    WTF... Actually happens when you report Sexual Assault? Ft. the Forensic Nurse & Legal team at Providence Hospital, WA

In this episode of Actual* Experts, Caitlin and Lundie sit down with four members of a Washington State hospital sexual assault response team - forensic nurses Paula Skomski and Sherri Weyker, legal advocate Chelsy Sommer, and legal coordinator Michelle DeSoto - to educate us on what really happens when someone goes to the hospital after an assault. We find out what a sexual assault kit actually entails, how long survivors have to make decisions, what “anonymous” really mean, who pays for the exam, and why survivors have far more choice and control than most people realize.
