Men man kommer ikke til toppen alene, hvorfor Ninna er med on board. Som præstationscoach-praktikant i Team Danmark vil hun bygge rejsen til guldet. Mens klubbens sensei har travlt i sin kræmmerbod, vil Ninna lede Kathrine gennem rebranding, medieopmærksomhed, møde med branchen, kendte mennesker, og meget meget meget mere. I “Karateklubben” følger vi rejsen mod guldet. Vi bliver lukket ind i afkroge af det travle liv i lokalforeningen, hvor man aldrig har været før, og bliver klogere på, hvilke valg der er vigtige at tage i et forløb med seriøs sport og ikke mindst coaching.

D. 9. maj 1945 passerede en stor konvoj af tyske flygtningeskibe Christiansø. Øboerne samledes for at se de fyldte skibe, uvidende om den tragedie, der ventede. For pludselig dukkede russiske bombefly op og angreb konvojen. Ifølge øjenvidnerne mistede tusindvis af mennesker livet på havet den dag, men historien er omgærdet af tvivl og modstridende kilder. I denne dokumentarserie rejser journalisterne Kirstine Christensen og Anna Hjorth tilbage til krigens sidste døgn for at opklare mysteriet ved Christiansø.
