Heidelcast

I was introduced to the Heidelcast during a several-years span of languishing under legal, broad evangelical preaching. I crawled into a Reformed congregation (although, as a Calvinist I thought I was Reformed already), sat in the back row, and would flee before the benediction. But the Gospel mystery of sanctification was understood by this blessed pastor and, little by little, the shackles loosened and I learned my only comfort in life and death. At some point along the way, he mentioned the Heidelblog, and I was a card carrying confessionally Reformed Christian (and member of a Reformed congregation) within 6 months of voraciously consuming “I will be a God to you and your children after you,” and “God’s Holy Law.” THANK YOU for all of the work you (and the Super Friends) do! Also, I miss the sound bite “What kind of question is that, you dummy!” Can we get one of those real quick?

I am a Reformedish Baptist pastor and have been listening for years now every Sunday before I go to church. I enjoy the Superfriends especially but listen to many other episodes and use the Heidelblog as a resource too. Though Baptists like me are the butt of many jokes and objections, I have been greatly helped by the Reformed discussion especially on ecclesiology. And yes, I am a Baptist still. Thank you, Dr. Clark.

A highly edifying podcast on the Reformed Faith, theology, history and many others. Scott is very knowledgeable, not to mention hilarious! I would highly recommend this podcast to anyone.

I’ve been listening long enough that I suppose I wrongly assumed I already wrote a review for this podcast. It appears I have not, until now. What can I say? It’s a great show, though it may take a few episodes to get used to the style (unless you still listen to radio, grandpa). I always look forward to a new episode popping up, so that’s a good sign. I enjoy the variety of episode formats and range of topics, as well as guests and the additional hosts of the Superfriends. A+, five stars, all that stuff. Thanks for your work!
