Slackers
I would give them 13 out of 5 stars except that their output is pretty erratic. May be extinct.
All tetrapods, all the time
This podcast covers an absolutely astonishing range of species - if you like tetrapods, living or extinct, this is the show for you. Darren and John have their own brand of humor, and they cover current zoology news, conferences, paleo art, obscure groups of animals, cryptozoology, and even popular media with wit and insight. I appreciate having both a scientific (from Darren) and artistic (from John) perspective, and I have been fascinated by their discussions about writing popular science books and the challenges of working with television and other media. There’s a little bit of everything in this show and if you listen, you will definitely learn something new.
Even better than Cowboys vs. Dinosaurs
Love the show but they need to post more often. That being said, when they do, the shows are 2 hours long sometimes so it's almost enough to tide you over.
