiel 36:26). She releases the ones she loves to the One who loves them so much more. Yes, women have been fighting life’s most decisive battles for a long time. And those who have embraced Jesus as the great love of their life fight their battles with His death-reversing, resurrection power on their side. So if you know one of these women, honor her. Thank her. Treasure her. And pray for her. She, in the words of Scripture, “fights the Lord’s battles” (1 Samuel 25:28).

    No Do-Overs - #10315

    We attended a concert, only to learn that it was being taped for later use as a TV program. The host introduced two other men who were going to sing with him, the accompaniment track started up, and they launched into the song; cameras rolling. But they weren’t all singing the same song, and that’s a problem! The host stopped the song, looked up at the control booth, and said, “Guys, let’s start that one over.” Guess what? You’re not going to see that on TV. Then he said to the audience, “Good thing this is taped, not live, huh?” He was right. I’ve done my share of live radio, and I want you to know, live is unforgiving. You blow it, you blew it! I'm Ron Hutchcraft and I want to have A Word With You today about “No Do-Overs.” Too bad our lives aren’t taped, huh? We could go back and do it over and get it right this time. But we’re all doing a live performance. If you blow it, you blew it. We can’t take those words back, no matter how much they hurt someone we love. We can’t undo what we did sexually, or in anger, or we can’t take back the lies we told, we can’t undo the wounds we’ve left, the people we’ve hurt. We said it, we did it, and there’s no rewinding the tape to do it over. Actually, our live performance is being recorded - by God. Every mistake, every sin goes into, what they used to call in school, your “permanent record,” except it doesn’t have to be permanent. All the record of all your sins can be destroyed forever. If they’re not, well you have no chance with God. You have no chance of ever seeing heaven, because you can't bring your sin in there. But there is incredible good news for all of us in our word for today from the Word of God. Listen to Acts 10:43. It's talking about Jesus Christ, and it says, “Everyone who believes in Him receives forgiveness of sins through His name.” Now, there's no do-over, but there is the possibility of having every sin you’ve ever committed erased from God’s records forever because of what Jesus did. The Bible talks about what He did when it says, “Without the shedding of blood, there is no forgiveness” (Hebrews 9:22). The ancient Jews understood that. They sacrificed lambs to pay, as their substitute, the death penalty for breaking God’s laws. All the wrong things we’ve done carry an eternal death penalty. The Bible calls it hell. They cannot be erased. Our damning personal record cannot be removed unless that penalty is paid, and someone has to die for your sins to be paid for. And someone did - the only One who could. The only One who didn’t have any sin of His own to pay for - Jesus. The Bible actually says Jesus came to “do away with sin by the sacrifice of Himself” (Hebrews 9:26). When He was dying on that cross, He was loving you enough to do your hell for you. You have no hope of being clean inside, no hope of heaven without being forgiven for all your sin. And there’s no forgiveness unless you give yourself to Jesus, because He's the One whose blood was shed to pay for those sins. Are you ready to be forgiven? Are you ready to be clean? Then you're ready to put your trust in Jesus to be your personal Savior from your personal sins. Right where you are, tell Him. Tell Him you’re giving yourself to Him. As soon as you can, get to a place alone and say, “Jesus, I deserve the penalty for taking my life out of God’s hands and running it myself. But thank You for paying that death penalty because You love me. Beginning today, I turn my back on the junk of my life, and I place my arms totally around You as my only hope.” I'd love to help you nail that down and be sure you belong to Him.     A Real God Wants the Real You - #10314

    They often give you one when you check into some sprawling motel complex, or a big theme park, or a large convention facility. It’s a map of the place. And for the directionally challenged like me, there’s one important thing I look for on that map. It’s that “X” and those very helpful words, “You are here.” See, you’re not helping me very much by just giving me a drawing of where everything is. In order for me to use that to get where I want to go, I need that one fundamental piece of information - where am I right now? I’m Ron Hutchcraft and I want to have A Word With You today about “A Real God Wants the Real You.” It is important to know exactly where you are when you’re trying to get to a destination, and when you’re trying to get to God. In fact, the failure to talk to God about where you really are may explain why He seems a little farther away than He once did - a little less real than He once did. Hebrews 4:16 is God’s powerful invitation to come boldly to His “throne of grace, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help us in our time of need.” The verses that precede this promise of God’s total availability have to do with our total honesty. Hebrews 4 beginning in verse 12 is our word for today from the Word of God, and it begins by saying that God’s Word “is sharper than any double-edged sword.” In other words it opens up our soul surgically and exposes what’s really inside. Verse 13 goes on to say, “Nothing in all creation is hidden from God’s sight. Everything is uncovered and laid bare before the eyes of Him to whom we must give account.” So you might as well come to God totally unmasked, because there’s nothing He doesn’t know about you. If you talk to Him about how you’re honestly feeling, He’s not going to say, “Oh, you’re kidding! Really? I didn't know that!” No, it’s understandable why you may not tell other people how you’re really feeling; they might think less of you. But God already knows, and there’s nothing you can do to make God love you more or love you less. In fact, these words go on to remind us that “We do not have a high priest who is unable to sympathize with our weaknesses, but we have one who has been tempted in every way, just as we are - yet without sin. Let us then approach the throne of grace with confidence.” Why? Because God already knows all about us, and because we are coming to the Father through a Savior who has felt all the feelings of being human. You might say, “Well, God already knows, why do I need to tell Him?” So you can open up that part of your heart and your life to His cleansing, His restoring, and His healing. He only goes where He’s invited. Maybe you’ve been saying, “Well, God doesn’t seem real to me right now.” Maybe He’s saying the same thing to you; you’re coming to Him all religious, all together, and all dressed up. If God doesn’t seem real to you, maybe it’s because you aren’t being real with Him. You aren’t starting where you really are. You’re coming as you think you’re supposed to be. Tell it all to your Lord? Tell Him where you’re hurting, tell Him where you’re afraid, tell Him where you feel like giving up, where you’re angry, where you can’t forgive, where you can’t fight anymore, where you’re desperate for love. Tell Him when you’re spiritually flat. See, He already knows, but He’s waiting for you to open up that part of you so He can bring in His mercy and His grace and His love. Your spiritual drifting, your distance from God, your unnecessary pain may be because you’ve been coming to God without the real you. You need to get your map out and mark where you are right now. Then your Lord will take you from there to where you need to be. When Jesus says, “If you will open the door, I will come in,” He invites us to come just as we are with a lifetime of sin and doubt that He died to pay for on a cross, and then prove that He could give us eternal life by walking out of His grave under His own power.     The Power of One Changed Life - #10313

    Sometimes these commercials crack me up. You know, the weight loss commercials, you’ve got this eating program, and this movie star type lady comes up and says, “I lost 50 pounds. You could look like me.” I don’t want to look like her. Oh, and then they’ve got the guy’s version of it. Yeah. Oh, and then the pharmaceutical commercials - all the drugs. Yeah. And you see these happy people coasting through life, jogging, out running, biking, and then the last two-thirds of the commercial come along and tell you of the many ways you might die by taking that drug. But the point is, they tell you all these great things that will happen to you if you buy their product. I’m Ron Hutchcraft, and I want to have A Word With You today about “The Power of One Changed Life.” Look, let’s face it, advertisers know how to sell a product: diet plan, exercise equipment, medication. Have someone who’s living proof of their product’s effectiveness tell their story. For two thousand years, that’s what has motivated people to pursue the most important thing in life - a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. It’s what will interest the people you know in Jesus, if you’ll tell them your story. Some call it their “testimony.” I call it your personal hope story - the story only you can tell; the story of what Jesus Christ has done in your life. There’s a great template for that story in our word for today from the Word of God in John 9:25. Jesus has healed a man who had been blind from birth. But the enemies of Jesus are trying to get the man to acknowledge that Jesus was a sinner because He healed on the Sabbath. (Talk about missing the point!) I love this guy’s reply: “Whether he is a sinner or not, I don’t know. One thing I do know. I was blind but now I see!” He’s not going to get entangled in their religious questions. He just tells them the difference Jesus has made, and who can argue about that? They can’t say you weren’t blind. They can’t say you can’t see. His hope story is inarguable. That’s what you need to tell the folks in your world--the difference Jesus has made. They’re not all that interested in our theology and our beliefs. They want to know, “What difference does Jesus make? What does He do in your life?” And your life is the answer to that right in front of them if you’ll tell your story. You should take a little time and think through your Hope-story; “once I was _____ (fill in the blank) but now I _____ (fill in the blank).” There you go! That’s your story. Take a piece of paper and make three sections: “B. C.” - who I was before Jesus began running my life. Then “The Turning Point” - how I began my relationship with Jesus; and that third part, “A. D.” - the difference Jesus has made and He is making this very day. Maybe you say, “Oh, I don’t have a testimony. I was pre-natally nice.” Well, you don’t have a dramatic turn-around to tell about, but does that mean Jesus isn’t making any difference in your life? Your assignment is to put these words at the top of a piece of paper, “If it weren’t for Jesus…” Start writing the ways that your life would be different if there was no Jesus: how you handle your lonely times, your hurting times, your stressful times. How would you be different as a single person, a married person, a parent, a boss, or a friend if there were no Jesus? People just don’t want to know about how you got started with Jesus. They want to know what difference He makes in your everyday life. You’ve got many testimonies, describing the difference Jesus makes in the parts of your life that might matter to the person you’re with. It’s your personal hope story that opens the door for you to then explain the Good News about Jesus, about His death for all the wrong things we’ve done, the way He’s torn down the wall between us and the God we need so much. Your story then includes His story, which changed your story that could change their story forever. You’ve got a story that’s all yours that only you can tell. It’s ultimately not a story about you; it’s about the man who is making your life what it could have never been without Him. It’s a story that could help someone you know be in heaven with you forever!

    Building on Ground That's Going Down - #10312

    My first reaction: "No way." Then, "It's true...and it's awful." A man asleep in the middle of the night. Suddenly, what has been determined to be an approximately 60-foot sinkhole opens up beneath the house and literally sucks the man, the bed, and the bedroom in with it. The home has since been demolished, and the next door neighbors were given 30 minutes to grab what they could and evacuate. There was even speculation that the owners of the other two homes would never return. Sinkholes seem to be a lot more common than we realize. I mean, certain soil-rock-and-moisture combinations apparently can erode over time and then suddenly collapse beneath you. There's ground that looks like it's safe to build on, but one day it just caves in under you. I'm Ron Hutchcraft and I want to have A Word With You today about "Building on Ground That's Going Down." There's a feeling too many of us know all too well. "Hey, I thought this would support me. It just collapsed." Beginning in the fall of 2008, so many friends of mine saw their financial security suddenly disappear into a sinkhole as the ground just shifted overnight. A Wall Street veteran told me, "You know, if you had asked any of us Christian guys here what we were trusting in, we would have said, 'Well, we’re trusting In the Lord, of course.' Until we suddenly lost what we were really trusting in." As they say on the news, sinkholes are all over the place. The person who once said, "Til death do us part" is suddenly gone. The children you lived for left the nest empty. The church or organization you did so much for let you down. The company you served for so long doesn't need you anymore. The friends you gave so much for moved on without you. The plans you made vanished with one visit to a doctor's office. The people you lived to please turned their backs on you. So many sinkholes! Ground you build on that you can't depend on. Yesterday's dream; now today's nightmare. The family who lost their home and their loved one in that sinkhole did find one consolation – the family Bible the demolition crew managed to retrieve. One family member stood in front of the rubble, just hugging that Bible for all she was worth. Well, I’ll tell you, that's the only ground I know that will never cave in beneath you. It's what Martin Luther was counting on when he stood against the mightiest religious forces of his day and insisted knowing God was by faith alone. As all other ground around him was collapsing, he stood firm on a Biblical bedrock that is our word for today from the Word of God. Listen, "Your Word, O Lord, is eternal; it stands firm in the heavens" (Psalm 119:89). Firm in the heavens. Truth you can stake your life on; a foundation that can never be shaken. It's where Paul told Timothy to plant his feet when it seems as if everyone - including God's people - are adrift. "But as for you," he said, "continue in what you have learned...you have known the Holy Scriptures...All Scripture is God-breathed" (2 Timothy 3:14-16). Sometimes, it means standing with a holy defiance of the culture, the crowd, the consensus, both feet firmly planted on God's Word. "God has spoken. That settles it." Jesus told about two men - one whose house "collapsed" when the torrent came, and one whose house "could not be shaken." The first one, he says, built on "ground without a foundation." The other "dug down deep and laid the foundation on rock." He said the sinkable man "hears My words and does not put them into practice." The unsinkable man, he said, "hears My words and puts them into practice" (Luke 6:47-49). So sitting in church just soaking up Christian beliefs is not enough to sustain you when your world's collapsing. Compartmentalized faith is collapsible faith. You have to do God's Word, not just know God's Word. King David posed this question for a sinkhole moment: "When the foundations are being destroyed, what can the righteous do?" That’s a good question. Here's the answer: "The Lord is in His holy temple; the Lord is on His heavenly throne" (Psalm 11:3-4). When your world caves in, God’s Throne hasn't moved. His Word is unchanged, and your God still reigns.
