    Topics covered in this session: [0:00] Dileepji comments on the significance of the current month of Shravana, the special events scheduled during this time, and how to best take advantage of the energy. He also welcomes first-time attendees of the Antioch Center’s Sunday morning group meditation. [3:27] Dileepji offers a preview of this September’s Spirituality and Psychology Series Workshop (“Worthiness: Psychological and Spiritual Truths”). Among other things, this workshop will help attendees understand the root of self-doubt and how to begin the journey toward confidence in one’s ability to succeed. [9:33] A student asks about prana (life force energy) -- specifically, what makes it rise when he listens to devotional chanting, and what is its role in spiritual development. In the course of their answer, Shri Anandi Ma and Dileepji explain that the biggest block to the flow of prana is the thought, “I am not worthy.” [15:48] How to be a confident leader in the world and remain humble.     Topics covered in this session: • The resurrection of Christ from a yogic perspective. • A reminder of how best to respond to the current world situation. • Thoughts on how shaktipat initiation profoundly accelerates the evolution of one’s soul. • The potency of spiritual practice versus worldly acts in effecting change. Some terms used in this session: Adharma: Behavior that is not in harmony with cosmic law. Unethical, unjust, immoral behavior. Dharma: Living in harmony with cosmic law; righteous living. Kundalini: The primordial energy in the human body that, when awakened, creates the conditions for spiritual progress and Self-realization. Niyamas: Positive duties necessary for achieving self-realization; these include purity, contentment, self-discipline, charity. Prana: Energy. The “raw material” of Shakti. Samskaras: Patterns of mind or behavior, habits formed as a result of past karma (action). The personality mask with which the ego usually identifies itself is composed of samskaras. Shakti: Power. The active aspect of the Divine. Shaktipat: The transfer of Divine energy from a perfected guru to his disciple for the purpose of awakening the disciple’s Kundalini.
