The best

I’ve been listening to The Secret History Of Hollywood for a couple years now and just discovered this series. I drive an hour to work each morning and this morning I was laughing out loud! He is hilarious and it’s great catching up on all the old movies

Best podcast ever for fans of classic films

Adam Roche puts together a first-class podcast on the Golden Age of Hollywood. Funny and heartfelt - each episode highlights films you may have not heard of, and also includes vintage radio versions of classic fims, usually performed by the original film stars. Check out his other podcast for a deeper dive: Secret History of Hollywood.

How can you praise perfection?!

Its very hard to describe how soooo funny this is. I need to figure out how to lure Simon away from his family and move to the US to be with me. Not likely but a girl can dream.

I am especially happy to be turned on to ok.ru. When I found it I was up all night, I was in Richard Barthelmass heaven (swoon).

I’m now tracking down Douglas Fairbanks Jr movies (swoon). Not just a pretty face (& boy was he!) I really liked his pre-code mov.

♥️♥️♥️🤷‍♀️♥️💥♥️
As (I hated high school), I watched a lot of The Midnight Movie, which, invariably, I needed to stay home ‘sick’. Million Dollar Movies in the afternoon. As early as the first grade I was an avid scary movie devotee, who can forget ‘From Hell It Came’, ‘I know What You Did’, The Blob, The Touch of Evil, The Haunting, Dementia 13, and the legendary, What Ever Became of Baby Jane. I watched A LOT of movies!

After awhile I started reading movie credits. Leads and character actors (Anthony Zerbe, LQ Jones, James Hong, Aline MacMohn, Albert Salmi, Beverly Garland, Marie Windsor, Linda Darnell, Glenda Farrell, Charles Lane, Colleen Gray, Charles Halton), figured out Roman numerals, eventually Directors and producers.
