  1. Jodie Comer

    Jodie Comer

Well. Here we all are again. It’s episode 69. As this is our last episode of 2018 it seems only fitting to think about what an incredible year it’s been. We’ve been fortunate enough to sit down and meet so many extraordinary people who’ve been so open and so honest with sharing their stories. We wanted to thank each and every one of them.  It isn’t an easy thing to come and meet up with (sometimes) strangers and discuss the deep, intimate parts of your life that can be, sometimes, very revealing... not to mention sharing those to the world! This year we won a British podcast award (We told you right?). We’re so honoured that TSP got recognised alongside so many other podcasts that we love. Do go listen to the many podcasts that made the list as they will all find a place that in your podcast library, we’re sure. As we say goodbye to 2018, it’s fitting we end as we started the year...on a high. We couldn’t think of anyone better to see us out than the brilliant human that is JODIE COMER. Craig & Producer Griff met in London (Earl’s Court) to meet up with Jodie and get their podcast on. It was Jodie’s very first podcast! We’re always so honoured when people want TSP to be their first podcast outing. We don’t think this will disappoint ONE. BIT. You'll know Jodie from her show-stealing depiction of Villanelle in Phoebe Waller-Bridge's incredible Killing Eve alongside Sandra Oh and former TSP guest Susan Lynch. You might also have seen her in The White Princess, My Mad Fat Diary, Doctor Foster, Thirteen and loads of other stuff. If you’re a big fan of Jodie, then after this episode you’ll be a colossal fan. She’s absolutely ace. What a perfect way to send off the year. Thank you all so much for an ace 2018.  Have a beautiful Christmas. All our peace and love for the new year. 2. S06E12 - George Robinson

    03/19/2020

    S06E12 - George Robinson

Hi there mates. Hope you're all drinking your lemon and ginger juice. Ain't no time like the present to boost that immune system. We've got your weekly dose of TSP goodness to wrap your ears around, and this week it is the turn of a brilliant young actor by the name of George Robinson. If you've seen the hit Netflix series Sex Education, you'll have seen George's incredible depiction of Isaac, the butter-wouldn't-melt saboteur of Maeve and Otis's relationship. We met George at Native on the South Bank of the Thames, set up the mics and got into it. We talked intimacy coordinators, growing up in Peterborough, the sporting accident that changed his life, sibling rivalries, his road into drama, life as a lanky person and loads, loads more. George is wryly hilarious, stoic, driven and sharp. He was an absolute pleasure to have on and we're sure you'll be gripped by his rollercoaster story. This is episode 118 of the Two Shot Podcast with George Robinson. X Parish notices - We don't have a clue what's going on with anything at the moment. Some things are cancelled, some things aren't but might be. Sorry to be unclear. We'll keep you posted as soon as we hear anything more definitive. Get in touch... 3. Karl Pilkington

    09/20/2018

    Karl Pilkington

How the devil are you? Thank you so, so much downloading. Things good? Things not so good? Well put all that aside for an hour or so and let's dive into the world of KARL PILKINGTON.  We announced that Karl would be joining us on Monday, as we always do (what? You don't know that? Check your social media!) and since then anticipation has been building for episode 55 and to hear more of what makes Karl, well... Karl.  Craig & Producer Griff travelled south (London's soho to be exact) to meet Karl at the hotel he was staying in. Tea was ordered, microphones were set up and we hit the record button.   It's a bit of a podcast of two halves this really. Craig and Karl start off by having a bit of a moan about all sorts of stuff (well, it was quite early in the morning) and then just before it turns into a full whinge about the state of everything they think is wrong, it's a hand brake turn into Karl's life and his past and what's happening right now. Actually while you're here... what's happening right now is this: https://www.skygroup.sky/corporate/media-centre/articles/en-gb/meet-karl-in-first-look-trailer-for-new-sky-one-comedy-sick-of-it Karl's done with all his travel show stuff and now he heads into sitcom territory with a show cowritten by himself and long term collaborator RICHARD YEE. 'SICK OF IT' starts sept 27th at 10pm on Sky 1 & NOW TV. And before you ask, no, we havnt been sponsored by Sky One. We just like Karl and happen to think his show is dead, dead good. Oh, and there may be a TSP connection for the very first episode of his show... Hmmm. It's a very, very entertaining episode that we loved recording. Karl is an absolutely brilliant fella to spend time some time with, so sit yourself down and strap yourself in.  Really hope you enjoy.  THIS IS EPISODE 55 OF THE TWO SHOT PODCAST WITH KARL PILKINGTON. Get in touch... 4. Jacob Anderson

    11/01/2018

    Jacob Anderson

Spooky seasonal greetings to you all. Hope you're all doing alright. This week on the podcast we are blessed with the company of artistic polymath Jacob Anderson; nom de plume Raleigh Ritchie. You'll have seen Jacob as Grey Worm in HBO's Game Of Thrones, alongside previous TSP guests on Broadchurch, in BBC2's Episodes, and in loads of theatrical productions. As Raleigh Ritchie, Jacob recently put out the frankly brilliant single Time In A Tree which if you haven't heard his music before is as good a place as any to start. Jacob is an absolute treasure. Candid and warm and humble. This episode captures him in a self-reflective mood as he shares his struggles, strifes and hopes. He's a thoroughly lovely human and we hope he captures your hearts as much as he did ours. Big love Jacob. We've just hit #500subs on youtube - To celebrate, we're putting out this week's episode out as a full length video! Emma Appleton

Hiyer. How's it going? Two Shot Podcast here. More like the "Too Hot Podcast" amirite!?!? (sorry if anyone saw us use that joke already on instagram). Anyway, hope you're enjoying the British sunny snap, and if you're not in Britain, then I hope the weather where you are is equally clement. Weather chat done. Welcome to series 10! We've got an absolute banger to kick off with too. It's a lovely chat with Emma Appleton. She's a fantastic actress who you may have seen playing Nancy recently in Danny Boyle's 'Pistol'. She's also in the brilliant new adaptation of Dolly Alderton's 'Everything I Know About Love' on the BBC along with Craig, so go and check those out when you're next short of something to watch. This is a fabulous hour and a bit with Emma and Craig touching on all sorts; The intensity of London, corn exchanges, unsupportive teachers, modelling and creative fulfilment, the sex pistols, power and planning, and loads, loads more. She's a brilliant guest and we're buzzing she decided to come on. This is series ten, episode one of the Two Shot Podcast with Emma Appleton! 6. Matt Berry

    05/03/2018

    Matt Berry

Here we are again. THIS IS EPISODE 41 OF THE TWO SHOT PODCAST and this week we're thrilled to welcome... the man, the voice... THE MATT BERRY! Craig & Producer Griff travelled into London's Soho to meet Matt on the hottest day of the year so far (remember that? Was that our summer?) and popped to our favourite tea shop, Maison Bertaux (Greek street - you should go, it's ace!) and sat down, and more importantly cooled down, and then got down to it. It's a cracker of an episode with Matt and we discuss all sorts; growing up, music, albums, comedy, creativity, insomnia, and the London dungeons. You're gonna love it.  You'll know Matt from his extensive work on shows like Snuffbox, The I.T. Crowd, Darkplace, The Mighty Boosh and of course, the brilliant Toast of London. Sit back. relax. and let the smooth tones of this episode wash over you. YES!! P.S. Sorry about the background noise in this episode. As it was such a lovely day, all the windows and doors were opened out onto the bustling streets of Soho and the chatter and ambience spilled. Just think of it as a bit of audio set-dressing. Nice one. (Producer Griff) We were nominated for a prestigious British Podcast award last week in the 'Best Culture Podcast' category and we're very proud. It's now up to a panel of expert judges but there's another category that we could do with your help in: The 'Listeners' Choice Award'. 7. Joseph Gilgun

    09/14/2017

    Joseph Gilgun

This week we're celebrating some of the talented, past TSP guests who've been recognised at this year's BAFTAs. This episode with Joseph Gilgun first aired September 14th 2017. Alright. How’s it going? Thanks loads for downloading and listening.  Here we at our tenth episode. La Decima! We’ve got something special for you this week...  it’s a Two Shot Podcast chat with the one and only Joseph Gilgun. You might know him as Woody from Shane Meadow's This is England, As Rudy Wade in Misfits alongside our host Craig, as Eli Dingle in ITV's Emmerdale, or morer recently as Cassidy in AMC's Preacher. Joe is a special character. A rakish raconteur with a passion for making people piss their pants laughing. He wears his feelings on his sleeve and his disarming honesty and endearing vulnerability really make this an unmissable episode. We talk about drama school, dyslexia, family, anxieties and growing up in a Lancashire town. It’s a wonderfully frank hour or so and if there’s not at least one moment that doesn’t make you laugh out loud then we’ll give you your money back. Enjoy. It’s Two Shot Pod number ten with Joseph Gilgun.  We're a brand new podcast and need all the help we can get to get our episodes heard. Please tell your friends about us IRL and help spread the word on the internet, give us a rating or a 'like' on here if you enjoy what you hear, and subscribe to stay update with future episodes. We've got some brilliant guests lined up.  Facebook- search 'Two Shot Podcast'  Twitter- @twoshotpod  Instagram- @twoshotpod  If you've enjoyed listening then please click through to https://www.patreon.com/twoshotpod to make a donation to the running costs of the show. 8. Mark Strong

    09/19/2019

    Mark Strong

Hiyer. How goes it? Hope you're good this week. We are. We've done a load of podcast recording. And the first one we're gonna share with you is this absolute beaut featuring the incredible voice of actor Mark Strong. You'll know Mark from loads of stuff. You might've seen him very recently in in Sky One's Temple alongside Craig and previous TSP guest Danny Mays. He's been in loads of other stuff including Kingsman, Sherlock Holmes, Shazam, Deep State, Green Lantern, The Imitation Game, RocknRolla, Zero Dark Thirty and loads, loads more. He's a prolifically brilliant actor and a completely wonderful person. He has a calm and considered demeanour with a voice to match, which we're sure you'll thoroughly enjoy listening to. We sat down with Mark in a swank club in Soho and got down to it. He told us of his joy at playing football matches with unorthodox kick-off times, not regretting turning jobs down, punk bands, being without his parents as a youth, the inexact science of making films, amongst tons of other stuff. This is episode ninety eight of the Two Shot Podcast with Mark Strong. Anjli Mohindra

What's popping Two Shot Podcast listeners? How are you diddling? It's episode 84 time. We've got another fantastic guest for you this week in the form of the actor Anjli Mohnindra. You might know Anjli from Jed Mercurio's brilliant drama Bodyguard or from ITV's Dark Heart amongst a bunch of other stuff. We met her in Maison Bertaux on Greek Street on a spring-like day where after a brief discussion on the nature of gratitude and moan about ungrateful road users, she and Craig got down to it. She's a brilliantly warm and genuine person with a brilliant outlook on life and we're sure you'll enjoy listening in to her story. Thanks a lot for being here. A bit of bad news here about the live show at the BFI -  We’re so sorry to say that due to a personal issue, we’ve had to pull out of the Radio Times festival on April 14th. We're so sorry to let you down but this is unavoidable. Many thanks to Radio Times, the BFI & Richard E. Grant for their warmth & support. BFI will be in touch about refunds. We’ll talk to Richard later in the year. Promise. If you want a TSP badge then have a listen here and see how you can get one. If you enjoy the podcast and want to donate we'd absolutely love that!
