This parable highlights the importance of being faithful stewards of the resources God has entrusted to us, including all of our finances and time. To be good stewards, it is important to recognize that everything belongs to God, seek God’s guidance in decision making, use our gifts and resources to serve others, and invest in eternal rewards. In order for a Christian entrepreneur to successfully commit to the Lord whatever they do, they must have humility. Ashton suggests that this means putting God in charge of all work. The hosts also emphasize the importance of seeking God and His guidance as it pertains to plans and actions. Ultimately, they remind entrepreneurs to lean on God, and He will establish their plans. The conversation is about how to make plans that are in line with God's will and truly serve a purpose. It is argued that if someone is not in charge, their plans won't matter, regardless of how great they think they may be. In order to succeed, the plans must be connected and submitted to God's will. Additionally, success isn't always measurable, and sometimes it is our hearts which can guide us to determine if the plans are successful. This is seen by looking for signs of peace, rather than stress.
