  1. Karl Pilkington

    09/20/2018

    Karl Pilkington

How the devil are you? Thank you so, so much downloading. Things good? Things not so good? Well put all that aside for an hour or so and let's dive into the world of KARL PILKINGTON.  We announced that Karl would be joining us on Monday, as we always do (what? You don't know that? Check your social media!) and since then anticipation has been building for episode 55 and to hear more of what makes Karl, well... Karl.  Craig & Producer Griff travelled south (London's soho to be exact) to meet Karl at the hotel he was staying in. Tea was ordered, microphones were set up and we hit the record button.   It's a bit of a podcast of two halves this really. Craig and Karl start off by having a bit of a moan about all sorts of stuff (well, it was quite early in the morning) and then just before it turns into a full whinge about the state of everything they think is wrong, it's a hand brake turn into Karl's life and his past and what's happening right now. Actually while you're here... what's happening right now is this: https://www.skygroup.sky/corporate/media-centre/articles/en-gb/meet-karl-in-first-look-trailer-for-new-sky-one-comedy-sick-of-it Karl's done with all his travel show stuff and now he heads into sitcom territory with a show cowritten by himself and long term collaborator RICHARD YEE. 'SICK OF IT' starts sept 27th at 10pm on Sky 1 & NOW TV. And before you ask, no, we havnt been sponsored by Sky One. We just like Karl and happen to think his show is dead, dead good. Oh, and there may be a TSP connection for the very first episode of his show... Hmmm. It's a very, very entertaining episode that we loved recording. Karl is an absolutely brilliant fella to spend time some time with, so sit yourself down and strap yourself in.  Really hope you enjoy.  THIS IS EPISODE 55 OF THE TWO SHOT PODCAST WITH KARL PILKINGTON. Get in touch... Jacob Anderson

Spooky seasonal greetings to you all. Hope you're all doing alright. This week on the podcast we are blessed with the company of artistic polymath Jacob Anderson; nom de plume Raleigh Ritchie. You'll have seen Jacob as Grey Worm in HBO's Game Of Thrones, alongside previous TSP guests on Broadchurch, in BBC2's Episodes, and in loads of theatrical productions. As Raleigh Ritchie, Jacob recently put out the frankly brilliant single Time In A Tree which if you haven't heard his music before is as good a place as any to start. Jacob is an absolute treasure. Candid and warm and humble. This episode captures him in a self-reflective mood as he shares his struggles, strifes and hopes. He's a thoroughly lovely human and we hope he captures your hearts as much as he did ours. Big love Jacob. We've just hit #500subs on youtube - To celebrate, we're putting out this week's episode out as a full length video! 3. Samantha Morton

    08/20/2020

    Samantha Morton

Happy Thursday listeners. We’ve back with another banger of an episode, and this week our guest is Samantha Morton. Craig and Sam had been trying to to make this recording work for an absolute age and whilst the current lockdown is in many ways shit, it does afford some people a bit of extra free time to get together for a TSP chinwag. Craig dialled in via the inter web earlier this week and got into it. Samantha is one of the finest actors of a generation with a load of amazing directorial credits to her name too. You might know her from Synechdoche, New York, Minority Report, Emma, Jane Eyre or more recently Harlots and The Walking Dead. She and Craig discuss her time in foster care, raves at the Marcus Garvey centre in Lenton, moving house, having a stroke, schoolyard violence, family life and loads, loads more. She’s a fabulously open person with a fascinating outlook on life and we’re sure you’ll be completely captivated. This is episode 129 with Samantha Morton. Get in touch... 4. Nicole Kidman

    10/22/2020

    Nicole Kidman

Hiyer Two Shot Pod pals. Hope you're all keeping well. We're back with another episode and this week we're talking to none other than the completely legendary Nicole Kidman! Craig dialled in to New South Wales to have a TSP chin wag with Nicole and they really got into it. They talk about her first forays into the acting world at the tender age of 14, her love of theatre and the trepidation she felt before treading the boards in the West End, traveling for work with her kids and close ones, the importance of drama school knowledge you were convinced you'd never need and loads, loads more. Nicole has done it all. From BMX Bandits (which Craig does bring up) to Batman, from To Die For to Moulin Rouge, she's one the greats of our time. The conversation starts with a bit of discussion about Nicole's most recent HBO project The Undoing which will be available on Sky Atlantic & NOW TV from 26 October. Craig is certainly on the edge of his seat to see the final episode. Nicole is a fabulous guest and we're sure you'll enjoy listening this, episode 136 of the Two Shot Podcast. Get in touch... Dermot O'Leary

What's happening people. It's ya boyz Two Shot Podcast back with a banger. And this week, we have the pleasure of Dermot O'Leary company. You'll know Dermot from just about everywhere; Big Brother, T4, The X-Factor, BBC Radio 2, Soccer Aid and loads, loads more. He's fast becoming the kind of broadcasting institution he references in his anecdotes of life in the corridors of Radio 2. We met Dermot in the basement of Maison Bertaux in Soho and got down to it. You'll hear him and Craig talk about selling his self-published crime fiction novels on his childhood estate, The Howard Cassell performance behind his new People, Just People podcast, Martin Compston: Football Manager, The Smiths, cod roe and chips and so, so much more. Dermot is an incredibly interested human being and his warmth and openness is totally infectious. 6. Joseph Gilgun (Part 2)

    02/28/2019

    Joseph Gilgun (Part 2)

This week we're celebrating some of the talented past TSP guests who've been recognised at this year's BAFTAs. This episode with Joe Gilgun first aired February 28th 2019 Nah then. How are you keeping? We've got another sequel for you this week. It's the return of one of Chorley's finest exports Mr. Joseph Gilgun! We chatted to Joe way, way back in 2017 (click here to listen) and the feedback we got from that episode was incredible. Joe doesn't do too many interviews so having the opportunity to sit down again and record was a real honour. When we spoke to Joe, he'd just wrapped from a hectic shoot on his own creation; the soon to be released series Brassic. He was just readying himself to travel halfway across the world to start shooting the next series of AMC's Preacher - A brutal schedule by anyone's reckoning. The episode finds him wrestling with his emotions. The brutality and honesty of his self-analysis is sometimes startling but they shine so much light on the human condition, it's impossible not to be completely won over. His unfiltered passion and storytelling ability is nothing short of spellbinding and the anecdotes are typically hilarious. It's a beautiful episode that we're so proud to be able to bring you. This is episode 78 of the Two Shot Podcast with Joseph Gilgun. Get in touch... 7. Jodie Comer

    12/20/2018

    Jodie Comer

Well. Here we all are again. It’s episode 69. As this is our last episode of 2018 it seems only fitting to think about what an incredible year it’s been. We’ve been fortunate enough to sit down and meet so many extraordinary people who’ve been so open and so honest with sharing their stories. We wanted to thank each and every one of them.  It isn’t an easy thing to come and meet up with (sometimes) strangers and discuss the deep, intimate parts of your life that can be, sometimes, very revealing... not to mention sharing those to the world! This year we won a British podcast award (We told you right?). We’re so honoured that TSP got recognised alongside so many other podcasts that we love. Do go listen to the many podcasts that made the list as they will all find a place that in your podcast library, we’re sure. As we say goodbye to 2018, it’s fitting we end as we started the year...on a high. We couldn’t think of anyone better to see us out than the brilliant human that is JODIE COMER. Craig & Producer Griff met in London (Earl’s Court) to meet up with Jodie and get their podcast on. It was Jodie’s very first podcast! We’re always so honoured when people want TSP to be their first podcast outing. We don’t think this will disappoint ONE. BIT. You'll know Jodie from her show-stealing depiction of Villanelle in Phoebe Waller-Bridge's incredible Killing Eve alongside Sandra Oh and former TSP guest Susan Lynch. You might also have seen her in The White Princess, My Mad Fat Diary, Doctor Foster, Thirteen and loads of other stuff. If you’re a big fan of Jodie, then after this episode you’ll be a colossal fan. She’s absolutely ace. What a perfect way to send off the year. Thank you all so much for an ace 2018.  Have a beautiful Christmas. All our peace and love for the new year. 8. Mark Strong

    09/19/2019

    Mark Strong

Hiyer. How goes it? Hope you're good this week. We are. We've done a load of podcast recording. And the first one we're gonna share with you is this absolute beaut featuring the incredible voice of actor Mark Strong. You'll know Mark from loads of stuff. You might've seen him very recently in in Sky One's Temple alongside Craig and previous TSP guest Danny Mays. He's been in loads of other stuff including Kingsman, Sherlock Holmes, Shazam, Deep State, Green Lantern, The Imitation Game, RocknRolla, Zero Dark Thirty and loads, loads more. He's a prolifically brilliant actor and a completely wonderful person. He has a calm and considered demeanour with a voice to match, which we're sure you'll thoroughly enjoy listening to. We sat down with Mark in a swank club in Soho and got down to it. He told us of his joy at playing football matches with unorthodox kick-off times, not regretting turning jobs down, punk bands, being without his parents as a youth, the inexact science of making films, amongst tons of other stuff. This is episode ninety eight of the Two Shot Podcast with Mark Strong.
