UConn Head Coach Dan Hurley + Louisville Parts Ways With Chris Mack & Alabama May Be NIT-bound

On today's episode, Jake, Marty, and Big Cat start off discussing Louisville and head coach Chris Mack parting ways (02:54). Was Mack given enough time? What's next for the Cardinals? Then we move on to the early week action starting with Kansas' double overtime win against Texas Tech (08:17). Are these the two best teams in the Big 12?
Next the guys discuss Alabama's downward spiral which continued Tuesday in a very bad loss to Georgia (13:18). Big Cat has a new merch idea for the struggling Tide. What is going on with Nate Oats' squad? We head to the Big 10 where Illinois edged Michigan State without both Kofi Cockburn and Andre Curbelo (20:30). Are the Illini the best team in the conference? And where do the Spartans rank in the Big 10?
And out west - UCLA handled Arizona on Tuesday night giving the Wildcats their first conference loss (23:20). Will Marty finally give some credit to the Bruins?

Then - we are joined by UConn head coach Dan Hurley (27:23). Coach Hurley discusses his Huskies’ season so far, the differences coaching at the high school and college levels, and his surprising lack of technical fouls this season. Plus - Coach Hurley tries to finally squash the beef between Rico and Adrian Wojnarowski.

Auburn Keeps Rolling, More Mid-Major Arguments, + Love/Hate featuring Barstool Reags

Auburn Keeps Rolling, More Mid-Major Arguments, + Love/Hate featuring Barstool Reags

On today’s show, Jake and Marty are joined by Reags, one of Barstool’s leading college hoops bloggers and Kentucky Wildcat diehard. And that is exactly where we start the show: Auburn took down Reags’ Wildcats on Saturday (04:20). Did the game live up to the hype? Marty says yes but Reags doesn’t think so. And is Reags hitting the panic button on Kentucky?

Next - we keep things in the SEC where Tennessee picked up a big win over LSU (17:25). The Tigers have now lost 3 in a row. How much concern should there be in Baton Rouge?

Then - Marty and Reags debate Duke’s ranking among title contenders (22:16). Reags doesn’t see the Blue Devils as a top 6 team and Marty doesn’t want to hear it. They then return to the argument of the relevance of mid-majors.

To the Big 10 and Assembly Hall where the Hoosiers took down in-state rival Purdue (39:18). What’s wrong with the Boilermakers? Can their offense mask their defensive issues? Elsewhere - Big Cat’s Badgers finally had their let down game in a loss to Michigan State (45:25).

We wrap up with Love/Hate (53:28) and Beating the Buzzer (01:02:48).

Purdue's Sasha Stefanovic + Down Goes Duke, Badgers Keep Rolling, And The Big 12 Is The Best Conference

Purdue's Sasha Stefanovic + Down Goes Duke, Badgers Keep Rolling, And The Big 12 Is The Best Conference

On today's episode, Jake, Marty, and Big Cat start off discussing Duke's loss to Florida State (03:16). Is it panic time for Marty? Then Big Cat and Marty talk about some of their future bets (10:35) before moving to some Big 10 action (14:37). On Monday - Purdue took down Illinois in double overtime. Illinois was impressive in the loss and could be a team to watch out for in March. And the hottest team in the country is Big Cat's Badgers (18:13).
We then go to the Big 12 where  Texas Tech took down Iowa State (23:27). Are the Red Raiders better than we thought? Texas, on the other hand, may be the most disappointing team in the country. And Baylor ended their 2-game skid with a win over West Virginia (31:00). Is the Big 12 the deepest conference in the country?
Then Jake and Marty are joined by Purdue's Sasha Stefanovic coming off a double overtime win against Illinois. Stefanovic talks about his huge performance in the win over the Illini, dealing with the Boilermakers preseason hype, and the gauntlet that the Big 10 schedule can be. Plus - Sasha apologizes to Barstool Carl for burying three after three in his face.

    We get to Love/Hate (55:40) and Beating the Buzzer (01:06:35) before recapping Wednesday's action including Alabama-LSU (01:12:04), Marquette-Villanova (01:17:43), Kentucky-Texas A&M (01:21:41), and more.

Jake then breaks down all the upsets we witnessed and what it means for the rankings and tourney (6:59). The boys go conference by conference to see how each was affected by said upsets, starting with the Pac-12 (11:40) -- Is UCLA legit? Is Arizona the new favorite? -- The guys then talk Tennessee and YIKES, they are not looking good, while Kentucky keeps proving themselves over and over again (21:33). Marty is disappointed with Texas and really thinks they should've been better but the guys really are starting to respect the way Iowa St. has been playing (28:00). The crew has turned the corner on Wisconsin and there is nothing bad they can say, Marty is a believer (44:22). Finally, Jake ends the show with Love/Hate (48:37) and Beating the Buzzer (54:57).

Rab Schneider ,

Mush is a moron

Guy really doesn’t know a thing and is just a Duke homer. Almost impossible to listen to this absolute idiot discuss college basketball. Thank goodness for Jake and the special guests. Rico WAS also insufferable. Cannot wait for Duke to lose in the tournament and listen to this shmuck cry about it. High Noonan

lopez918 ,
