    Kickin' Ash BBQ’s Tracy & Jimmy Spruill and Robby Zucker, Voice Impressionist With a Memory Lane Stroll

    Tracy and Jimmy Spruill are competitive barbecue cooks from Bulverde, Texas who compete as Kickin' Ash BBQ.  They are becoming well known for attention to detail and their passion for creating great Texas barbecue.  How did this husband and wife team meet and become a winning competition barbecue team?   That's just one of the many questions we explore as we hear from two people who are doing what they love together.  Joining us as guest co-host is Doug Scheiding, another Bulverde, Texas pitmaster who once again adds his own special insights and questions. Over an 11-season career, he was an All-Star and Silver Slugger winner, playing for the San Francisco Giants, Detroit Tigers, New York Yankees, Baltimore Orioles, and Colorado Rockies.  Nokes burst onto the scene with the Detroit Tigers, hitting 32 home runs and driving in 87 runs, earning an All-Star nod and finishing third in American League Rookie of the Year voting.  He was the catcher for Jim Abbott’s no-hitter with the Yankees on September 4, 1993 and the survivor of an emergency landing in an airplane he was piloting.     Ken Davidoff, Co-author of 101 Lessons From The Dugout and Kelly Kammann from Kelly Belly BBQ

    Ken Davidoff has been covering Major League Baseball for 30 years. He served as a baseball columnist at the New York Post from 2012 through 2022.  Prior to joining The Post, Ken wrote about baseball for Newsday and The Record. He has appeared on ESPN, the MLB Network, YES Network, CNN, and others. A former president of the Baseball Writers Association of America, Ken now works as an adjunct professor at Endicott College in Beverly, Mass., teaching various journalism and writing courses.  His latest project is the book, 101 Lessons From The Dugout:  What Baseball And Softball Can Teach Us About The Game Of Life, which he co-wrote with Harley A.     Schmoozing With Steve Somers, Sports Radio Personality and Vincent and Joyce Regino from Regi-Q BBQ

    Steve Somers nicknamed the Schmoozer, is a sports radio personality, best known for his work on the sports radio station WFAN.  He has been with the station since its inception in 1987.  Steve is originally from San Francisco, California, but his dream was to end up sportscasting in New York City.  The story of how he finally got to New York with some stops along the way is entertaining and fascinating.  All of these stories and more are found in the book he co-wrote with Dick Friedman titled, Me Here, You There:  My Three Decades Overnight, Under The Covers, Schmoozing S-P-O-R-T-S As Captain Midnight for WFAN.
