EP. 395 | Ranking More “Game’s Gone” Moments - Chelsea’s Ref Huddle & Digital Match Programmes?!

On this week’s episode of That Peter Crouch Podcast, Crouchy, Chris, and Sids dive headfirst into another chaotic round of your “Game’s Gone” submissions—and nothing is safe. From Chelsea’s baffling centre-circle huddle (with the referee somehow stuck in the middle of it) to the death of printed matchday programmes, the lads dissect the modern game’s strangest trends with their usual mix of nostalgia and disbelief. There’s outrage over “starter and finisher” terminology, confusion around American-style commentary creeping into football, and a proper debate on whether football is quietly losing its identity. The boys also stumble into some all-time ridiculous footballer names, explore bizarre football simulator games, and question whether players today are a bit too… well moisturised. Plus, Crouchy gears up for a Liverpool Legends return at Anfield—with big plans to bring back proper shin pads. Packed with listener submissions, strong opinions, and plenty of laughs, this episode asks the big question once again: has the game well and truly gone? EP. 394 | Danny Dyer Gets BRUTALLY Honest: West Ham’s Decline, Fake Big Club Fans & Spurs Relegation

On this week’s episode of That Peter Crouch Podcast, Pete, Chris, and Sids are joined by actor, lifelong West Ham fan, and all-round football obsessive Danny Dyer—and it gets properly lively. From the moment he walks in, Danny brings unfiltered opinions on modern football, tearing into everything from agents and player loyalty to the state of fan culture today. He opens up about his latest film, where he plays a ruthless football agent, revealing just how accurate (and brutal) that world really is behind the scenes. The conversation dives deep into West Ham’s rollercoaster journey, including that unforgettable Conference League win, the pain of leaving Upton Park, and why some players simply don’t care enough when relegation is on the line. Danny doesn’t hold back either on fans switching clubs, calling out what he sees as a growing disconnect in the game. There’s also chaos, of course—caravan parks, phone networks, McDonald’s debates, and one of the most random tangents the pod has ever seen. And once Danny heads off, the lads wrap things up with Cheltenham stories, Premier League predictions, and the usual end-of-show madness. If you like your football chat honest, raw, and very funny… this one’s for you. Abbey & Peter Crouch: The One Word That Starts Arguments (And Why It Never Means What You Think).

On today’s episode of The Therapy Crouch, Abbey Clancy and Peter Crouch are back with chaos, confessions, and a few relationship “debates” that spiral quickly. From a luxury Mother’s Day with a private chef to a £1,300 ear piercing shock that leaves Abbey fuming, the couple unpack a week full of unexpected drama. Things take a turn as Pete calls out Abbey’s “volatility,” sparking a hilarious but all-too-relatable breakdown of relationship miscommunication — including why the word “fine” absolutely never means fine. The pair also dive into a listener dilemma about football taking over family life, with Pete defending the beautiful game while Abbey isn’t quite as convinced. There’s also a Wolf of Wall Street-themed party recap (featuring Pete on the mic… again), parenting debates, and a surprisingly emotional take on Ronaldo that you won’t expect. EP. 363 | Harry Wilson: "Everything Silva Promised, Happened." Fulham On FIRE & Wales World Cup Hope

On this week’s episode of That Peter Crouch Podcast, the lads are joined by Fulham’s in-form winger and Welsh international Harry Wilson — and there are some unbelievable stories behind his rise. Harry opens up about the incredible moment his grandad placed a £50 bet on him to play for Wales when he was just 18 months old — a punt that eventually paid out £125,000 when Harry made his debut years later. It’s a story so good it genuinely sounds like a film. The conversation also dives into Harry’s journey through Liverpool’s academy, signing his first contract at just nine years old, and learning from elite players like James Milner, Adam Lallana, Mohamed Salah, and Roberto Firmino in Jurgen Klopp’s first-team training sessions. Harry explains the reality of the loan system in football, including the tough spell that nearly derailed his career before a confidence rebuild back at Liverpool helped turn things around. There are also brilliant insights into the Wales national team, including what it was like playing alongside Gareth Bale and Aaron Ramsey, the electric atmosphere of the Welsh anthem, how Craig Bellamy’s strict standards are shaping the new generation, and Harry reveals his personal favourite goal ever — a stunning free kick at Old Trafford for Derby County. On top of that, there are of course some classic Crouch pod shenanigans, such as Sid’s surreal story about drinking Bollinger with Brazilian Ronaldo on a ski trip, debating the correct size of shin pads, and Crouchy settles the confusion around a recently surfaced video of him and Messi’s 1v1 in Croydon… Chumbawamba 00:00 - Subscribe song & Intro 01:21 - The “wrong glass for drinks” debate 03:30 - Sid’s ski trip and meeting Brazilian Ronaldo 06:20 - Asking Ronaldo what phone network he’s on 08:45 - Ski trip stories continue 10:48 - Harry Wilson joins the podcast 11:30 - Harry’s incredible season at Fulham 12:50 - Palace or Spurs goal – his favourite this season 13:45 - Listening to the podcast & life with a newborn 14:40 - Shin pad debate: modern footballers wear tiny ones 18:05 - Signing for Liverpool at just 9 years old 20:10 - Growing up in rural Wales 21:45 - The call from Ian Rush 22:50 - Wales debut at 16 years old 23:50 - The famous £50 bet from his grandad 26:30 - Passion & playing for your country  28:30 - Michael Sheen’s team speech 31:10 - The harsh reality of loan spells in football 33:00 - Injury setbacks and rebuilding confidence 33:50 - Training with Klopp’s Liverpool first team 36:40 - Best player in Liverpool training? 38:20 - England’s chances at the World Cup 40:00 - Craig Bellamy’s strict standards with Wales 42:10 - Bellamy’s dressing room rules 44:40 - What players do on Wales international camps 46:05 - Marco Silva’s impact at Fulham 47:55 - Harry reveals which phone network he uses 49:20 - Favourite goal ever: free kick at Old Trafford 51:00 - Set-piece tactics in modern football 55:00 - Listener questions & football stories 01:03:19 - Harry Wilson leaves the podcast 01:04:20 - Paddy Power’s Cheltenham segment 01:07:00 - Score predictions begin 01:10:30 - Spurs’ struggles discussed 01:16:10 -Crouchy and Messi in Croydon? 01:17:00 - Outro For more Peter Crouch:  Twitter - https://twitter.com/petercrouch  Therapy Crouch - https://www.youtube.com/@thetherapycrouch  For more Chris Stark  Twitter - https://twitter.com/Chris_Stark Instagram - https://www.instagram.com/chrisstark/ For more Steve Sidwell  Twitter - https://twitter.com/sjsidwell  Instagram - https://www.instagram.com/stevesidwell14  #PeterCrouch #ThatPeterCrouchPodcast Hosted on Acast. Abbey Clancy & Peter Crouch: “Tracking Your Partner Is Crossing The Line”

On today’s episode of The Therapy Crouch, things get very honest as Abbey and Peter dive into the little habits, lies and dynamics that make (or break) a relationship… 👀 The episode kicks off with a debate that every couple will recognise - is tracking your partner’s location actually about safety… or is it crossing a line? Abbey defends it, Peter calls it a full-on violation, and things quickly spiral from there. We also get into the harmless (and not-so-harmless) lies we tell in relationships - from exaggerating talents to fully committing to stories that get completely out of hand. Plus, one listener dilemma about a dad pretending to be a professional footballer takes things to a whole new level. Abbey opens up about the assumptions people make because of her accent, while the pair share their thoughts on stereotypes, confidence and proving people wrong. There’s also the usual chaos - including a ridiculous game that quickly derails the episode and some very questionable dinner table entertainment with the kids. And in a rare serious moment, Abbey and Peter reveal what they think actually makes their relationship work after all these years - from embracing differences to knowing when to just let things go. CLASSIC CLIPS | What’s In a Premier League Striker’s Contact? Crouchy On The REALITY Of Goal Bonuses

FROM THE VAULT: In this clip, Crouchy dives into the details of his contract during his time at Stoke City, revealing the realities behind goal bonuses in top-flight football. Crouch breaks down a clause that rewarded him for hitting double figures in a season, and reflects on the pressure, mentality, and decision-making that comes with it — including whether players ever act selfishly in pursuit of financial incentives. He opens up on dressing room dynamics, the psychology of strikers in front of goal, and why he insists money was never his primary motivation on the pitch. The conversation also expands into how modern football has changed, with astronomical wages and bonuses potentially shifting player motivations, as well as a hilarious debate on whether defenders deserve bonuses at all — and why football contracts might be more complicated than they seem. On this week’s episode of That Peter Crouch Podcast, the lads hand over the reins completely… because you asked, and we answered EVERYTHING. From the real story behind how the podcast first began at the BBC (yes, it was basically football’s version of One Direction), to nearly hitting 400 episodes and planning something huge for the 10-year anniversary — Pete, Sids and Chris take a proper trip down memory lane. We dive into the one game Crouchy would replay forever (and the medal that still stings), Sids relives promotion chaos and post-match beers, and the boys get brutally honest about whether they would’ve taken the Saudi payday at the end of their careers. There’s also Cheltenham madness, Harry Redknapp tip stories, footballers calling their jobs “appearances”, shocking dressing room nicknames, the worst Premier League kits of all time… and somehow, a serious debate about double pudding etiquette. Harry Styles, Celebrity Encounters & Cat Thieves! Abbey Clancy & Peter Crouch Talk Celebs!

On today’s episode of The Therapy Crouch, Abbey and Peter are back with another chaotic catch up as Peter reveals he’s started a brand new fitness regime and has become absolutely obsessed with swimming, which Abbey is convinced is just proof he’s embracing his inner old man in the pool. Abbey also tells us all about her very glamorous day out at Fulham where she enjoyed oysters, pancakes and a full English in the brand new Riverside hospitality stand, although she admits it might not be the most authentic football experience. Things quickly heat up when Abbey calls Peter out for secretly adding things to the family diary, leaving her to juggle four school runs and a mysterious training challenge she’s currently preparing for. In the Agony Abs, a listener writes in with a bizarre dilemma as her neighbour appears to be slowly stealing her cat, which leads to a hilarious debate about whether cats actually choose their owners and what you should do when your pet starts spending more time next door than at home. Elsewhere, the pair chat about luxury barber experiences, the worst haircut Peter ever had thanks to his dad, Harry Styles’ accent, WhatsApp stress and the couple’s ongoing battle with modern family logistics. EP. 361 | Les Ferdinand: “You Must Have Two Strikers.” The Death Of Two Up Top - Part 2

Les Ferdinand is back — and this one goes everywhere. From the pressure of wearing the iconic number nine shirt to why modern football has drifted away from two-striker partnerships, Les doesn’t hold back. There’s a proper centre-forward masterclass in here — plus a full dissection of diving, simulation, and why shin pads have basically disappeared. Yes… we’re starting the campaign to Make Shin Pads Great Again. We also get stuck into the “blue card” debate, inverted wingers, why no one attacks crosses anymore, and whether football’s gone a bit too nice. Then it’s straight into predictions, the wife’s score calls, and one of the strangest deep dives into mobile phone providers you’ll ever hear on a football podcast. Part 2 delivers. 11. EP. 360 | Les Ferdinand: “I Was Minutes From Man United…” From Goalkeeper To 90’s Prem Icon - Part 1

    FEB 18

EP. 360 | Les Ferdinand: “I Was Minutes From Man United…” From Goalkeeper To 90’s Prem Icon - Part 1

On this week’s episode of That Peter Crouch Podcast, we’re joined by one of the Premier League’s original centre-forward royalty… Les Ferdinand. Before the goal compilations, before the Sky Sports montages, before strikers were measured by pressing data and heat maps, there was “Sir Les”.  QPR icon. Newcastle hero. The man leading the line when the Premier League still felt brand new. A proper No.9. Power, presence, goals everywhere he went. If you grew up in the 90s, you knew exactly what Les Ferdinand meant. He joins Pete, Sids and Chris to talk about the journey from West London non-league graft to becoming one of the most feared forwards in the country. There’s the unbelievable story of starting out as a goalkeeper, the Turkey move that changed his mentality forever, and the sliding doors moment with Manchester United that could have rewritten football history.  We get into loyalty, ambition, dressing room politics and the brutal advice from Ray Wilkins that stuck with him for life. It’s honest, funny, reflective and packed with the kind of insight only someone who’s lived it can give. We’ve split our conversation Les into two parts, and after we transition out of the nostalgia fuelled Part 1, things immediately descend into remote chaos. We build up to Macclesfield’s FA Cup tie and what it could mean for the pod, update the leaderboard as the pressure ramps up, and dive into this week’s Paddy Power predictions with a North London Derby thrown into the mix. There’s a live package opened on air that nobody fully understands, some technical mishaps, a bit of shouting about scores, and the sort of disorder that only seems to happen when we’re not all in the same room. Part 2 with Les drops next week. SNEAK PEAK | Danny Dyer Becomes a Desperate Football Agent With Nothing Left…

SNEAK PEEK: In this clip, Danny Dyer joins the lads to break down his latest film role, where he plays a desperate football agent fighting to keep his career alive. Danny explains how his new film explored the darker side of the football agent world — the ruthless negotiations, the lack of loyalty in the game, and the pressure that comes with chasing the next big deal. He lifts the lid on the character he plays: a man fresh out of rehab, clinging onto his final client while his life slowly unravels over the course of a tense, one-room drama shot in Dublin. Danny also reflects on the craft of acting after more than three decades in the industry, addressing the perception that he “just plays himself” and why, for him, the real measure of an actor is simple — getting hired and delivering the job. From the brutal realities of football agents to the challenge of carrying an entire film largely alone on screen, Danny reveals why this role pushed him in ways he hadn’t experienced before — and why it might be one of the performances he’s most proud of. Abbey Clancy’s Worst Drive Ever! Dating Dilemmas & Wine Debates!

On today’s episode of The Therapy Crouch Ask Me Anything, Abbey and Peter are back answering your questions and sharing some of the most chaotic stories from their week. Abbey reveals a terrifying experience driving down the winding roads of Box Hill, despite having a serious fear of heights. With a sheer drop beside the road, cars piling up behind her and the kids in the back, the pressure quickly became overwhelming as she tried to navigate one of the narrowest roads she’s ever driven. Peter also finds himself under fire as Abbey recalls another recent car journey with him behind the wheel, comparing the experience to the Wolf of Wall Street boat scene thanks to some rather aggressive acceleration and braking. The team also tackle some of your questions, including a sticky dating situation where a listener may have complicated his love life after getting a barmaid’s number… only to realise she’s friends with his new girlfriend. Plus there’s discussion around relationship “wine therapy”, whether sitting down with a glass of wine actually helps solve arguments or just makes things worse, the ultimate wine vs beer debate, and some hilarious ideas for the kids’ next fancy dress outfits. EP. 359 | We Rank Your “Game’s Gone” Submissions - “Utter Woke Nonsense!”

On this week’s episode of That Peter Crouch Podcast, Pete, Sids and Chris open the floodgates on everything that makes fans mutter those three sacred words… “the game’s gone.” From goalkeepers stubbornly playing out from the back to laser shows, forced atmospheres, half-and-half scarves and walking around the club badge, nothing is off limits. The lads debate whether modern football presentation has gone too far, question where respect actually begins and ends, and ask if tradition is slowly being replaced by gimmicks. There’s also a passionate rant about why Transfer Deadline Day has lost its magic, why phones on the pitch should be banned, and whether celebrating against your old club is actually disrespectful. EP. 357 | Marcus Mumford on Scoring Past Mourinho, Noel Gallagher’s BRUTAL Advice & Mid-Gig Side Quests

On this week’s episode of That Peter Crouch Podcast, Pete, Sids, and Chris are joined by the one and only Marcus Mumford for a wide-ranging, hilarious, and surprisingly football-obsessed chat. From charity matches and penalty shootouts with José Mourinho, to growing up as a die-hard AFC Wimbledon fan, Marcus opens up on how deeply football is woven into his life and music. The lads dive into unforgettable stories from the Grenfell charity match, playing alongside Premier League legends, and why grassroots football still hits harder than the modern game. Marcus also lifts the lid on life at the very top of music — from Glastonbury and Hyde Park to playing at the White House, meeting Barack Obama, and getting a no-nonsense songwriting pep talk from Noel Gallagher. There’s chaos too, as Crouchy’s Spanish guitar challenge gathers pace, gigs are planned (and refused) around England kick-offs, and Marcus explains why hearing his music on Match of the Day was a bigger moment than almost anything else. Music, football, side quests, and a proper debate about whether the game really has gone — this one has it all. 00:00 – Subscribe song, intro & opening chaos 02:15 – Sid’s holiday, previous guests & missing episodes 05:10 – Guitar chat, New Year resolutions & festival fantasies 08:40 – Kasabian, Finsbury Park & learning guitar late in life 11:55 – Marcus Mumford joins the podcast 14:30 – Grenfell charity match & scoring past José Mourinho 19:05 – Visiting Mourinho at home & the “pantomime villain” role 23:10 – Playing with football legends 27:55 – New album Prizefighter & why it’s his favourite record 32:40 – Hyde Park, Glastonbury & refusing to gig during England games 37:10 – AFC Wimbledon, grassroots football & fan ownership 41:45 – Football chants, Match of the Day & music in stadiums 46:20 – Noel Gallagher’s brutal songwriting advice 50:05 – Touring chaos, Mexico gigs & running into the sea mid-show 54:30 – “Games Gone”, VAR & what football has lost 57:10 – Chris serenades Marcus Mumford as a farewell 58:05 – Paddy Power segment 01:02:40 – Listener messages 01:08:20 – Final thoughts, teasers & episode wrap-up This episode is sponsored by The AA, the UK’s No.1 breakdown provider. “If I’d gone to Istanbul, none of this happens!” - John Bishop on Liverpool story Hollywood loved

On this week’s episode of That Peter Crouch Podcast, Pete and Chris are holed up in a fancy hotel room ahead of a Hollywood-style chat with none other than John Bishop. From ball boy chaos at Watford to AFCON towel-gate madness, the lads kick things off with some classic football nonsense before diving into an incredible life story. John opens up about the sliding doors moment that changed everything - missing Istanbul, walking away from a secure job, and somehow ending up with a Hollywood film based on his life, directed by Bradley Cooper. We hear how stand-up comedy nearly went wrong in front of the England squad, what it takes to win over a hostile room, and why being relaxed might be the most powerful weapon of all. There’s Liverpool chat, Anfield directors’ box madness, iconic songs making their way into movies, and a reminder that football - just like life - can turn on one tiny moment. Plus, awkward hotel goodbyes, junket disasters, and proof that ball boys are officially on one. As always, let us know in the comments - what’s your biggest sliding doors moment? 00:00 - Hotel room chaos and setting the scene 02:10 - Crouchy’s “ultra-professional” car collection story 04:45 - Why golf is boring… until it isn’t 06:05 - Watford vs Millwall and the ball boy disaster 08:00 - AFCON final madness and towel-gate 10:30 - Introducing John Bishop 13:45 - How a film about John Bishop even happened 16:25 - Bradley Cooper gets involved 18:45 - How true the film is to John’s real life 20:05 - John Bishop vs the England dressing room 24:10 - The art of winning a hostile crowd 26:40 - Growing up a Liverpool fan 30:15 - Sitting in the Anfield directors’ box 33:30 - The Liverpool song moment in the film 40:05 - Istanbul, missed finals and sliding doors 46:20 - Could John Bishop do stand-up for England again? 49:10 - Awkward goodbyes and junket chaos 51:40 - Butterfly effects and career-defining moments This episode is sponsored by The AA, the UK’s No.1 breakdown provider. EP. 358 | We Debate The Greatest RETRO Football Kits Of All Time - “ I Remember CRYING Over That Shirt..."

On this week’s episode of That Peter Crouch Podcast, Pete, Sids and Chris dive headfirst into one of football’s most nostalgic — and surprisingly controversial — topics: kits. From childhood shirt disasters and knock-off classics to the shirts that made entire generations fall in love with the game, the lads break down what makes a kit truly iconic. Crouchy shares first-hand memories of his earliest football strips (including one that didn’t survive warm-ups), while the boys debate whether people genuinely look better in football shirts, which kits should never make a comeback, and where wearing a jersey in public officially becomes unacceptable behaviour. There’s also chat about vintage gold, England shirts in everyday life, the unspoken rules footballers live by, and a reminder that some fashion trends really were best left in the past. Plus, a detour into Mila Kunis, Watford shirts, and why manifesting football dreams might actually work… Let us know in the comments: What’s the greatest football kit of all time — and would you wear it on a night out? 00:00 – Subscribe plea and opening chaos 01:10 – Birthday chat and unexpected messages 03:05 – “HBD” texts and why the game’s gone 04:00 – Another Watford manager sacked 05:00 – Could the podcast actually manage Watford? 06:30 – Training with Macclesfield and FA Cup buzz 07:55 – Sponsoring walk-out jackets on live TV 09:10 – The Mila Kunis interview resurfaces 10:40 – Giving Ashton Kutcher a Watford shirt 12:50 – Are people hotter in football kits? 16:00 – First ever football kits (and ruining them) 18:45 – Knock-off shirts and iron-on badges 21:30 – Being “given” better kits as a kid 24:00 – Arsenal schoolboy days and iconic kits 26:10 – Chelsea kits everyone wanted 28:30 – The worst kits of the 90s 31:00 – Wearing football shirts on a night out 33:20 – Vintage kits as fashion statements 35:45 – Iconic England kits and forgotten classics 38:10 – Can footballers wear kits casually? 41:00 – Penalty heartbreak memories and iconic shirts 44:10 – Legendary teams making kits iconic 47:00 – Should England ever have a shirt sponsor? 50:00 – Injury-time chaos and modern football debates 53:30 – Extra time, late goals and “Fergie time” 56:30 – Weekend results and prediction league drama 59:30 – Messages and closing banter This episode is sponsored by The AA, the UK’s No.1 breakdown provider. Mother’s Day Special! Abbey’s Mum Joins the Pod, Pete’s Gift Fail and Mother’s Day Confessions

On today’s episode of The Therapy Crouch, it’s a Mother’s Day special on the podcast as Abbey and Peter welcome a very special guest onto the couch — Abbey’s mum Karen. The episode kicks off with Pete admitting to a classic husband fail after forgetting Abbey’s very first Mother’s Day which sparks a debate about the pressure of getting the perfect gift and whether husbands should actually be responsible for organising the day at all. Abbey also reveals that she’s been secretly editing Pete’s flower orders over the years to make sure she actually gets the bouquet she wants, while Pete defends himself saying the expectations around special occasions are getting out of hand. Later on Karen joins the pod and shares stories about Abbey growing up, what she was really like as a child and why she always knew her daughter would end up performing and entertaining. We also hear about pregnancy cravings, family traditions in Liverpool and what Mother’s Day looks like once your kids grow up and start their own families. In the Agony Abs we hear from a mum who secretly hates Mother’s Day and another listener wondering if her husband should still be helping the kids organise gifts even now they’re teenagers. New year, same chaos. Crouchy's dialling in from Dubai, Sid’s gone full flamenco, and Chris is still reeling from missing the greatest night in Ally Pally history. In this episode, the boys catch up post-Christmas and somehow end up covering robot massages, dodgy gift-giving, Sidwell’s ambition to become a Spanish guitar-playing Gypsy King, and whether the pod should launch a residency at Finsbury Park. Crouchy talks us through meeting Ronaldo at the World Sports Summit (yes, that Ronaldo), putting the podcast on the global stage, and why there’s a very real chance we could become PSG’s shirt sponsor. There’s also a very passionate rant about the FA Cup, a long-overdue roasting of Tottenham’s home form, and Chris has an existential breakdown over kids dressing as referees for Christmas. Darts.
