Customer Reviews
Awesome show!
I’m a first responder that’s an everyday listener. Love the show and all the work you guys put in. Love the different point of views that are presented. Great staff on the show and always look forward to the content and banter. Only recommendation is for some of us in the newer listening group, can we have a segment explaining the different sound bites used in between segments(not including the sherm sound, no explanation needed there). Keep it up 10/10. Rest up that hammy Salk!
Better Takes Please
Let’s hear some better takes Mike Salk: Instead of insisting you are right about 10-15 strikeouts a game by the Mariners grossly incompetent offense being something you can “live with” (no you can’t), I ask you why, even with a historically great and a World Series worthy pitching staff, the Mariners just will not pull the trigger on the right and necessary free agents or trades that will more CERTAINLY make them good enough offensively to win. They bring in guys they’ve “had their eye on for years” but only after they are passed their true prime. Other than Castillo (A+), the trades and signings the last couple of years have been mediocre at best despite the best sustained potential World Series window in franchise history. This is ownership and baseball operations short and long term being too conservative when it really counts rather than intelligently aggressive. Fact. At what point do we question whether Servais (who’s decent, but not great) is really the guy that gets you to a title. He’s a guy that tends towards explanations and excuses, doesn’t drive sense of urgency in team and maintain accountability. Similar to what eventually and correctly drove change in Seahawks, a sustained complacency with no real definitive change in outcome. At what point is Julio (while I absolutely love him) just flatout letting this team down with literally no production all year. He’s struggled out of the gates every year, but this has gone on way longer and it’s a poor offensive standard from your best player that justifies non-production with the whole lineup (only Cal and Josh producing stably). What solutions exist other than shrugging your shoulders saying “thats baseball”. The pitchers aren’t justifying that—even those that started slow worked hard and got it right because they just had to. Julio is their best everyday player—and I’m sorry, he has to. If he doesn’t, he may ultimately derail the great potential of this season.
Hawks: Do you see Mike Macdonald and the new coaching staff making the Seahawks better by getting more out of an already talented (and young) roster and Seahawks winning 10 games this year, making the playoffs (wildcard). I do.
Marriage?
Can’t live with them, can’t live without them. I love Salk, I hate Salk. It’s like we’re a married couple, except he’s already married to Brock. It’s one of life’s greatest mysteries why I love this show so much. Keep up the awfully amazing work gentleman (and Maura)
