The Cookbook Baker: Episode 3 Emergency Brownies

Sometimes you need chocolate and sometimes you need brownies. Welcome to episode 3 of The Cookbook Baker. I'm your host, Cat Noda and this week I’m baking Nigella Lawson‘s Emergency Brownies. It is a rich fudgy chocolate treat designed to satisfy those sudden can’t wait cravings for a brownie while making a small amount! Join me as I talk about my experience in the kitchen as I created Nigella's recipe. I hope if you make the brownie, you will share with me in the comments! Most importantly, find out whether these little brownies really are the brownie emergency solution. We all know life is better with a little chocolate and a good recipe. Thanks for listening to The Cookbook Baker. Happy baking.

The Cookbook Baker: Episode 2 Buckeye Brownies

Welcome Bake to my weekly podcast! Our brownie month continues. This week, I baked Tieghand Gerard's Buckeye Brownies. I will share how they turned out in my kitchen and look back at last week's bake of Gluten Free Brownies from Kristin Cavallari. I will talk about the great butter battle between Christopher Kimball and Youth Ottolenghi (sorry for the mispronunciation). Are you team salted or team unsalted butter? I will talk about cups versus gram measurements in baking. I encourage you to purchase a scale and start weighing your ingredients for recipe accuracy! Finally how does the recipe go? Is it consistent and does the result match the picture in the cookbook? Grab a cup of coffee and join my little cookbook club! I hope you enjoy listening, maybe bake along, comment and share my podcast, and find value in my spiritual practice: BAKING!
