From public radio producer, Nate DiMeo, comes The Memory Palace, a finalist for the 2016 Peabody Award and one of iTunes Best Podcast of 2015. Short, surprising stories of the past, sometimes heartbreaking, sometimes hysterical, often a little bit of both.

Hampton Sides In the Kingdom of Ice has a nice telling of the story with a lot of background on the editor of the Herald. -

Quality
Nate has a way with words. His words are really good. His voice and storytelling along with the subtle soundtrack in the background always nail the scene. There’s an artistry here to what Nate and his team have created and I’m glad I’ve found it. It will move you.
Feeling history
In the ever expanding sea of podcasts, this has been my favorite for years. With history, it’s so easy to ignore the feelings or momentousness of events because we already know their outcome and live in the world of their aftermath. I love the way DiMeo puts you in the perspective of living through these moments, some big and some small, so you can place yourself in the experience and feel the history as if moving through it yourself.
Favorite podcast ever
Nearly every episode makes me cry. Not because they’re all sad (although some certainly are), but because they’re so beautiful.
