Steve Franks was creator, writer, and executive producer of the USA Network original series Psych.
A southern California native, Franks earned a BA in English from the University of California, Irvine in 1991 while also doing stand-up comedy and fronting the popular Orange County band, Friendly Indians. While a graduate student in the film department of Loyola Marymount University, Franks career was launched when his first screenplay, "Big Daddy" was purchased by Columbia Pictures as a vehicle for Adam Sandler, and went on to gross more than 160 million dollars domestically.
On the heels of this success, Franks went on to create and work on more than a dozen other feature film projects, including the action/comedy "Skiptracer" for producer Neal Moritz and Sony Pictures, and the feature version of "I Dream of Jeannie."
On the television side, Franks has been involved in numerous projects for ABC, CBS, and NBC networks. A fan for many years of classic, light detective shows like "Moonlighting" and "Magnum P.I.," Franks created a character this year who shares a similar tone - a psychic detective who has no psychic abilities. Thus Psych was born.
Franks resides in Orange County with his wife and children.

Shortly after noon on November 22, 1963, President John F. Kennedy was assassinated as he rode in a motorcade through Dealey Plaza in downtown Dallas, Texas.
By the fall of 1963, President John F. Kennedy and his political advisers were preparing for the next presidential campaign. Although he had not formally announced his candidacy, it was clear that President Kennedy was going to run and he seemed confident about his chances for re-election.
At the end of September, the president traveled west, speaking in nine different states in less than a week. The trip was meant to put a spotlight on natural resources and conservation efforts. But JFK also used it to sound out themes—such as education, national security, and world peace—for his run in 1964.

Very fun love the behind the scenes and interviews

So interesting to hear all the stories and details I never knew happened (MJF was not the first Marty!) Loved hearing from the SFX guy- so professional, detailed, and amazing experiences.

Enjoy It With A Glass Of Nog….Egg!

There are few things I enjoy in this life, but two of which are Back To The Future and eggnog. Both can be polarizing in terms of overall taste, but rarely do you get a look of straight disgust from someone when you mention your preference for Back To The Future. And while eggnog is typically enjoyed for only a couple months at the end of the year, Brad has created a treat in this podcast that can be enjoyed and revisited year round! Even as good as eggnog is, when the season comes to an end, you are probably a little sick of it and have put on a few pounds as a result. On the contrary, when a season of the BTTF podcast comes to an end, you are left thirsting for more! And the only thing you have gained is the massive amounts of amazing BTTF knowledge Brad has instilled in you! So do yourself a favor and when you are done listening to your favorite eggnog podcast, subscribe to the BTTF podcast and give our friend in time, Brad “The Boat” Gilmore a listen to. Every episode is delivered creamy smooth and rich with laughs from start to finish! - Jeremy Havlik

Sharing with my kids

Brad does a great job of bringing a movie to life by showing how it can relate to real world topics. I’ve been able to share the movie and podcast with my children and recreate the same feelings I had as a kid for the Back to the Future movies.
