Frank Edward Nora’s rambling narration is at once surreal, ephemeral and familiar. Like a warm bowl of stew on a brisk, rainy day, The Overnightscape nourishes and restores us. Dreams and road trips and malls and snacks and cigars and… steel drum Dixieland rag time music? A old-timey radio show in the purest sense, yes. But, one that kisses the future and winks at the past with a longing nostalgia. I stared listening in 2006, or thereabouts. I’ve listened for hundreds of hours. Thousands even. Not a minute do I regret.
