Blood like Fate, the sequel to Blood like Magic, picks up 6 months after the first book ended. Voya is the matriarch and is hitting roadblocks from all angles. Her family does support her, the "community" doesn't respect her, and oh she's given a vision where witches are dying from a hacked gene! She has a lot going on. Throw in a couple of revenge plots and a slight murder mystery and you've got the jammed back sequel and conclusion, so far, to Voya and her journey to break generation curses. Mo is depressed and catching strays, and the entire family is struggling with finding their place, their purpose, and their calling. A travel book to its core, This Wicked Fate, takes the reader on a journey to mysterious islands filled with monsters and gods that may or may not be totally helpful.
