Episode 8: A Classical American Education

Noah Webster described education without the Bible as useless, referring to the Word of God as “America’s basic textbook in all fields." That is drastically different than the philosophy prevalent in the classrooms of today. In this episode, we discuss the importance of a classical American education that is provided in an Apostolic environment. It is time for the Apostolic church to take the lead role in educational excellence. Episode 7: The New Left (America’s Third Wave of Revolutionary Activism)

The classical American educational philosophy has been under attack since the ideas of Charles Darwin arrived from Europe. Most people are familiar with the progressive ideas of John Dewey in the early portion of the 21stcentury, but not as many associate the tumultuous 1960s with Marxist ideology. Today on Authentically Apostolic, we uncover the philosophy behind many events during that era of social change with a focus upon how it radically damages the American public school system. Today, we will delve a little deeper into more of the arguments commonly used to discourage American families from making the decision that has always been very popular in our nation’s history: parents being in charge of their own children’s education.
