V SREDIŠČU | Zloraba Sove za politične spine

Gostje tokratne oddaje V središču so bili nekdanji direktor vladnega urada za preprečevanje korupcije in odvetnik Boštjan Penko ter dva nekdanja direktorja Sove – odvetnik Janez Stušek in Iztok Podbregar, ki danes predava na več fakultetah. V oddaji smo se med drugim vprašali, zakaj se je v primeru obiska predstavnikov podjetja Black Cube sploh sestal sekretariat sveta za nacionalno varnost, saj gre za zadevo, ki bi jo morala obravnavati Sova in bi morala ostati za zaprtimi vrati. Je bila torej Sova v tem primeru zlorabljena za politične namene? Zakaj se je z objavljanjem posnetkov prenehalo, ko je postalo jasno, da je Slovenija odstopila od tožbe proti Izraelu? Kaj govorijo osnovni učbeniki obveščevalne in protiobveščevalne dejavnosti? Odgovore na ta vprašanja boste dobili po ogledu celotne oddaje, ki jo je vodila Brigite Ferlič.

V SREDIŠČU | Ali smo v politiki dosegli dno?

Je slovenska politika dosegla svoje dno? To vprašanje si te dni marsikdo zastavlja ob aferi poslanca Resnice Borisa Mijića, ki je svoje propadlo podjetje podaril davčnemu svetovalcu Roku Snežiču. Predsednik Resnice Zoran Stevanović je strmoglavil na lestvicah priljubljenosti politikov in odšel na dopust. Koalicija pa je vendarle zmogla precej zadržano kritiko na račun ravnanja poslanca Mijića. Ali se bo poslovil od politike, ni znano, saj se na novinarske klice ne odziva. Dejstvo pa je, da ta afera slovensko politiko postavlja v slabo luč. »Anomalije postajajo naša normalnost, kar je slabo,« sta se strinjala gosta tokratne oddaje V središču – evropska poslanca in politika Marjan Šarec ter Vladimir Prebilič, ki je skupaj s stranko SD zavrnil vstop v vlado v senci Roberta Goloba. Zakaj košarica in kaj je Golob storil narobe? Bo sploh preživel v opoziciji? Bo jeseni volivke in volivce uspešneje prepričala levica ali desnica? Online fraud schemes (OFS) networks target both individuals and organisations, operating as highly efficient and transnational industries. These networks employ a range of logistical, technical, and financial operations to perpetrate large-scale fraud. With the increasing adoption of generative AI, fraudsters can now personalise social engineering techniques, making them more convincing and dangerous. V SREDIŠČU | Kanal C0: Sinonim za korupcijo

V soboto so položili še zadnjih 120 metrov od dobrih 12 kilometrov dolgega kanalizacijskega kanala C0. Ta bo odpadne vode iz Medvod in Vodic prenašal do centralne čistilne naprave v Zalogu. Strokovnjaki svarijo pred okoljsko katastrofo. V oddaji V središču sta o kanalu C0, ki nikoli ne bi smel potekati nad vodonosnikom, spregovorila poslanka SDS Anja Bah Žibert, predsednica preiskovalne komisije, ki je preiskovala gradnjo kanala C0, in odvetnik Klemen Golob, ki zastopa lastnike zemljišč, kjer poteka kanal in okoljevarstveno organizacijo Alpe Adria Green. Konec gradnje kanala C0 bo ljubljanska občina predstavila na tiskovni konferenci po torkovem srečanju ljubljanskega župana Zorana Jankovića z županoma Medvod in Vodic, Nejcom Smoletom in Acem Francom Šuštarjem. Kanal C0 bo namreč povezal kanalizacijska sistema Medvod in Vodic z osrednjo ljubljansko čistilno napravo in je del 111 milijonskega projekta odvajanje in čiščenje odpadne vode na območju vodonosnika Ljubljansko polje. Za projekt je ljubljanska občina dobila približno 69 milijonov evrov evropskih sredstev in približno 12 milijonov evrov državnih. Preostalo prispevajo omenjene tri občine. V SREDIŠČU | Prazna kašča Roberta Goloba

V ospredju tokratne oddaje V središču sestavljanje druge vlade Roberta Goloba. Mu bo uspelo sestaviti raznobarvno koalicijo, bo res »kupil« dva poslanca Demokratov, o čemer se špekulira, in kakšne ukrepe lahko sploh sprejme, glede na to, da je s svojo predvolilno radodarnostjo precej zmanjšal manevrski prostor v proračunu? O tem smo se v tokratni oddaji V središču pogovarjali z nekdanjim večkratnim ministrom in predsednikom vlade dr. Antonom Ropom in profesorjem, nekdanjim ministrom ter političnim komentatorjem dr. Žigo Turkom. V pogovoru smo med drugim analizirali rezultate reform, ki jih je izpeljala odhajajoča koalicija. How Washington Privatized The Capital Market - ft. Renée Jones

Amazon went public three years after it was founded. SpaceX stayed private for 24 years. What changed and why does it matter? The standard story is that companies avoid an IPO because public markets carry too many government rules and too many lawyers looking to sue. Renee Jones, law professor, former SEC official, and author of the new book Untamed Unicorns: Why Startup Finance Is Broken and How to Fix It, makes the opposite case. Jones argues what changed was the deregulation of private markets, driven by decades of industry lobbying. Due to decisions in Washington, companies became able to raise billions privately and there was no reason to go public . You could get the capital and keep total control, without ever having to disclose anything to regulators. If you've never bought a share of a startup, you might assume none of this touches you. But most of the money flowing into these private markets comes from pension funds and retirement accounts, meaning ordinary savers are already invested in companies whose books they'll never see. Christopher Nolan, director: We need to take risks

“The biggest risk in motion pictures is to not take a risk. You have to be putting it out there and offering people something new, and that's what will get them out of their houses.” Katie Razzall speaks to Oscar-winning filmmaker Christopher Nolan. The 55-year-old, whose directing credits include Inception, Interstellar and Oppenheimer, is widely considered one of the 21st century’s most influential filmmakers. Born in London in 1970, his career began in the mid-1990s, when he would proofread scripts, operate cameras and direct for corporate information films. Barely a decade later, he was chosen to direct Christian Bale as Batman in The Dark Knight trilogy, setting a new standard for how superheroes were portrayed on screen. A string of blockbusters followed, making him one of the highest-grossing directors of all time, and was later knighted in 2024 for his services to film. He’s now releasing his latest project, The Odyssey - an ambitious adaptation of Homer’s ancient Greek story, starring a Hollywood A-List cast, including Matt Damon, Anne Hathaway and Zendaya. Carlos Acosta, dancer: Ballet is for everyone

“It's very important that we expose this work early on, so that people from different cultures see ballet as a way of a career. But in the 1990s or 2000s, it was pretty much closed, we didn't have - even in school - a lot of black ballet dancers from which to choose from. But now, obviously, things have moved on. Now, diversity is at the top of every director's agenda… it's great that we’ve seen a big shift and we see the right kind of representation of the world as we have it today, on stage.” Michael Berkeley speaks to ballet star Carlos Acosta about his life and career. Born in 1973, Acosta grew up in a poor part of Havana, where he was the 11th child in a very large family. He began training at the National Ballet School of Cuba at 9 years old, and quickly rose to prominence. At 18, he became the youngest principal dancer at the English National Ballet. After gaining further international experience, Acosta joined the Royal Ballet in 1998 - making it his home for nearly two decades, and performing every major classical role. Such was his impact, in 2014 he received a CBE in Queen Elizabeth’s honours list for services to ballet. Now the Director of Birmingham Royal Ballet, he’s fostered some unexpected collaborations, including a show based on the music of the city’s heavy rock legends Black Sabbath, as well as classics like Swan Lake and the Nutcracker.
