Life With Danni Duncan

Life won’t wait - we get one shot - and you are in the driver's seat.  You can Do Hard Things.  I’m Danni Duncan…featured fitness and nutrition coach, author, speaker and mum of 4 amazing kiddies (including twins). Online I’ve shared it all, my pregnancy journeys, miscarriages, why you SHOULDN’T be eating cereal for breakfast, how to make the perfect sourdough and helping you to see that YOU can do hard things.  The things I’ve said online have often got me into a bit of trouble, and its because I’m not afraid to call people out on their shit … I’m not afraid to discuss taboo topics and I don’t believe that any of us need to live an average life where we do what society is telling us is ‘normal’ … instead its our job to question “Why is that normal?” And is that what we want for our own life?  This podcast is going to be a space where I chat to experts (and share my own thoughts) on WHY we aren’t living our full potential.  Where you can get the facts that will help you to get your happiness, motivation and confidence back.  Taking the first steps can be hard, but I’m here to help you make it a little easier to face your fears and live your best life - every, single, day.  I will make you feel uncomfortable, I will make you think differently but you may just wanna hear it.   If you want to make this year the year that you do something for yourself, you’re in the right space. Finding Yourself Again After Motherhood, Burnout and Midlife with Colleen Callander

If you’ve ever felt like you’re too busy, too tired, too old, too unsure, or too deep in motherhood to chase something for yourself, this episode is going to feel like a biiiiig exhale. Today I’m chatting with the beautiful Colleen Callander. She was the CEO of Sportsgirl, she’s a mum, an author, a speaker, and honestly just one of those women who makes you feel like you can do big things too. She has sooo much wisdom around confidence, backing yourself, burnout, motherhood, ageing, and building a life that actually feels like yours. In this episode, we’re talking about what it really looks like to stop waiting until you feel ready, start trusting yourself a little more, and remember that you are absolutely not done yet. In this episode, we chat about: > Why so many women wait until they feel “ready” before they do the thing, and how confidence actually comes from having a go > That horrible little voice in your head telling you you’re too old, too young, not good enough, or everyone else is doing it better > How motherhood can make you lose yourself a little bit, and why wanting something for yourself does not make you a bad mum > What burnout looked like for Colleen at 36, and the changes she had to make so she could actually feel like herself again > How to stop comparing yourself to everyone else > Why life after 50 can be bloody exciting!! If you want to connect with Colleen, you can find her on Linkedin here, or on IG @colleen_callander Visit her website www.colleencallander.com.au If you need a push to take control of your health - download my app FIT by Danni Duncan or sign up for coaching.  I also share all of my health and fitness tips over on IG @danni.duncan_ so if you want more, make sure you join me over there. What 5 Kids Taught a 7x Olympian About “Having it Together” 😂 ft Libby Trickett

Does a 7 time Olympian have their life and motherhood together? This is one of the first questions I asked, Libby Trickett. I’m sure she needs no explanation but just in case - Libby is an ex competitive swimmer who was a gold medalist in not one but THREE Olympics, and held the world record for the 100m free style.  We’re chatting about everything, including why being an Olympian does not mean you have your life together, what it’s like going from being the best in the world, to living a normal life, and what she’s seeing happening too often with kids and sport right now (this part’s really interesting). We chat about: > “What did we even do before kids?” because somehow there was SO much time and now there’s none > Libby’s morning routine with 5 kids > Getting five kids out the door in the morning (and how that that alone feels like a huge win) > The devastating race Libby didn’t watch for 15 years… and what happened when she finally did > The shift in your 40s where you genuinely don’t give a f about what other people think of you  > That feeling of “am I even doing a good job?” (and why it doesn’t just go away) > Why we’re seeing less “body trust” in women + how that all links back to kids not moving as much … and SO much more If you want more of Libby you can follow her on IG @libby_trickett. Listen to Libby’s podcast Sportish on Spotify or Apple.  If you need a push to take control of your health - download my app FIT by Danni Duncan or sign up for coaching.  I also share all of my health and fitness tips over on IG @danni.duncan_ so if you want more, make sure you join me over there. Who decides if you’re a runner or not? The most incredible things Anna Liptak has experienced in 42 marathons (and counting)

A few weeks ago, Chris and I announced that we’re running the New York Marathon… and it still feels slightly ridiculous to say out loud. Because if you had told me years ago that running would become such a big part of my life, I wouldn’t have believed you. And I know a lot of you listening probably feel the same. “I’m not a runner.” That’s exactly why I wanted to have this conversation. Today I’m joined by Anna from Adventure Time Travel, who has run more than 40 marathons all over the world and helped thousands of people cross finish lines they once thought were completely out of reach. If you’ve ever wondered whether running a marathon is something you could do, what it feels like to finish the New York Marathon and what kind of changes lie ahead for you… Then this is for you. Stick around to find out: > Why so many people tell themselves they’re “not a runner”… and what actually changes when that story shifts > What it feels like standing on the start line of a marathon for the first time > The moments during a race that stay with you long after you cross the finish line > What goes through your head when things get hard… and how people keep going > What Anna has seen in thousands of runners once they finally say yes to something that scares them > What she would say to you if you’ve ever thought about running a marathon… but haven’t signed up yet If you want to hear more from Anna, you can find her on IG @annaliptakruns or @hisandhertime.
