A Field Guide to the Bible

What a wonderful introduction to the Bible & so easy to understand and learn from. I finished all the episodes a few days ago & enjoyed each one thoroughly. So appreciative of you guys for putting this together & sharing with us. God bless!

I’ve been interacting with 1517.org content for a couple of years now, and I have not been disappointed with any of their resources. On the contrary, 1517.org is replete with accessible, well-researched content and with inspired delivery often with plenty of humor and humility. My knowledge of the Bible and my relationship with God has deepened considerably since I discovered 1517 (via Chad Bird). The Field Guide to the Bible podcast is a great entry point for the new listener. Even for the seasoned believer, it’s nice to review the key themes of the Bible with concise, clear, and solid commentary. I enjoy all the different voices at 1517.org, not just Chad Bird’s, although he is the reason I began to explore their resources. I would also mention a lot of this material is also available in video format on YouTube, which is another nice offering. I am not Lutheran, but the theology expressed at 1517.org has become my bread and butter when seeking online Christian content for learning/Christian living. It has proven to be very trustworthy and reliable as it is backed with solid scholarship, yet very accessible to the layperson. I also love that it is ad-free thanks to all the generous donors. Love to see God working in this way to bring His Truth to all people during times in which we are inundated with so much false teaching.
