Image by magicalstock.art You were made for these times - I truly believe this about every single one of us. Lucky you (and me). Only said slightly sarcastically (I’ve accepted my intentional arrival at this time on earth, lol). Reflections From Heartbeat's Harbor is a reader-supported publication. For anyone who knows the quote “for such a time as this”, it may seem so, but while I was raised in an extremely religious family, I would say now I am ‘spiritual’ or ‘always evolving’. I am very open-minded. This is why you’ll hear me vary between ‘Universe’, ‘God’, ‘Goddess’, ‘Source’, ‘Spirit’, ‘The Divine’, and so on. However, I fully expect people will switch it out for the word that resonates for them, and I take no issue with that. And, while I certainly heard the story of Esther many times throughout my childhood and teenage years, it was not at all related to how I received the download (or inspiration) I received for this meditation. This idea seed came through to me once in meditation, which I texted to myself, and once again when I was on the verge of sleep. The voice transcribed reminder I set for myself that time was blurry at best, and I had to reconnect to it, but from the beginning could feel that it was urgently needed, and I could not let this idea slip away in my sleep. I rarely put due dates or times on my inspired ideas, but I knew I had to this time. The intention set for this meditation is to support you in: * clearing negative energy you’ve picked up from outside sources, * feeling safe in your body despite the current state of the world, * trusting in this divine timing, and * believing you can play a part in making an impact on the collective, towards change for the better. I feel strongly that this needs to reach many, many people - if you agree, please share! I’ve made this a free post, so that as many people as possible will be able to access it. Important Knowledge That is Relevant * "For such a time as this" is a phrase from the Biblical Book of Esther (4:14), signifying that an individual is placed in their specific, current circumstances or position by divine providence for a particular purpose, often requiring brave, decisive action. It highlights that one’s role—whether as a leader, parent, or in a difficult situation—is not accidental but intentional. However, as is clear in the conversation held in this part of the scripture, Mordecai is urging Esther to choose the tough road. She still has a choice, no matter what ‘God’s plan’ may have been. * Our current times are not the only awful times. There have been horrific times in the world repeated throughout history. If everyone gave up or ignored when things got bad, we wouldn’t be here today (yes, I do mean the human race). I urge you to choose the tough road. You have a choice about how you participate in your life, and I believe every single one of us can create massive impact, if only we choose it. But even if you just do a little bit, it all adds up. No matter where you stand politically, religiously, spiritually or any other way, I hope you decide to stand for better for all of humanity. And, I hope that this meditation helps you on that path, every time that you listen. This is a part of the contribution I am making here.
