    A Comerse Los Ricos!

    A Comerse Los Ricos!

Another week, another email that starts with “Now more than ever.” We get straight to it in Currento Eventos discussing pro-democracy protests in Thailand, another upswing in Covid19 cases here in the US, and rich people’s exclusive travel clubs for their pandemic convenience. In What’s your baggage we finish our conversation about self-concept. For Put it in your bag Lina talks about the Netflix series Trinkets and Estephanie talks about the Queer owned, size inclusive jewelry brand Automic. Finally for our rotating theme we talk about art and interpretation, and discuss the Medusa statue placed in downtown Manhattan that people are saying symbolizes the #Metoo movement.

This podcast right here though..THIS PODCAST RIGHT HERE THOUGH!!!

I’ve been going through a major transition in my personal life, and have been looking for podcasts that are curated by black women. Having stumbled upon the Bag Ladiez has given me something to look forward to listen to on a weekly basis that makes me feel like I’m not alone. I identify as Afro Latino 🇭🇳 and it’s not everyday that you come across a media source that speaks on what it’s like to be a part of a community that often gets overlooked amongst the black diaspora. More importantly this podcast is very inclusive and speaks real bluntly about the issues plaguing our world and nation all while reminding us of the work we need to do within our own communities to fight the powers that be; all while making sure that we’re taking care of ourselves and loved ones.I would like to thank Estephanie and Lina both for sharing their thoughts, experiences, and concerns as well as encouraging me to look inside myself and deal with my own mental struggles in a more healthy way.I couldn’t be more grateful to have stumbled upon this podcast . Tell a friend to tell a friend, these two are it!!!

Bag Ladiez is one of my regular podcasts, part of my weekly rotation. They are amazing!! My personal politics align closely with theirs and I feel like I am talking to my friends every Wednesday morning over a cup of cafecito. They also provide such great entertainment and make great suggestions about anything and everything every week. You will NOT be disappointed by this podcast.
