In this episode, your host Helene Hill dives into her personal experience with intussusception and its aftermath. Helene suffered a closed loop bowel obstruction in February this year and underwent two emergency surgeries. The first surgery involved removing 15cm of her small bowel, and the second was to remove 2L of blood from her stomach due to internal bleeding. Helene discusses her time in ICU, how this experience has shaped her, and the aftermath of this hospital stay.
Helene shares her personal experience with intussusception, which may not be the same for everyone. Please keep in mind that her experience is unique and should not be considered the norm, as intussusception is a rare condition in adults with limited research and information available.
