As a longtime podcast listener who loves both comedy and history, I’m honestly embarrassed that I’ve only just discovered The Dollop. I absolutely love it.
I was practically peeing my pants during the Ronald Reagan episode—and at the same time, I was genuinely fascinated by how much I learned about his early years. The Cubs broadcasting, the astrology, and then discovering how astrology later played a role in his presidency?! WHAT.
And Spencer Tracy! 😂
I also had no idea just how much of a womanizer Reagan was, or how skillfully he manipulated the Hollywood system to benefit himself. By the end I was basically thinking, “What a complete jerk and narcissist,” while simultaneously being completely fascinated by the history.
It’s the perfect combination of hilarious and genuinely educational. I’m officially hooked and now wondering what other gems I’ve been missing all these years.
