Indigenous communities are among the poorest in the U.S. This is one of many persistent symptoms of the colonial relationship imposed by force upon Indigenous peoples. As famed historian Roxanne Dunbar-Ortiz says, “Neither arcane colonial laws nor the historical trauma of genocide simply disappear with time and certainly not when conditions of life and consciousness perpetuate them.” From the earliest days of colonial settlement, a theme of eliminating Indians in the name of expansion and settler opportunity became embedded into the U.S. political system and culture. The violence unleashed on the largely defenseless Indian nations had few parallels in history. Treaties and policies involving Indigenous peoples have consistently been designed to disadvantage them, locking them into suppressed social status and codifying their dependence on the U.S. government. Undeniably unbiased & fact - rich in content. Refreshing, inspiring & very freely offered for listeners to make inroads by their own actions in directly helpful ways regarding their own personal urges to be of active service toward their highest ideals for peace, social & human rights balance, truth telling & clarity for compassionate understanding. A educational broadcast providing an essential piece in the construct of a world which works for everyone, & by everyone’s enlightened participating action.

I appreciate the great show and speakers, and am glad they bothered to create a Podcast of it at all, but c’mon, one episode at a time (or you can telegraph, fax or use smoke signals to request/receive old episodes)?! It would be much more useful to share the back catalog, or at least a half-dozen or more episodes at a time versus being so controlling with them. I get that it’s likely a revenue stream, but perhaps create a Patreon or subscription feed to get the full Episodes or get extra content…just need to get the logistics figured out…
