Tuesdays with Terry: Pressure on Putin, Ukraine Cripples Russia, Presidential Sons & Mel Brooks

President Vladimir V. Putin of Russia faced a fresh round of pressure on Tuesday as Ukraine launched another attack on the Russian capital, continued to disrupt Russian fuel supplies and pressed its campaign to cut off Crimea, the peninsula Moscow annexed from Ukraine in 2014.  Putin could be "forced to surrender," but the underlying story is really about whether Ukraine's expanding drone campaign, pressure on Russian logistics, and economic difficulties can push Russia toward negotiations. Analysts cited in the report argue this may be Ukraine's strongest position in years, though Russia still retains substantial military and economic capacity and the war's outcome remains far from settled.  The Post's editorial argues that alleged influence-based business dealings by Donald Trump Jr., Eric Trump, and associates deserve the same scrutiny that Republicans previously directed at Hunter Biden. The board's central message is that ethical standards should apply equally to both political families, regardless of party.  Happy Birthday Cpl. Mel Brooks, U.S. Army (Ret). A man that taught the world to laugh about some of the hardest periods in history through his deep understanding of what it was like to live through it.  Please Like, Comment and Follow 'Philip Teresi on KMJ' on all platforms: ---     Philip Teresi on KMJ is available on the KMJNOW app, Apple Podcasts, Spotify, YouTube or wherever else you listen to podcasts.  -- Philip Teresi on KMJ Weekdays 2-6 PM Pacific on News/Talk 580 AM & 105.9 FM KMJ  | Website  | Facebook | Instagram | X | Podcast | Amazon | - Everything KMJ KMJNOW App | Podcasts | Facebook | X | Instagram  See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.

Tuesdays with Terry: Gas Prices, Negotiating with Iran & Nukes

Trump is pressuring gasoline retailers to cut pump prices quickly, arguing that recent declines in crude-oil prices should be reflected at gas stations. He suggested prices should move toward $2.50 per gallon, warned against alleged price gouging, and has directed the Justice Department to investigate whether fuel sellers are keeping prices artificially high.  For all the pollyannish blather of President Trump, Vice President JD Vance, and other administration officials, there has been no regime change in Iran. Many regime leaders were killed at the beginning of combat operations in late February, in combined American-Israeli operations.  In the span of little more than a week, the Iranian regime has broken just about every promise it made in the memorandum of understanding. Not only did the Iranians sign a document promising the “immediate and permanent termination of military operations on all fronts” and “not to initiate any war or any military operation against each other,” they also agreed to “refrain from the threat or use of force against each other.”  Please Like, Comment and Follow 'Philip Teresi on KMJ' on all platforms: ---     Philip Teresi on KMJ is available on the KMJNOW app, Apple Podcasts, Spotify, YouTube or wherever else you listen to podcasts.  -- Philip Teresi on KMJ Weekdays 2-6 PM Pacific on News/Talk 580 AM & 105.9 FM KMJ  | Website  | Facebook | Instagram | X | Podcast | Amazon | - Everything KMJ KMJNOW App | Podcasts | Facebook | X | Instagram  See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.
